Everything is well made and durable. I love how it’s made of all chew proof metal. My favorite part is how it has a slide out bottom tray. It’s makes it so easy to clean and refresh. The habitat is also on wheels which makes it easy to move around. Plus they all lock. I also like how it has a roof top door with a handle. It gives you easy access to your pet, the shelves and the ramps. The bottom shelf is perfect to store all your pets needs such as food, treats, bedding, etc. The only thing I was bummed out about was they forgot to drill a hole in one of the posts so I couldn’t screw a corner of the shelf in. It’s still pretty sturdy though. As for assembly, it was pretty easy to put together. You just screwed everything together. Overall this is a great cage. I’ve also seen some convert it into a bird cage. I feel this habitat is very versatile. I highly recommend!

I was really looking forward to this cage for our rat. This is made of a really flimsy material. This was damaged when we bought it but the store was so far didn’t want to return. The screws and what it goes into have both stripped on several of the screw sites. The wires are bent and won’t go back. We got this on sale for about $100 off so not terrible but if I would be furious if I paid full price.

Easy to assemble. Great cage for a solo chinchilla. One of my girls shreds all wood overnight, so this is a nice alternative to replacing wooden ledges every few weeks which gets quite expensive. I still provide her with wooden toys of course haha, but the all metal ramps and shelves are perfect for those overachieving chewers, and the metal helps keep chins nice and cool as well!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First of all thank you so much Influenster for such an amazing cage this was really easy to assemble I have a paralyzed squirrel named Kruger who has been with us since she was a baby and it’s hard finding something for her that she can get up and down on but when I got this cage it came with little ramps and she is able to get up and down the ramps so easily she absolutely loves her new cage she explored it for awhile she has so much more room now to play and move around it makes my heart so happy to see her being able to get around and up and down the ramps it’s just beautiful this is very roomy it says small but it is amazing how big the size is it comes with so much storage room underneath that we use now to keep her food and her blankets and the stuff we use for her the cage is chew proof which I love because she’s a little chewer I would recommend this to everyone who has a little fur baby at home that needs a cage I am simply beyond grateful for this and I would love to own more of these wonderful products

It took me 1 hour by myself to finish. The hardest part was installing the shelves, they were difficult to maneuver around the wires. It seems sturdy, but the wires do bend easily. It is easy to clean, the door is large and the top opens up for easy access. The shelf on the bottom is great. I appreciate the opportunity to review this and would definitely recommend it as my chinchilla enjoys his new home!

The instructions were clear and easy to follow. I had a bit of trouble putting the ramps in. I needed an extra set of hands because they kept getting caught in between the wires when I was putting the other side on. Mr. Reynolds loves his new home. My husband did add some metal around the bottom and on the floor to help keep the bedding in because Gerbils like to burrow. This is not supposed to be used for Gerbils but we thought it would make a perfect gerbil cage and it did! The bar spacing meets the minimum requirement for gerbils so this is absolutely safe for them.

For how big it is, it takes up pretty minimal space. It is nice and sturdy and will definitely keep your pets safe. Setting up the top path in the bottom half was just fine, however, once it came to screwing in the wheels, there was only one wheel that was really difficult for me to screw on, and it barely is holding on right now. and the shelving however, once it came to screwing in the wheels, there was only one wheel that was really difficult for me to screw on, and it barely is holding on right now. All of the pieces for this cage were marked with a letter to make it easier to put together but I ended up with 2 letter “C” parts which made it so I had to fabricate it a bit to make it work. We live an hour from where we bought it so it wasn’t an option to drive back to switch it out for a different kit.

we were going away for two and a half weeks, leaving our animals in the care of friends. as we were saying goodbye to our pets we noticed our rat had escaped. we found her, ran to petsupplycanada, and bought the only chew proof cage they had. not only did it take almost an hour to put together (just a mom and daughter), but the design was faulty! the 3 screw holes running up both sides of the cage would not line up to put the screws in. i had to swap the two side panels. they lines up perfectly. but since the sides were swapped, the top does not secure at all! i had to pile a bunch of stuff on top and hope the rat would not be able to knock it off. for the amount of money this cage cost, which was $200, i would expect not to run into as much trouble as we did. i am going to try to exchange it once we get home and hope that the new one will work the way it is supposed to. (not to mention the time this is going to take to do this). i am extremely disappointed with this purchase and there really should be more options because the cage is massive! if i wasnt on vacation, i probably would take the time to write a review that really reflects my feelings and experience with this cage.

This cage is awful. To start the door you open is crazy small and an adult can barley fit in it to clean it. The top opens but its so far down that you cant reach to clean it from the top so it is no possible to clean from there. Besides that the shelves never fit right and i had to have my dad bend the bars so we could get them to sit. I have only had the cage for a few moths and the coating is already pealing and chipping off. This whole product is awful. It would be a great cage for rats if the door was bigger so you could clean it and the paint did not chip. And of coarse its past my warranty so I am just out the money. DONT BUY THIS CAGE!

It is an ok cage if you need one right away. I wish I would have read reviews before I purchased in store. It is misaligned in some areas, but it wasn’t a deal breaker for me. The wheels kept coming off. I had to superglue them on. I’m not sure if that will work yet as I just did it. For the price, the wheels should be more sturdy.

I bought this product about a week and half ago, putting this together actually had holes that were too overstretched for the screw to fit in properly, the rivet that holds the door latch came off in my hand when turning it to secure the door. This rivet was not properly set to be strong enough to take any movement. The ramp which was secured as instructed fell with my pet, which is very small.. With the money you spend on this product your better off finding something of better quality and durability.

The cage is great but the wheels are useless. The plastic casters are useless. One was cracked from the moment I opened the box. I like the top access. And the closures on the top door and front door. The all plastic casters break around the screw. If you can use without wheels this is a nice ferret cage.

I like that the top can open and has a lock. However, it doesn’t exactly line up perfect so it takes a little ump to get it closed. The locks are stiff which is nice. Do I think it’s chew proof? Yes, but some of the bars seem weak and I’m not fully convinced an animal couldn’t push through and possibly break one. The total build time with 2 adults was about 30 minutes. The worst part of the entire build was that the allen wrench that it comes with was too big. Luckily we had a 5/32 available of our own and that made the process so much easier and less of a headache. The wheels are easy to finger tighten and then use the mini wrench for the final tighten. I would not recommend try to use it the whole time. The shelves seem extremely sturdy and don’t wobble but the ramps have a tiny bounce to them. Overall, it will make a nice home for my daughter’s future chinchilla.

I would not recommend this cage. The bars break and bend easily and then your pet will escape or they could get hurt. I didn’t know one of the bars broke and was sticking out so I moved it to clean it and that bar punctured my thigh. Yes it was as bad as it sounds. I ended up buying a better cage that was 100.00 more but 100 times better.

I’m not too thrilled about this cage. It’s dirty and poorly constructed. Every time I touched it while assembling it my hands turned black. As I pulled it out of the box the pieces were already warped and the side bars to the back were bent and I hated and still hate the shelves being metal. The metal on metal sound is agony as well as the fact that there is no give so it is extremely difficult to get these shelves in that I honestly have given up and I’m waiting for my partner to get home to finish. Also the wheel broke off already during assembling and so I had to take all the wheels off. This was absolutely not worth it to me but a necessity to prepare to bring home my new ferret and keep him isolated from the rest.

This is a good cage but beware of the wheels that are made of plastic. I don’t think they are strong enough for the cage if you move it from room to room. I was moving the cage and one of the wheels broke were it keeps coming off if i move the cage and i noticed another wheel is ready to do the same thing. Other wise this is a good cage.

Our little guy passed away from old age the same day we brought the cage home, so he never got to explore and play in his new digs. Our cat, Wesker, however, has been sleeping in it every night for weeks. He loves it! The cage is very well made and easy to build. The top opens up fully, as does the front swing door, so cleaning is gonna be a breeze. Not only would I recommend it for Chinchillas, but it would make an excellent cage for any rodent, like a ferret or squirrel, it’d also be great for a bird….or as a napping spot for cats

I just put this together for my rabbit and she likes it. I removed the lower ramp so that she could have more room. I will also purchase side liners to help not push out the bedding and to eliminate urine splatter. However, the black pull out was broken in several pieces. I bought this cage about two months ago and today two wheels fell off when I was rolling it through the living room. They weren’t stable when I put them back in place. I read at least one more review on a cage that had been purchased a month prior that also had wheel issues. These cages are too new and cost too much of our hard earned money for no solution to be offered. For example wether you sell wheels or not isn’t the issue, you should offer to send us wheels to replace the ones that are bad! Better yet the cages should be recalled and fixed before being put back on the market. This is the safety of our pets! You sell a product we believe to be safe when we purchase it.

I bought this for my guinea pigs and thought it was roomy and perfect for them but I was wrong. There is no guard and my floor is always messy with urine, bowel movements and bedding. The ramps would not stay in and always falling down so I got tired of having to attach it again. The shelf with hooks were hard to install and when we finally got it set, it was poking out and my nephews would run too close and get cuts on their back hand or arms. Definitely wasted my money for something that is not worth $199 and made a big mistake buying this and will find another cage with guards and roomy for 2 of my guinea pigs. I would not recommend this and this should be banned from the shelves at all stores and internet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The package arrived pretty banged up with tape on the box and holes in the cardboard box. I blame this more on the shipper than the seller though. The cage itself was very easy to put together I did it in about 20 minutes The material for the most part seems very sturdy and the coating on the metal makes me think it’s going to last for a long time there are parts of the top of the cage that don’t feel like they fit quite right although it does easily close and lock there’s no concern that any animal would be able to get out. It looks like it will be easy to clean and the locking casters on the bottom makes it very easy to move around. There are two doors for access one on the top and one on the front and both of them look to be very hard for an animal to open if not impossible. I would certainly recommend this product for a ferret or chinchilla owner. There is a pull out plastic tray that sits underneath a pull out metal grating along the bottom both look very easy to take out and put back in, and both look very easy to clean.

We use cages like this for kitten isolation when one of our fur brats become ill.great budget cage for someone who’s not scared to bend metals back into place.

I bought this cage because my daughter needed a Guinea pig cage. It ended up being 20% off so I decided to purchase. This is a good cage, but kinda difficult to put together. It took me about an hour my myself. In all, it does was is suppose to do and seems pretty sturdy.

I bought this for our new chinchilla. The wheels started breaking off after the second day (the plastic black piece that the wheel screws into comes out of the bottom) and the wire is super flimsy and bends easily. It is also not great for chinchilla’s as their feet can get stuck in the bottom grate.

I purchased this for my chinchilla when I got him. Several of the bars broke and all four wheels and legs broke. The door in the front is extremely small and makes cleaning or trying to get to your pet very difficult. The worst part is the top opening is very unsafe and my chinchilla got his tail caught and ended up breaking his tail. Several months of veterinary care and a lot of money to get my poor baby stabilized. 🙁 It was the worst decision to purchase this cage. I ended up getting a critter nation and it’s way better.

The first thing we noticed was that the bottom tray was cracked/busted. It was fixed and usable after carefully piecing it back together with heavy duty duct tape. Next, the one of the ramps would not place properly, the pegs we not at the right angle for the holes. The wire cage at the bottom is a hazard for pets feet getting caught. Lastly, the plastic pieces that the wheels screw into on the bottom popped out, and now the wheels constantly collapse and have had to be removed.

I like the wheels to move it when vacuuming underneath. The metal ramps are perfect and stay put. The accessibility through the top or the front door makes it easy to clean and easy to take my bunny out for cuddles. Our rabbit loves having this roomy new home. This is a great choice for rabbits, chinchillas, ferrets and other small pets. I am very impressed with the high quality and craftsmanship. I highly recommend this pet habitat.

Bought this cage a few days ago for my rats. It’s a great size for them to run around in and I like how the bottom is removable. Additionally the platforms/ ramps are solid so I don’t have to worry about covering them. Downsides are that the litter tray came cracked and several peices of the cage were bent. 3 of the screws are not fully attached because of this, however it isn’t loose enough for them to escape. I will say that I almost had to ask for help pushing the side down so I could place the screws in. Other than that it’s okay, nothing exciting. I wish it had more horizontal bars to hang things on rather than vertical

I was moving the cage and one of the wheels kept coming off, but the cage itself is a good cage a great “larger beginner cage” for your small animal. It took about an hour to put together alone. I would recommend this cage to someone.

Bars are very flimsy. Out of the box two bars were broken. Cage top that opens is very crooked and has to be slammed closed. Welding on closers is very bumpy and hard to close. Shelf broke within a week. Returned product to store after less than two weeks of use.

It was pretty easy to put together I would say the only thing was the bottom leg came a little bent so the storage rack was a little hard to put on but was still able to do it. Took about an hour to put it all together. It’s super sturdy, very good quality. I love that it has storage on the bottom!! You can also customize the ramps and the ledges where you want. We’ve had this about a year and a half and our degas love it. It is high enough off the floor that the dog can;’t bother them, they have plenty of room for their 20″ wheel, and lots of room to nest and explore. The versatility of the ramps and levels allows us to enrich their environment. Only downside? Our one little guy has discovered the wires make a loud noise and I’ve had to get pretty creative to keep him quiet!

I personally don’t mind the cage too much, but there’s definitely a few detractors that come with it. For starters, don’t bother using the wheels if you can help it. When I first tried to move my cage, the plastic portion of the wheels became warped and the wheels all fell off. I first assumed that it was due to my carpeted floors, along with the weight of the items I stored beneath the actual cage part, allowing the wheels to go into the carpet and get caught causing them to come off, but according to the other reviews, this seems to be a common issue. It’s ironically easier for me to move it now that the wheels have been removed. Also, putting the cage together was very frustrating at times. The instructions have you put the sides of the cage together first and then have you slide the shelves in from the top, but the shelves almost always get stuck halfway. It’s very difficult to get them in just right without bending the bars, either on purpose or by accident. Other than those, it does great for housing my pets. Just keep in mind that when you purchase it, it could be an uphill battle trying to put it together.
