Was working great for 3 days until I was sitting there watching tv and the bulb shattered all over the top of my geckos cage and the tiny pieces fell inside now I gotta spend hours cleaning the cage out

I don’t remember exactly when I got this bulb, but I do know it has been less than two months, and it has already burned out. I know heat bulbs have relatively short lived, but I’ve never had one burn out this quickly.
gibby106 (verified owner) –
Everything was great until the light burned out not even a week after getting it. This was the BACK UP heat lamp, so our gecko is without a heating lamp until I can replace it after work. The other bulb was the same and it lasted roughly 4 months.

They had a big sale so I bought-3 of these and another type of light. 1 was broken when I first took it out of box and another was turned on for 5 minutes then I heard a thud, it broke and fell out of the light socket.

I bought this b/c the lady in petsupplycanada told me it would be the best. She was right! My leopard gecko loves it and I keep it as a 24/7 light fixture. He is always active at night and b/c geckos can’t see red it doesn’t affect his day/night cycle. I would highly reccomad this for a leopard gecko.

This was perfect for my res turtle but only worked for a month, the bulb I had previously (different brand) lasted months. Very disappointed.
No0name0at0all (verified owner) –
I bought this a month or two back, it was super easy to install and did a decent job of keeping my beardie warm. I woke up today to turn it on, only to find that it had burned out. I’ve went with this brand for my UVB as well which has lasted months! I’m not quite sure what’s going on with the heat lights.
Esquire4u (verified owner) –
Plugged into light receptacle (using recommended wattage) and it exploded after a few hours of use. I had to clean glass out of the turtle/fish tank.
petlover21 (verified owner) –
I have a pair of baby bearded dragons and they seem to be doing well with this heat lamp. If they feel too warm they hide away from it but it keeps them slightly warm at night. The heat lamp does however give off enough heat to make the room a bit warm so I would suggest you don’t have the tank inside your bedroom. The light looks cool at night and it doesn’t affect their sleep routine.

This product needs to be replaced every 4 to 6 weeks. Not sure if anyone else has this issue. Six weeks if I’m lucky, just seems like it should last longer.

I bought several bulbs and have to keep returning them because they burn out within a month. I thought it could’ve been the fixture but nope. I tried a different fixture and they still burnt out within minutes this time.

I’ve had this bulb for almost a year now, and I like it. I use it with a clamp light on my hermit crabs *100watt* and it keeps their tank at perfect temperature, as long as your careful not to leave it on too long. It does get overly hot if its on for more than 10 hours though. I keep their tank at 80Degrees Fahrenheit.

Very disappointed with this product. It was used for only 4 nights (on 10 hrs a night), and already burnt out! These bulbs are very expensive, and are supposed to last for months.
I have to buy this type of bulb to keep my turtles warm at night. I guess that I have to get a replacement.

I use a heat lamp for our hamster during the winter. I have been doing this for about six or more years now. I usually buy one heat bulb a year, sometimes I need two bulbs. I bought this 75W bulb in early November. I can’t recall exactly when I started using it, but it’s not even two months old and blew tonight… I think I am being kind giving it 3 stars. I will probably look for a different brand to replace it.

KingsRansome (verified owner) –
I recently bought 4 day-old chicks and needed a heat bulb to keep them warm. The 75 w bulb is PERFECT. This bulb kept them nice and toasty 24/7 without cooking them like the 150-250 w bulbs would’ve done. Overall, great product that works with a variety of animals. 🙂

These bulbs put out soft and tranquil lighting that is very calming and aesthetically pleasing. You dont need or want bright lights in your enclosure..NEWSFLASH PEOPLE!..reptiles DONT like that. And as far as heat goes..these bulbs ROCK! I had to step down to the 75 watt because the bigger one heated my entire terrarium (yes even the cool side) up and KILLED my humidity (NOT GOOD!) There are a lot of choices out there for lighting..This is by far the best one.

First I bought a Fluker ceramic lamp so there’d be no heat issues, then purchased a 100W and 150W Exo because the online price was so low. It was low because it’s trash. The 100W burned out after maybe a week, I think I got a week and a half from the 150 but the latter exploded and left shards of glass all inside my turtle tank. Will never buy this brand again and suggest anyone who did to take them back for a refund. Use this garbage at your own risk. Your pets deserve better.

I read the reviews before I purchased this product thought it was a good choice. I only had this light since 12/10 and only turned it on at night for my Boa and light is now dead. I don’t think 3 months of usage was long enough so I will be talking to my local pet store about this. Not sure if I’ll chance this brand again.

Not sure if it was defective or just a bad brand. Either way, it should definitely work long than 2 weeks of overnight use! I do not recommend, not even a little bit!

Great for my crabs! I used to use it at night for my tortoises and turtles too, but I realized that they could still see the red rays, and it was disrupting their sleep patterns. (I also did a quick search, most cholonians can still see red and black light, so most night bulbs wouldn’t work for me)
But it works great for the crabs, nice and toasty, not too drying, and it promotes their nocturnal behavior!

I bought this light not even a month ago and already it burnt out and it isn’t even the first I have bought in this time frame its the second the first lasted all of a week and burnt out this one lasted a little longer but overall it still burnt out way faster than the ones I have previously had that lasted well over 8 months or longer. I am disappointed and won’t be buying this brand anymore as I shouldn’t have to replace the bulb more than once in a certain time frame but less than a month ? Is not within a decent time frame especially when I can’t afford replace it multiple times a month that’s ridiculous.

These bulbs are great for heating tanks all day and night. I keep a red-eared slider in my classroom, which gets very cold in the winter. The first year, she started to go partially into hibernation, even with a water heater and a broad spectrum UV bulb. Once this infrared bulb was added, it became summer all year round! The 75 watt provides enough heat to keep a large 70 gallon tank warm enough even in a room that averages around 55-60 degrees (F).

The 75W is fine for spring as long as the temperature outside doesn’t drop below 50°F. The red light makes it easy for me to check on my hedgie at night without disturbing her by turning my lights on

Very disappointed with this product. It was used for only 4 nights (on 10 hrs a night), and already burnt out! These bulbs are very expensive, and are supposed to last for months.

I have this bulb in my 75 gallon terrarium and it makes a great hot spot for my beardie. I need to get another heat bulb for the other side of the tank since its getting too cold. This product is a great value and heats up half of the tank. My house has poor heating which is why I need two on that tank. If you have a warm house or smaller tank one would be perfect.

I bought the 75W & 100W bulbs for my hedgehog cage. The 100W has lasted me 2 months. It’s done at keeping the cage around 74-78°F. I’ll try the 150W in the winter. The 75W is fine for spring as long as the temperature outside doesn’t drop below 50°F. The red light makes it easy for me to check on my hedgie at night without disturbing her by turning my lights on

I don’t remember exactly when I got this bulb, but I do know it has been less than two months, and it has already burned out. I know heat bulbs have relatively short lived, but I’ve never had one burn out this quickly.

This was perfect for my res turtle but only worked for a month, the bulb I had previously (different brand) lasted months. Very disappointed.

My turtle likes this light. I use it all the time so he can nap without it bothering him. Gives off enough heat for him.

Beware!! I bought this light bulb exactly 2 weeks ago today and when I woke up this morning it had burned out! I only used this overnight and cannot believe it is already dead. Not sure if it was defective or just a bad brand. Either way, it should definitely work long than 2 weeks of overnight use! I do not recommend, not even a little bit!

I am happy if they last 6 months but I got a year out of the last one.

They had a big sale so I bought-3 of these and another type of light. 1 was broken when I first took it out of box and another was turned on for 5 minutes then I heard a thud, it broke and fell out of the light socket.

One star for each night it worked. Yes, it quit after one night of heating. Hope its a fluke.

I bought several bulbs and have to keep returning them because they burn out within a month. I thought it could’ve been the fixture but nope. I tried a different fixture and they still burnt out within minutes this time.

I stocked up on this just in case our other light bulb goes out during the winter.

After reading reviews i got the 75 watts. It worked great, until it popped and ended up in the bottom of our tank. I double checked the watt recommended on the lamp and it was 75 watts.
