In the packaging, it appears that this tape is stronger and thicker than the other styles. However, when you get home and open the package, you’ll find that the extra fortified portion is only a few inches and the rest of the tape is exactly like their other styles. This one is also more expensive.

This leash has been though many hikes and walks with us and it’s still holding strong. It’s strong enough for when my retriever starts jumping around wanting to play with other dogs. I pull her back without any issues.

I wanted to replace my 20yr old leash and this is the same brand as my old one. The handle is solid and feels strong, as does the tape. My 7mo old Golden Retriever is quite the puller right now and this will stand up to her almost 40lbs well. The only thing is the hook is quite a bit smaller than on my old leash but it isn’t a show stopper. The next size leash was huge and I didn’t want that.

My nine year old, leash trained dog has NEVER chewed through a leash until now. I am so disappointed with this purchase. The leash is chewed right at the top of the “Xtreme” area of the leash. I was standing on the beach with my dog and LITERALLY in seconds she was at my side, but free of the leash. The very first 10 minutes of use! This dog is not a chewer. I’m still blown away.

I bought this a couple of weeks ago and am very happy I did. It is made in Germany and the quality is definitely there. I have a Cocker Spaniel and this helps a lot during non structured walks as he is under control but free to sniff and roam.

The retractable tape is brilliant, much safer than the cord used in lighter weight flexi leashes in that it is easier to see and less abrasive if it does get pulled against the back of your legs. The spring/retractable features worked with no problem even when wet, as did the break button and lock. The adjustable sized grip is in my opinion useless.

I bought this a couple weeks ago. I left my GOOD ONE behind. Not knowing the exact brand of leash; needless to say NONE, ANYWHERE I looked could compare. Anyway this is not super strong I have a 14 month old Pit. She’s pretty docile usually but she’s animal with animals instincts. It about rips my arm off at times and gets stuck. Just not at all what I expected for fifty dollars.

I needed a leash for my 4.5 pound fur baby. However, I don’t like how “messy, unmanageable & often entwined” a regular leash gets. I came across the flexi leash & thought I’d give it a go. It works great. Easy to carry, retracts better & easier than my seatbelt, yet give the illusion my fur baby is free. Only downside which I changed was the latch. It was so big. Not really sure why they used a huge latching system for a small set up. But no worries. Any half wit can cut off old and the size you prefer. Just save the material from old latch to add your new latch and make sure you run a few extra lines of threat through it. Best of luck!!!

The quality of this leash is far beyond any other we have owned. Our fur baby is a chewer and likes to grab at the leash tape at times. This leash has a good length of reinforced cord connected to the leash tape and our girl has not even bothered with it. The adjustable handle size is handy and works smoothly. Finally, the leash retracts very smoothly as well, with no hand jolts. I seriously considered a less expensive item but am so happy I chose this one. It is well worth the price.
