This is perfect to house my daughters hamster while she cleans the cage. The top lid makes accessibility wonderful and the little hamster can’t jump out. Well ventilated too. This would be great for many small animals to transport or just house while cage cleaning.

The carrier is very light weight and made of a durable plastic with a clear lid so you can easily see inside to see how your pet is doing and their temperament while traveling in it. I have an older Dwarf guinea that can be bitey so the top entry is a blessing. I love that it is multi use size because I can also fit my cockatiels or my monitor in for a vet run if necessary and it pops apart very easily for easy clean up and storage between uses.

I had to go pick up my newest rats a couple weeks ago and despite already having a pair, I’ve gotten by without a carrier until now. I picked this one up real quick after looking at a number of styles from petsupplycanada and Chewy. While this is the only one I’ve tried, I’m very happy with it. It’s very light but secure for small animals. There is plenty of room. I could (if a bit snugly) fit all four male rats if needed. The handles click into place so they don’t annoying flop over when you’re trying to pick up and put it down. Unless something severe happened to it, like exteme heat, I imagine it’ll last quite a long time.

The top swings upward making it super easy for her to be loaded into the carrier. The tiny carrier is just the right size for smaller animals, making trips to the vet easy. I have a rabbit and I thought lowering him into a carrier would be easier. It was fine, but he seemed terrified when I closed the top! I even put oatmeal in there and he was so focused on getting out, that he didn’t even notice. The good: It has air holes for ventilation and it breaks down for easy storage. The bad: Plastic seems kind of flimsy and I’m concerned about long term use. Hopefully my rabbit will grow to like it.

Love the top panel for easy access! My piggie is fairly big, and I think this is roomy enough for him. May be big enough for two smaller piggies.

I purchased this to take a small kitten to a vet appointment. The vet tech brought her back saying she had to hold it from the bottom because the bottom and top kept separating. It just “clips” together. No screws. Maybe good only for a very light gerbil but anything else it a no.

I bought this just before the Thanksgiving holiday to transport my Syrian hamster. This was his first time being in something smaller than his usual home outside of the small pet box I brought him home in from the store. It took a minute for him to settle in but he sleep in various positions throughout the carrier. I’ll be using it to move him around in from time to time. I was able to fit a hideaway for him and a small water bottle and food dish that I picked up the same day.

I have 2 of these that I use for my Sun Conure and Meyers Parrot. Good bird carriers are hard to find, especially ones that require top loading. I used 6 heavy duty zip ties to reinforce the connection for the front & back, and the sides so that the top & bottom are secure. I would not trust this alone without the ties because the bottom could fall out.

The handles are attached to the lid not the bottom meaning that if you pick up the cage with your small pet in it you risk the bottom and the pet falling to the ground while the lid is still in your hand. Do not recommend. I had a guinea pig in it and the bottom fell, the piggy ended up on an slush covered parking lot as it was snowing. My kids were absolutely horrified that their little pet was hurt because of the poor design of the cage. Thankfully the guinea pig was fine just in a bit of shock. But this cage needs to be redesigned with the handles in a more sturdy spot and the clamps that attach the top and bottom need to be fortified.
