I liked that it comes in a resealable bag to guarantee freshness in between feeds, I felt like the print that mentions it’s made for senior dogs could’ve been a little bigger. The product is made up of small round brown kibble and tiny brown circular pieces of kibble which makes for a variety among texture. My dog really seemed to enjoy the variation of kibble sizes as well and scarfed this product down. I noticed that a few days into eating this he seemed more alert and energetic, since trying it he seems to have gone back to default bowel movements as well which is great. Nutritionally I think the product is good and the value is okay considering you’re getting a higher quality product for the price. I look forward to buying more from this brand

I’ve been buying Blue Buffalo for my chihuahua for more than half his life (he is 16). He seemed perfectly happy eating the Adult Formula with no issues. When I saw the Senior Formula I decided to give it a try. I noticed right away he was more whiny, acting strange, visibly bloated and he was frequently and audibly passing gas. I thought this was good quality but had some questions about my dogs death months after changing her to this.. studied up and looking at the infinite list of ingredients now WHAT WAS I THINKING?! and if that isn’t bad enough, the synthetics, no vitamin D is listed and 45 % of the recipe is carbohydrates, which is way too high. FYI ROSEMARY CAN TRIGGER SEIZURES IN THOSE PRONE so not worth the price! The consumer is only paying for the clever marketing behind this terrible product.

We have two doodles— a 5 year old Great Pyrenees/doodle and a 1 year old Newfoundland/Bernese mountain/doodle. They are big dogs weighing in at about 70 lbs and 80 lbs. Our older dog has had TPLO surgery and arthritis problems and we are confident this food has helped her joints recover. Our younger dog woofs it down and then waits for the older one to finish in case there are left overs to be had. They seriously love it. It is expensive and we go through a lot in the span of a month, but ultimately our dogs don’t get to choose what they eat and so it’s our duty as dog owners to choose something healthy, sustainable and tasty for them. This is our dog food of choice most likely for forever!
