Manufactured by Elanco, Credelio is a palatable flea and tick treatment for cats. The chews are potent enough to eliminate 100% fleas within 12 hours of administration. Administering this monthly treatment regularly to your pet can provide round the year protection from fleas and ticks. Moreover, the chews also wipe off ticks within 24-48 hours. Credelio starts acting on the adult fleas in 4 hours of administration. Its palatable taste makes it popular among cats.
Lotilaner, which is an ectoparasite is a member of the isoxazoline group. It hinders insect and acarine gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA)-gated chloride channels. This inhibition blocks the transfer of chloride ions across cell membranes, which causes an uncontrolled neuromuscular activity leading to the death of insects and acarines. The chew should be administered on the kittens 8 weeks of age and older and weighing 1.1 lbs or greater.
