I remember when Hairball Control first came on the market, and having 4 cats meant finding a hairball on the rug or floor at least twice per week. After only four weeks on this revolutionary diet, those episodes virtually disappeared. I only found one! With all longhair cats, hairballs are unavoidable, but I am pleased with the results. My cats have been on it since its inception in the 90s, and every cat I’ve brought home since. I only feed and recommend Science Diet and have for over 20 years. My pets are healthy, their coats are gorgeous, and did I mention I’m hardly cleaning up hairballs anymore?

I have 2 cats. 1 skinny short hair and 1 overweight long hair. Keeps them both health & controls the hair balls
Anonymous (verified owner) –
Our cat is a long hair cat so has always dealt with the hairballs. We tried other dry cat foods and have found Science Diet is best for our cat. As she has gotten older we have had to find a food that would deal with the hairballs best. Science Diet is the best all around
momofxena (verified owner) –
My Xena is 13 years old and grew up eating and still eats SD Hairball control light. The other cat Zeus was overweight and both had hairballs vet suggested this and it became the food of choice for over 12 years. I would like it more if it was more natural, less preservatives. But it is the one Xena prefers, she likes the crunch too. Definitely recommend to all cat lovers!!!
Anonymous (verified owner) –
My cat used to have hairballs 2-3 times weekly. Once I switched to Science Diet Hairball control light, she stopped having them. My other cat was on the same food and had gained weight, so the switch to the light diet helped him get back into the perfect body condition.

I have a long hair and a short hair cat – but the long hair cleans the both of them! Since she tends toward hairballs, and my short hair is chubby, this product is an excellent choice. It really does help prevent hairballs, they like the taste, but don’t over indulge. So chunky can maintain her coat and her waistline and fluffy will have less episodes of hairballs!
Anonymous (verified owner) –
Excellent pet food and my cats love it. My only negative is the price. Other than that, this is a great product that I will continue to use for my 5 indoor cats.
Anonymous (verified owner) –
When we first bought this food, our cars did not like it. Now that they’ve gotten used to it, their coats are much smoother and no more hair balls. We love this food at our house!

I have had pets all my life and they they have never done better, looked better, and even felt better since being on the Science Diet food. I had gotten 2 cats from a friend that she couldn’t keep anymore, Cosmo a 4 year old neutered male that tipped the scale close to 20 pounds. His litter mate Athena tipped the scales at 16 pounds. Since getting them I switched them to the Science Diet hairball light formula and watched as the pounds fall of of both of them. Today Cosmo is at a healthy 10 pounds and Athena 8 pounds. They are like kittens again. I never would have thought they would have the energy to run, jump, and play like they do now. They are now 11 years old and going strong. Thank you Hills for putting you knowledge and love into the food that you make so I can have my pets healthy and happy for many years and many more to come.

My cat has a very sensitive belly. Everything I had tried, both wet and dry would irritate him and he constantly had hairballs. I was nervous to feed him because it would break heart to see him so sad when it’d start to come back up. My vet said to try this and I wish we had tried it sooner. He loves it! We’ve been on it for about 3 months now and I’m happy to say there has not been a single hairball or upset belly. Thank you Science Diet, we have a very happy kitty again!!

I have 7 cats – they have been eating Science Diet Hairball Control Light for the last 6 years. It really does help with hairballs and with the bigger bites, it also helps their teeth!
Anonymous (verified owner) –
Hairball light is an awesome food that works fantastic for all my cats. As long as they are eating this food they never have hairballs!! And it’s great that it comes in a light formula so that my “kids” aren’t getting any extra calories, but still tastes great at the same time! We also use the oral care diet which I would also highly recommend. Prices can be a little expensive, but it’s worth it, the quality and efficacy can’t be beat!
Anonymous (verified owner) –
I started this along with more routine brushings… so far so good! Not sure about the “light” part. We won’t get weighed in for awhile.
Anonymous (verified owner) –
A little over a year ago, I switched my girl kitty, who had gotten a bit pudgy and had hairball issues, to this formula, and she loves it. I can still serve her the same quantity of food to satisfy her appetite, and she has finally lost the extra baggage! Rarely ever has hairball issues anymore either, even though she still occasionally grooms her longer haired brother. She’s happy, I’m happy!
Anonymous (verified owner) –
My cats like the taste and this product has greatly reduced the number of hairball presents they give me. Their coats look great and the light formula is helping my plump kitty lose a few ounces. Thanks for creating this formula!
pattyb54 (verified owner) –
Other reviewers lamented about the change in the size (larger) of the kibbles, but this was my first purchase of Hill’s, so I had nothing to compare it to. You guys were right. TOO LARGE for my cat to handle.
Deborah (verified owner) –
I’ve always fed my 2 cats Science Diet, but when they got a little chubby, the vet recommended switching to the light formula and they switched without problems. They’ve even lost a little weight! One is long-haired, so the hairball formula is excellent for him.

I was feeding my cats the regular Adult Hairball Control and thought I might switch to this, but they do not seem to like it as much.

I have been buying this for years and my cats love it
Anonymous (verified owner) –
I bought this variety due to having a cat that just can’t keep her weight down and is fussy. She seems to be getting slimmer and loves the food too. I will continue to buy this variety but I have to go quite a distance to get it as the local feed and pet stores do not carry it yet. I can order it, however. Wish I could get it in a bigger bag as well.

I have six cats all with different needs. My biggest concern was that one of my cats was really over weight. when we found her you could see every one of her little bones. when i got her home she ate so much every day in fear that she would never eat again! doing so she gained a lot of weight. When i put my cats on this formula within 2 weeks she has lost a good bit of weight and i havent had a problem with the hairballs from my other cats. The other great thing i noticed is that i am buying less food. Something in the formula is actually filling them up more then the old brand. I am happy and so are my kitty’s

I have one overweight cat and one who had a lot of hairballs, so I was excited to see there was a product to cover both of their needs. I’ve been feeding them the Hairball Control Light for a little over a week now and I’ve noticed that my fat cat is more active. My other cat hasn’t had a hairball since I switched, and he use to vomit every other day or so. I’m excited to weigh them over the next few weeks and see them become healthier.
Ginger R (verified owner) –
My cats seem to really like this product. They are indoor middle aged cats, so the “light” feature is important, but what impresses me is that their hairball problem has pretty much gone away also. I like being able to get a larger size bag as well.

Our rescue cat, Lola, loves this food. She suffers from hairballs, and we wanted a food that would help her eliminate these. Well, this did it for us! She loves the flavor and it makes her coat very shiny and soft. Thanks, Hills, for helping our Lola!

I was surprised to get a bag of Adult Hairball Control cat food via UPS 3 days ago! I figured I won it somehow but, I’m glad I did because my cats love it! Our oldest, Tigger is 15 years old and has a lot of hairball/constipation issues. So far, she’s doing a lot better with her issues and if it continues to help we’ll absolutely continue with this brand no matter how much it costs!! Also, I hope it helps my big boy Thumperton shed a pound or two!

Our cat used to devour the old formula of Adult Hairball Control Light. We measured what we put out. The pieces were bigger and “softer”–maybe moister? She would refuse it when it got to be little fragmented pieces that were dried out, which we’d dump. Well, she seems to think the new formula in the new taller gold-trimmed bag, which is smaller pieces that feel much drier, is the little crumbs left from her old food. She leads me to the freshly-full dish, does her figure-8 and tail-shake–even though it’s full and is fresh-from-the-bag. she’ll occasionally eat when she gets desperate enough. Like the other recent reviewer, I’d almost think she was sick, except her behavior is fine otherwise. She can afford to lose some weight, but I’m not sure how to proceed with this. Do I have to switch brands?

I have one long-haired and one short-haired cat. Both are relatively finicky about their food. They are picky about the shapes of their food and I was delighted to find the unusual shape in this product. I feel very secure with Hill’s Science Diet products and was pleased to find this with Hairball Control – a problem with both of the cats. I would certainly recommend it to anyone – I find they will eat it in preference to other dry or even wet food.

I have beening feeding the Hairball Light product for several years. With an average of 4 cats in my household this food has helped reduce hairball vomiting by about 90%. The cats all love the taste and I have alot less mess to clean up! It has also been helpful in keeping them at an ideal weight. Before using this food I had to try giving all the cats a “gel” hairball elimination product – not fun. my cats all have beautiful coats and even on a “light” product there is very little litterbox waste to clean.

I find that science diet cat food with hairball control has helped my cats digest their hairballs. Their fur is smooth and silky. Used science diet with my first cats and they lived to be 18 years old. Have had rescue cats for the past 5 years and just recently switched back to science diet for them. Great improvement in the condition of their fur.

Not only did this product reduce the hairball problem, it also helped my pet lose weight! His coat is shiner, he is must more energetic. One happy customer & cat

My 2 cats literally tore into the bag. I have not hear that awful hacking cough which signals hairball issues. Love the fact th. at chicken is the number 1 ingredient. This is something I will definitely buy.

They love food and has been a great weight reducer.

Yes. I have 3 cats. The 2 older cats LOVE it and it really helps keep the hairballs at bay. The younger cat is more of a hipster-doofus, tree-hugging outcast. I think she really does love it, but I also think she is on pot, so I cant really tell for sure.

Science Diet changed the packaging and the formula. My cat always ate the old formula like it was going out of style. When I bought the new bag he stopped eating and at first I thought he was sick, since he never turns down a meal. After a few days of not eating I tried the Light only version which he devoured.

My 4 year old cat had always been a little oversight and constantly had hairballs a couple times a week! My vet then switched her to Science diet hairball control light formula. It was a little note expensive than my store brand food but after only 4 months of being on it, she lost the little bit of weight she needed and I have yet to see her throw up a hairball! I have never been more pleased and my cat loves it as well! Success!!

I’ve only been giving my cat this food for 3 weeks but she seems to like it but not sure if it’s helping with her hairball a and throwing up yet. Time will tell. Wish it want so expensive.
Anonymous (verified owner) –
We started using this because both of our cats had occasional hairballs, despite us brushing regularly. Also the vet suggested that both cats needed to lose a bit of weight. Our one cat is now well within the weight limit he should be, and the other is well on her way. They really love the taste, and I love that the fiber amount is the highest I have found in any brand or formulation. They are healthier, and thus happier than ever!

My cat, appropriately named Kitty, was adopted from a petsupplycanada store and has always eaten Science Diet. Over the years I have switched from kitten, to adult to adult hairball control and finally to adult light hairball control and it has all worked great. I have tried several other kinds just to see how she liked it and I noticed that the other brands didnt stay with her as long (more hungry so used more food) and she used the bathroom more. Science Diet is a little pricey for my usual tastes but it is actually worth it in the long run. I was also really relived when a few years ago it was found that many pet foods contained dangerous ingredients that was killing pets around the country and Science Diet was NOT one of them.

This is a hairball food that actually helps with hairballs, after trying every type of food on the market I figured I would spend a bit more cash and it has paid off! I no longer have puddles of hairballs all over my basement or have to run to find either of my two cats as I used to when I would hear that well known sound and end up with a mess to clean up. Bit higher price than your standard food but well worth the money!

I recommended to a friend who has two cats who are very fussy about what they eat. If the food does not agree with them they have lots of physical issues which their mommie does not like cleaning up. Also their fur is so soft and fluffy from this food.

My cats are healthy and active. They maintain a healthy weight. I feel confident that they have the best chance for longevity and sustained good health with this food. The food is readily obtainable at a neighborhood pet store that is affiliated with a veterinarian’s office. My thirteen-year-old cat had a major illness that he has recovered from remarkably. My eleven-year-old cat had a very poor start in life as he was thrown away as a kitten by his previous owner. He blossomed into a beautiful, silken-haired “Mr. Mischief” and you would never suspect what condition he was in when I rescued him.

I’ve tried other brands and find that my two cats really like Science Diet best. I’ve tried mixing in other cat food and they both pick out the Science Diet first. I think they like the shape as well as the taste. It helps control their weight and the hairballs. I’ve tried the new Science Diet Balance and they will eat it, but always eat the little pyramids first. My Vet recommends Science Diet.

I have been using this food for a couple of years and the amount of hairballs have decreased dramatically. We used to wake up at least once a week to the sound of Monster vomiting a hairball. It is nice to have the lighter option so I can use a few extra as treats and not feel guilty. Monster enjoys that part also, he enjoys the food and always asks for more.

I have been a devout Science Diet Cat Food advocate since 1981. I have been blessed to be “Mom Cat” to 6 wonderful furry lives since this date. ALL of my kitty blessings have come to me through adoption, and all have changed radically due to the nutritional excellence of Science Diet. All have developed brighter eyes, silkier coats, fresher breath and most importantly, none have had need of the Vet other than bi-yearly exams. Any new potential Mom or Dad Cat I meet I share the benefits you receive from feeding your cat a quality food like Science Diet. It is a return on investment in the form of a healthy, lovely and loving cat. Period.

I have both long- and short-haired cats. They all tend towards hairballs. They absolutely love the taste, even the light variety. Although I wish the kibble were a little bit smaller, they love to crunch on it. I would definitely recommend this food for hairball problems.

My cat Smudge is very picky about his food. He absolutely loves this. I mistakenly bought a different kind of cat food (still Science Diet, just not hairball control light adult) and he refused to eat it. He had some health issues and had to be changed off of this and he refused to eat it, he chose to not eat for several days rather than to eat something else. This is all that I feed him as he loves it so much.

We have been using SD Adult Hairball Control Light for several years and have found none better. Our cats love the taste and it helps control the problems of them grooming themselves. It’s also great that it helps control their calorie intake, since they are all adults.

Our vet recommened the Science Diet Hairball Lite for our cats since they are overweight. Both cats loved it!. Too much… It was the strangest thing. They loved it but would be begging for more in 2 hours. They used to not beg at all. They couldn’t get enough. They resorted to just sitting by the bowl waiting to be fed again and would wake us up in the middle of the night, hungary for more. While it had less calories than other Science Diet foods, I think it also stimulated their appetite. We switch back to mixing the food – Hairball & Lite with a touch of Dental.

When I bought the new bag he stopped eating and at first I thought he was sick, since he never turns down a meal. After a few days of not eating I tried the Light only version which he devoured.

Four of my cats have been on this cat food for a long time and the number of hairballs has decreased a lot, plus there has been some weight loss in the overweight cats. They seem to love it.

I tried the free sample of Hair Ball Control a few weeks ago. Now it’s the only dry food our cat will eat. She absolutely loves it. Guess I’ll be buying this from now on. Thank you!

Since having my girl on this product I have definetly noticed a decrease in hairballs, now she only has maybe one a month.

My cat used to have hairballs 2-3 times weekly. Once I switched to Science Diet Hairball control light, she stopped having them. My other cat was on the same food and had gained weight, so the switch to the light diet helped him get back into the perfect body condition.

My cat seems to eat this willingly and since she has long hair and grooms herself a lot it is a wise choice to avoid hairball problems.

My 2 cats literally tore into the bag. I have not hear that awful hacking cough which signals hairball issues. Love the fact th. at chicken is the number 1 ingredient. This is something I will definitely buy.

After years and years of buying cat food, we switched to Science Diet a year ago. Not only did our Vet recommend it, but we wanted the best nutrients for our little friends. Science Diet is one they, and we, prefer.
Anonymous (verified owner) –
This is typically what I get and I really like it. It reduces the amount of hairballs they have and it helps maintain their weight. I don’t buy any other brand because I want quality food for my cats. Once we get a dog, we will be getting Hill’s for them too!

I have 2 kitties out of 4 that get hairballs. I mix in science diet light hairball control dry food in with their regular science diet dry food and they love the taste and I have no more hairballs to clean up!
Anonymous (verified owner) –
My cats suffer from hairballs pretty bad. I usually feed the SD adult hairball but my store was out so we got the light. Oohhh my cats HATE it. They refused to eat it for almost two days, I ended up mixing it with my kitten food. I wont buy the light again.

Mr. Six Toes, Chubby, and Bear don’t agree on many things, but they do all love SD Hairball Control LIght. Bear has a bit of a portion control challenge, so the light formula is the way to go for these three amigos. We also feed SD wet Hairball Control and it is the perfect complement to the dry. This gives Mr. Six Toes the extra fluid he needs and gives all three a time to eat together. Thanks, Science Diet, for helping us keep our pets healthy and happy.

Period.

My two pound kitties love this food and the dry food works because it’s a mild odor and the food doesn’t dry out if left uneaten for a while. I also think the price is very reasonable.

My little guy was throwing up hairballs at least 3-4 times a week along with undigested food. Then I discovered this product. It not only reduced the hairball problem almost completely, but the fish oil has made his black coat shine like patent leather. And since he is an indoor kitty, the “light” feature helps control his weight. I just wish I’d started him on it years ago!

I was using Iams Adult before trying Hills. My cats became lethargic and were throwing up far too often. My vet recommended I change their diet and after some research, I decided on Hills. It’s been A DAY and my cats are already full of energy like I’ve never seen before. I haven’t been using it long enough to know how it does with hairball control, but I’m sure it’ll work great. I’m already seeing a huge difference in my cats behavior after one day and I haven’t even fully transitioned yet.

I started my long hair kitten on hairball food early because I didn’t want him to have issues. Somehow I always tend to make overweight cats, so when my kitten decided to be a monster cat, I switched him to light food. I was so excited to see that there was still an option for larger cats; he is maintaining a good weight to this day and he is 4 years old! I love science diet!

THIS IS THE ONLY CAT FOOD MY CAT CAN EAT, HE IS DOING GREAT ON IT. HE HAS BEEN ON IT SINCE HE WAS A KITTEN AS HIS TRACT PLUGGED UP AND HE WAS IN THE CLINIC FOR A WEEK. HE ALSO EATS THE CAN WET ONCE A DAY. GREAT FOOD. IF NOT FOR THIS I WOULD HAVE HAD TO PUT HIM DOWN, AND AS I HAD JUST HAD AN OLDER CAT DONE, THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN TOUGH. THANKS TO SCIENCE DIET FOR SAVING MY CATS LIFE AND HE IS A BEAUTIFUL CAT TODAY. GOD BLESS

My poor long haired cat was throwing up hairballs at least once a week. Cleaning up after him was not fun either! So I went and bought this formula and WOW!

My biggest concern was that one of my cats was really over weight. when we found her you could see every one of her little bones. when i got her home she ate so much every day in fear that she would never eat again! doing so she gained a lot of weight. When i put my cats on this formula within 2 weeks she has lost a good bit of weight and i havent had a problem with the hairballs from my other cats. The other great thing i noticed is that i am buying less food. Something in the formula is actually filling them up more then the old brand. I am happy and so are my kitty’s

The reason this food works so well to get rid of hairballs is the ridiculous amount of fiber in it (10% is the highest of all dry cat foods I’ve seen). The ingredients are not as good as the natural foods and I’d prefer not to feed my cats this. However, one of my cats has been having chronic diarrhea problems with an unknown cause, and this really firms up his stool. The grains are visible in his stool. Both of the other cats like it even though they aren’t supposed to eat it. The one that does is always very hungry even though he eats about 2/3 of a cup per day. I’m not sure how he stays so large eating “light” food. I will only feed this as long as his stool needs to be firmed up.

Despite their different needs, both of my Siamese siblings do very well on Hill’s Science Diet Hairball Control Light. The female is long-haired and prone to hairballs; this easily digested formula virtually eliminates those dreadful vomiting sessions that always take place on the new carpet. Her brother is teetering on being overweight and the reduced calorie feature helps keep his “abs” from turning into “flabs.” As with all Science Diet formulas, the premium nutrition shows in their beautiful shiny coats. Thumbs up for Hairball Control Light!

We have two Tabbyco (Tabby/Calico) cats. I use the adult light hairball control dry food for them They both love it and come into my bedroom in the morning meowing if their dish is empty. We don’t have a problem with hairballs, although we have had in the past with other cats using other food. I have seen that our cats, particularly Ginger, our larger cat, has lost some weight since I started using this food. She was never fat, but I didn’t want her gaining additional weight. At the last checkup, our vet seemed very pleased with their weight and their overall health.

My cats seem to really like this product. They are indoor middle aged cats, so the “light” feature is important, but what impresses me is that their hairball problem has pretty much gone away also. I like being able to get a larger size bag as well.

Our cats actually chose HBC lite over HBC regular. Our vet feels that it will give them good lifetime eating habits. It has gotten more and more expensive everytime. That gets pricey when you are feeding 5 active cats.

Other reviewers lamented about the change in the size (larger) of the kibbles, but this was my first purchase of Hill’s, so I had nothing to compare it to. You guys were right. TOO LARGE for my cat to handle.

We have been using SD Adult Hairball Control Light for several years and have found none better. Our cats love the taste and it helps control the problems of them grooming themselves. It’s also great that it helps control their calorie intake, since they are all adults.

My 2 cats really prefer wet food, but they get the Science Diet Hairball Light because they are indoor cats and need a light diet to keep their weight in check. Their coats are nice and shiny, and they have never been sick. They have been eating Science Diet for their entire 6 years of life. My previous cat was a Science Diet cat and she lived to be 19 years old!

Four of my cats have been on this cat food for a long time and the number of hairballs has decreased a lot, plus there has been some weight loss in the overweight cats. They seem to love it.

I’ve always fed my 2 cats Science Diet, but when they got a little chubby, the vet recommended switching to the light formula and they switched without problems. They’ve even lost a little weight! One is long-haired, so the hairball formula is excellent for him.

THANKS TO SCIENCE DIET FOR SAVING MY CATS LIFE AND HE IS A BEAUTIFUL CAT TODAY. GOD BLESS

I recommended to a friend who has two cats who are very fussy about what they eat. If the food does not agree with them they have lots of physical issues which their mommie does not like cleaning up. Also their fur is so soft and fluffy from this food.

Success!!

ALL of my kitty blessings have come to me through adoption, and all have changed radically due to the nutritional excellence of Science Diet. All have developed brighter eyes, silkier coats, fresher breath and most importantly, none have had need of the Vet other than bi-yearly exams. Any new potential Mom or Dad Cat I meet I share the benefits you receive from feeding your cat a quality food like Science Diet. It is a return on investment in the form of a healthy, lovely and loving cat. Period.

We have two cat’s Myrtle and Stormy.. Myrtle had major issues with hairballs until we began feeding her SD Hairball control Light.. She is on the heavy side 🙂 Both cats love the food and we couldn’t be happier not to have messes from hairball attacks! Thank you Science Diet!!!

this is a great dry cat food. my cats love it! i see less hair balls and they are staying in their target weight range. my cats are very healthy for their age and attribute most of that to the food they get.

After years and years of buying cat food, we switched to Science Diet a year ago. Not only did our Vet recommend it, but we wanted the best nutrients for our little friends. Science Diet is one they, and we, prefer.

My cat used to have terrible hairballs, but after about a week on this food, they had all but stopped.

This is such a great food for cats. They practically tear open the bag to have some. It’s great for their stomachs. I highly recommend you go get some of this today.

I combined some of the old Hills dry cat food products with the new to get my cats used to the change. They still love their old Hills, but will not eat the new. I’m hoping they will adjust with time. Has anyone else had this experience?

My two pound kitties love this food and the dry food works because it’s a mild odor and the food doesn’t dry out if left uneaten for a while. I also think the price is very reasonable.
Anonymous (verified owner) –
I’ve tried other brands and find that my two cats really like Science Diet best. I’ve tried mixing in other cat food and they both pick out the Science Diet first. I think they like the shape as well as the taste. It helps control their weight and the hairballs. I’ve tried the new Science Diet Balance and they will eat it, but always eat the little pyramids first. My Vet recommends Science Diet.

I have been feeding to my 3 cats for 3 years, and it works great for controling hairballs, but it doesn’t do much for their diet. I feed the recommended amount on the side of the bag to loose weight but all 3 cats are still around 13 pounds each. Overall it is great that it is a diet food with a hairball control that all 3 cats will eat, just wish I could help them loose some weight.

The hair ball dry product is a really good one, and after my cat eats it she has more energy. Being an older cat she needs the proper food to keep here healthy.

Have used this product for years – all of a sudden, neither my indoor babies nor the outside feral cats will eat this food. Have purchased several different bags (different lot numbers/expirations/different size bags) at different stores – NOPE! I’m done.

Not only did this product reduce the hairball problem, it also helped my pet lose weight! His coat is shiner, he is must more energetic. One happy customer & cat

Other reviewers lamented about the change in the size (larger) of the kibbles, but this was my first purchase of Hill’s, so I had nothing to compare it to. You guys were right. TOO LARGE for my cat to handle.

My poor long haired cat was throwing up hairballs at least once a week. Cleaning up after him was not fun either! So I went and bought this formula and WOW! He rarely ever throws up a hairball now. what a relief to him and me! And his coat is like silk now! Before it easily matted and looked dry. He hasnt had a hair matt at all! Wonderful product!

The best review for this food is that my cats eat it. And my fat cat is losing weight on it, while both cats have fewer hairballs while eating it. So as far as i am concerned, this is the perfect food!

I have used nothing but science diet since my cats were kittens. Once they hit 1 year the hairball control light was the only food I would feed them and it has worked wonderful for them. I would def recommend people giving this food a shot. Yea it may seem a little pricey but it is so worth especiailly if you dont want your cat getting hairballs!!!!

I love this product. I have a cat with a double coat and when this food is not mixed in with her regular diet I end up with hairballs all over the place… with it… my cat is hairball free as am I from cleaning them up. =0)

I recommended to a friend who has two cats who are very fussy about what they eat. If the food does not agree with them they have lots of physical issues which their mommie does not like cleaning up. Also their fur is so soft and fluffy from this food.

My cats have been on light food diets for a few years now. I noticed several hairballs appearing in the house, and looked to see if Hills made a light hairball control food and they do! They have been on this food for about a year now and there are less hairballs. I have 5 cats and they all rush to their bowl when it’s time to eat!

I have three cats and they all love this food. I combine it with other dry food so they have a variety and won’t get stuck on eating just one food. Cats are very finicky. This is the first dry food gone from the dish everyday. If I bring a bag of food home and set it on the floor, one of my cats has chewed through the bag to get to the food before I can get it put away. Buy it, your cat will love it.

Science Diet changed the packaging and the formula. My cat always ate the old formula like it was going out of style. When I bought the new bag he stopped eating and at first I thought he was sick, since he never turns down a meal. After a few days of not eating I tried the Light only version which he devoured.

I will continue to buy this variety but I have to go quite a distance to get it as the local feed and pet stores do not carry it yet. I can order it, however. Wish I could get it in a bigger bag as well.

I have both long- and short-haired cats. They all tend towards hairballs. They absolutely love the taste, even the light variety. Although I wish the kibble were a little bit smaller, they love to crunch on it. I would definitely recommend this food for hairball problems.

I started my long hair kitten on hairball food early because I didn’t want him to have issues. Somehow I always tend to make overweight cats, so when my kitten decided to be a monster cat, I switched him to light food.

I have 2 cats. 1 skinny short hair and 1 overweight long hair. Keeps them both health & controls the hair balls

My cat absolutely loves this cat food. And it really does help control her hairballs. I have been feeding it to my cat about 6 months and there is a noticeable improvement with less hairballs.

I have been using Hairball Control Light for my adult cats for nearly two years. They both love this food and it has really decreased the amount of hairball issues they have. Great product!

My cats like the taste and this product has greatly reduced the number of hairball presents they give me. Their coats look great and the light formula is helping my plump kitty lose a few ounces. Thanks for creating this formula!

Anna(cat) really likes this food compared to her last light food. She is slightly overweight. Time will tell if she will loose any weight. The kibble is a medium size so maybe she thinks she is getting more food.

My cats love the food! I love it too because they keep it down (no vomiting or hairball issues) and they enjoy the taste. Their weight is great on the food as well. Their coats are great, and the product is always fresh!
