Got this for my kids ball python. The quality of this terrarium for the price is top notch. I would definitely recommend this as a permanent one time purchase for ball pythons and smaller snakes. It’s not easy finding a setup this large at a reasonable price, 46 inches long outside and 44 inside. Other companies charge 2-3 times as much for a unit that takes weeks or months to receive and then you still have to assemble. This is ready to go right out of the package.
Wintersox (verified owner) –
I gave it 4 stars because there are no side holes for the lights and heat to hang on the inside of the enclosure. Also if using sand you must seal the interior with silicone or the sand will slowly seep out. Not really a great enclosure for desert dwelling species but with a few modifications you can make it work. I drilled holes and put cords through the holes to hang fixtures inside where my reptiles get full benefit of the UVB florescent bulb. could also be a bit deeper.
Rickyjulianbubbles (verified owner) –
The tank is nice and much more light than the other one we have unfortunately suction cups do not stick well. We have had to add in glass/plastic walls so our beardie can climb and have some decor on the walls. It’s not full proof but it’s something. If you won’t be hanging anything on the walls this is a tank for you.
Cryatalo1984 (verified owner) –
This tank has a lip on the inside witch makes it almost less then a 40 gallon I can’t even fit a basking rock and a hide on the hot side or cold side. The hole top is not.mesh there is a lip that goes 2 ich or so back so u have to.put the basking spot right in the middle of the tank. This tank would be great for a leopard geckos or small reptile or snake but not a bearded dragon at all.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was the perfect set up for my bearded dragon, Hasta. It was so easy to put together. It was not heavy at all, and my beardie loves it! I’m so thankful I was able to give it a try and get my dragon into a bigger home.
John876 (verified owner) –
I lost my king snake because the glass door leaves a small gap at the top when closed and locked. I would never use this again for any small to medium sized snakes and regret ever purchasing this vivarium.
MumsieCat (verified owner) –
Bought this for my snake and mine is in perfect shape. The lock piece did have to be switched to the other door, but it’s sticks on the outside with 3M type glue so no biggie. Drilled 2 holes for thermostat probes and was good to go. Very study yet lightweight, spacious, and very good visual appeal.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter loves this enclosure for her ball python. It is so much bigger than we expected. I love that it has a door on top to feed through and the front sliding doors makes it so easy to get the snake in and out, clean, give water, and rearrange things around as we need. The color is a very attractive light gray and feels good and sturdy. We are very pleased and my daughter’s snake seems very pleased as well.

I got this item with a couple stacked discounts, and I ended up getting it about half off!!! To get a permanent home for a bearded dragon for this good of a price is just a God send. Thanks petsupplycanada!
SkylerfromtheShire (verified owner) –
Similar problems as the other review. Good design but not executed well. Feels like I got the scratch and dent version for full price. The top is not square in the corner. The locking piece was out in the wrong piece of glass. Currently trying to attach it to the right one. Also the glass does not close all the way and crickets crawl right out of the corner. I was happy to see an ecoflex at a good price but I guess you get what you pay for.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cage is perfect! It is extremely spacious and very comfortable for my snake. The sliding doors in the front make it very easy to feed them. There is plenty of open hole for proper ventilation and over all it is the best cage I’ve ever had!
HerpObsessed (verified owner) –
This enclosure looks absolutely stunning; however, as soon as we got it home and started getting it set up for our Uro…we discovered quite a few flaws. There is nowhere to feed probes through (hygrometers; thermostats; etc) besides the very front of the tank through what is considered the feeding door? The sliding doors, while they slide beautifully, cannot be removed. This is problematic as it makes it difficult to thoroughly clean (getting the styrofoam sheet out of the doors took a good 10 minutes). Also, while the idea of the preinstalled lock is fantastic…it is installed on the FRONT door, so it is useless since the doors cannot be removed. The top is not well designed – it cannot be removed at all, it is poorly constructed (I can see glue, as well as the staples connecting the metal screen to the frame because they are pulling away) and there is a lip so the cords for our UV lamp sit at an odd angle. Overall, probably not worth the price…we will probably end up replacing it for a Zen habitat…but I give it two stars for it being lightweight and it is aesthetically pleasing.
Josue17 (verified owner) –
It was in perfect shape and my bearded dragon is happy in it.
Kwyski (verified owner) –
It could definitely use places to run a cord or two. We had to take a drummer ad adapt the top door to feed his favorite heating pad cord through.
Also the styrofoam glass protecter took up most of our day to remove. I’m grateful for unbroken glass but geez ….use something else…
Other than that
Sahm2020 (verified owner) –
Absolutely love it! Perfect all the way around. I was quite hesitant with some of the reviews but I decided to try it and I love it and so does my snake!
Lisa W (verified owner) –
Beautiful terrarium. Using it for my ball python who’s 2yo and still growing. My only gripe is that the only way to get uvb is to slip the cord through the feeding latch crack. So far hasn’t been any issues.

I purchased this for my daughters Blue Tongue Skink and she loves it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] this tank is so so big! it isn’t so high but it is very long. my bearded dragon loves his new home. the front glass has sliding doors making it easy for cleaning. the top is all screen making it the perfect spot for a heat lamp and provides ventilation.
PJGirl (verified owner) –
Great value!! Love the look but, most importantly…My beardie, Furiosa is happy!!
zerrafett (verified owner) –
The black frame holding the mesh on the top is broken. The glass was advertised to be removeable but there is NO room to lift it up and tilt to remove. Overall quality is not great. Disappointed in this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Getting ready for another journey but I must say that this thing is a lot bigger in person. You will need to make sure that you do your research first because there are a lot of supplies that you’re going to need with this that isnt included. They also have a stand for this for the extra money.
Roland7311 (verified owner) –
I really like the look of this enclosure. It gives plenty of room for my adult ball python. It is much lighter than an equivalent aquarium. They only downside is that there are no access ports in the back or top to run the sensor wiring thru. Nothing a drill couldn’t fix.
Alisse22 (verified owner) –
I bought this a couple of weeks ago and my bearded dragon loves it! Only thing I’d change is to make the sides easier for the suction cups, I had to hang the hammocks off of the wire top.
mid0523 (verified owner) –
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The overall look on this terrarium is attractive and I would give it a solid 5 stars. Although this will be going in my animal room, I would not hesitate to have this setup in a main living area.
Rita60 (verified owner) –
Bought this for a rescued bearded dragon. He is going to be a great addition to our home.
VirginiaVenom (verified owner) –
I bought this today because it was cheaper than buying a vision enclosure for my western Diamond back rattlesnake. and it works really well.. I needed to replace their lock with a real lock but other than that it’s good. The other comments are from people that probably don’t have much experience with these kinds of enclosures but as a venomous reptile keeper I can say these are really good. Drill your own holes for your thermostats just like on vision cages and your good to go !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the item for free as part of a promotion in exchange for my honest review. This is an incredibly lightweight tank. I’m a woman in her 30s and was able to carry the box on my own up 6-7 stairs no problem. It’s quite large, so make sure you have enough space in your car to transport it and at home. I have a three row SUV and needed all of the rows to be down to fit it in. It was a big improvement for my Russian tortoise from her previous enclosure though!
bushviper (verified owner) –
you guys that are saying the lock is on the wrong side you all do know the glass does come out right???
chloew371 (verified owner) –
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good tank as far as quality and design goes I would buy again love the front sliding doors and the outer tank you should definitely get one for sure
jayram1 (verified owner) –
Has a hood quality, although getting the plastic from between the glass doors was difficult. Looks nice in a room, better than a regular tank. Works well for my Beardie!
Travis 101 (verified owner) –
I am so happy I purchased this it’s light weight and easy to move when needed
michelleb1021 (verified owner) –
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the tank since it is big and have alot of space for my leopard gecko Slippy. However it was a hassle to find an area to put this at since it is long and wide. That is my problem though since I should have known that this could be a problem. I like that there is a slide door to make it easier to get him in and out of the tank easier. I do say that this tank works well with larger reptiles since there is so much extra space and my tiny gecko do really need all of that space for him self. I can also say that this could be a really good for a tiny hamster since there is a lot of room.
Scourge of the Crickets (verified owner) –
The weight, size, and front opening of this tank are great! What isn’t great is their lack of thought on the “recommended” addons for beardies, like anything with suction cups that don’t stick on wood without a special mount. Also not a fan of the floor of the tank that has about a half inch of material on all sides. Other than that, my beardie loves it!
Ria223 (verified owner) –
I love that it’s lightweight and very open for my dragon.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Thrive Lightweight Eco-Flex Composite Terrarium is an excellent choice for reptile owners seeking a spacious, durable, and eco-friendly enclosure. Its lightweight yet sturdy design and easy assembly makes it easy to move without sacrificing quality, and the eco-conscious materials are a big plus. With great ventilation, ample space, and a sleek, modern look, it blends well with home decor while providing a healthy environment for pets. I highly recommend this terrarium for both beginners and experienced reptile keepers.

There is an indent underneath where you could put a heat mat, but no place for wires or ventilation, so not sure if it’d be safe. You’d certainly have to drill some holes to make it possible. As other reviewers have said, the lock is on the wrong door and I’m not sure how to change it to the correct one. It’s stuck on tight. It’s also incredibly difficult to unwrap. It wasn’t damaged, so that’s a bonus, but the plastic wrap they use for the glass disintegrates and is really difficult to get off – I have blue sticky goo all over the cage. I’ve even tried rubbing alcohol to get it off and still no luck. The styrofoam between the glass is also super difficult to get out. I like the look of it, if I can make it work and it’s nice that it’s enclosed on most sides and lightweight, but I do need the door to lock. Considering whether to return it.
ShelRick (verified owner) –
I bought this to replace my bearded 75 gallon aquarium ta k she was in its AWESOME see it up in less than five minutes. It’s also much easier for me to get her in and out of and clean it.
Cornsnakes (verified owner) –
I purchased this enclosure a year or so ago for my beautiful lavender corn snake. All was well overall until one morning I awoke to find the glass of one door completely shattered. We have no clue what happened other than maybe my snake somehow hit it hard or it just spontaneously burst. There were no changes in heat, humidity, anything like that recently. Luckily my beautiful snake was not harmed and we found her before she hid and escaped for good but now I’m left with a tank with a broken door I can’t find a replacement for.
LaurenJ (verified owner) –
I bought this terrarium back in August. Overall I’m pleased with it. I got it for a baby bearded dragon and so far it’s been amazing and held up well. Like the other reviews, the locking mechanism was on the wrong side but my husband was able to fix that. That’s the only reason I deducted one star. I deducted another star because the box advertises a matching stand. I’ve waited 3 months and still have yet to see this stand advertised in stores or available online. The box gives a website to visit that apparently doesn’t exist. I even tried looking up for the Thrive website and nothing as well. I suspect it’s because it’s a petsupplycanada brand. It wouldn’t be so frustrating if staff were able to find out information on when it would be available or could even order it. That’s the only reason for two deducted stars. I would buy this again in the future.
Jmel (verified owner) –
Broken right out of the box as you can see in the pics. They put the lock if you can call it a lock on the wrong plate of glass. Looked online how to get the doors out but there’s no way they are coming out.
danib991 (verified owner) –
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This eco-flex terrarium is great for my rescue dragon, providing plenty of room for her. The doors slide easily, although the black piece does make a scratchy noise on the other door when sliding. The door has a knob that slides into it and locks into place, ensuring that they can’t move. The terrarium also has silicone stick-on handles for easy gripping. Additionally, there are air vents on the sides and a screen material on top for the reptiles lights. While my rescue beardie is adjusting to it, as she doesn’t like change, overall it is a very nice and lightweight option that is easy to move and maintain.
Zeiesty (verified owner) –
Looks beautiful and it’s perfect for my new corn snake. Few small chips on glass side door on the ends but other than that it’s percent for my baby.
Benny 26 (verified owner) –
Ok so
The tank is beautiful, but like others have mentioned the lock is installed on the wrong piece of glass. And the glass can’t be removed which would allow you to switch the pieces and set up the lock properly.
I fixed this by removing the black locking strip with force and adhering it to the correct panel (for those of you wondering how to solve this without having to bring the whole thing back). It was a hassle and left adhesive on the glass. Because of this quality control issue, either don’t buy this tank or take a good look at it before buying.
It is beautiful and perfect for my snake. It’s not the easiest clean but I don’t mind.
Melly79 (verified owner) –
I got this for a foster snake. Fist off the glass does not come out, even though it says remove it. It’s almost impossible to get the material from between the glass and tracks because you can’t remove it and you can barely slide the doors. Second you can’t remove the top of enclosure, there’s a TINY panel you can open up there. There also nowhere to run a plug through which doesn’t work well for most species. Will it work, yes! Better options out there though for a small amount of extra money. Very poorly designed for the price tag.
Misfit (verified owner) –
I love these tanks. They have good air flow and solid tank for all kinds of reptiles. I use these for bearded dragons leopard geckos. I have similar tanks like these for my chameleons.

This is a great enclosure. petsupplycanada (and other pet stores)needs to start advertising correctly with the proper UVB lighting and Basking light to be shown in the pictures of the products they are selling.. One dome should be shown on top for a basking/ heat light and a LINEAR ARCADIA T5 pro 10.0 or LINEAR REPTISUN T5 10.0 HO should be shown mounted somewhere in or on the enclosure or even in the picture somewhere with the enclosure. Everyone please listen: THE COIL AND CORKSCREW UVB LIGHTS THAT GO IN THE DOMES ARE COMPLETELY USELESS FOR A BEARDED DRAGON AND MOST OTHER REPTILES. But the basking/heat lights are fine for the domes..this is very important for any reptiles OVERALL HEALTH..these pet stores need to update their care sheets on proper husbandry (overall care)for the reptiles and amphibians they sell..

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose to do this review because my daughter has been looking for a front opening terrarium for her snake. So as I seen the opportunity to do this, she was so excited.. She picked it up from petsupplycanada store pick up without any kind of issues whatsoever. Preassembled, she had to take out the box and set it up. Snack is loving the new habitat.

Got it in store and it’s awesome! I love it! A+++++++
Lizzy42 (verified owner) –
Bought this for my new baby beardie I think it’s a great size and it has a lot of space for him to roam but I will say get a background for it because the reflection of him in the glass really stresses him out
Home for Fluffy (verified owner) –
I bought this over a year ago and it was worth every penny! Yes, there are no ports for cords, but that was fine for us. My 5 ft. Corn snake has plenty of room to be happy. As another person stated, the glass doors DO come out if you just lift them up and take them out of the tracks. I take them out to clean the cage. I bought mine assembled and the lock was in the correct position, but if it’s not, you can change the doors to line up correctly.
ballpython (verified owner) –
Have had this enclosure for 3 years for a ball python and it’s great
Eimus (verified owner) –
I bought this for my juvenile ball python. The bottom is sealed so I am able to pour water in the corners when it’s time to wet the repti-chip. Holds heat pretty well woth thermal tape on the top of the screen. The glass DOES come out if you push it up into the top track and slide it out of the bottom ridge, so if your lock is backwards like some reviews say, it’s fixable. Mine came fine though. I found a cheaper option on Chewy but it doesn’t come sealed so it takes a little more work it you are doing a humid environment
Jwalko4 (verified owner) –
I’ve had this enclosure for almost a week now. It looks nice and my new Beardie seems to like it. However my cat jumped up on top today when I was out for dinner and I came home to the inside plastic on the floor of the cage and a corner of the screen was dangling. I forgot to mention that 3 of the staples holding the screen on just randomly fell day 2. Over all it looks nice but it’s garbage as is. Once my Beardie gets more familiar with me and is less traumatized I’m going to have to reinforce the whole top with more 1/2 inch screws and hot glue. I would 100% get something else and return this enclosure if I didn’t already have to reinforce it. Actually I still might try to return it. Ugh I’m so mad! It looks nice though so it’s got that going for it. Please in the future QC these enclosures! Luckily Beardies are chill. My ball python would be gone in the house somewhere if she were in here.
DEWDEW (verified owner) –
Bought this as a permanent cage for my Bearded dragon. So far I am extremely happy with it. Love the top opening feeder door and the glass sliding doors. Very sturdy and Kaplan seems to love it too.
Ashley06 (verified owner) –
It’s really affordable but as some have said there are some quality problems on it as the side was a little dented. The styrofoam under the glass was impossible to get off and it still isn’t all off which makes it hard to slide door. But the inside is nice and besides a few dents it’s a really nicely built tank.
BigJ65 (verified owner) –
So far I love this enclosure for my new Bearded Dragon, seems spacious for now. Doors seem easy to use, might find a more aesthetically pleasing handles and glue on. Bigger complaint is the crickets can crawl up the sides and escape in the vents. They find this out fairly quickly. I also watched get through the space in the door. Right now im using pinheads so the door problem will resolve itself, but I will have to put screens over the side vents. Overall, I would say the pros slightly out weigh cons. It also looks nice and I like to keep my house looking good, so this to me looks like furniture more than a cage and I appreciate that. I would recommend but I would clarify these issues.
houseofdavid21 (verified owner) –
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an awesome Terrarium!! It is aesthetically beautiful, large enough for a good sized reptile and lightweight at the same time. I love that it looks nice and has sliding glass doors in the front for easy access.

This is an amazing tank with lots of room for our bearded dragon!

Summary: this is the best local option I could find for a secure grow out enclosure for my redfoot tortoise.
Heather WH (verified owner) –
We bought this enclosure for our bearded dragon 2 weeks ago. We purchased it in store so it was already put together. Suction cups do not stick to the sides due to the ecoflex material, so we just used command hooks instead for his hammock. We ran the wire for the thermostat through the feeder door gap and used zip ties to hold the wire to the screen, no trouble at all. We really like it and so does our beardie!
aroidsandarboreals (verified owner) –
So amazing seeing a pet store offer a good, large sized enclosure with quality glass doors. Had no issues removing the doors, came with lock and looks sleek. Currently have two stacked together
amandar744_9426 (verified owner) –
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tank was much bigger than I expected which is a good thing. It will give plenty of space for my snake to grow. I believe this is made out of wood, it is very strong and seems durable. The top is a mesh screen and the front is glass. This tank was very easy to put together, it only took 20 minutes or less. Overall wonderful tank!!
Alyrepitles (verified owner) –
Great Tank. Easy to lift and move. Well made. Glass slides nicely. The only downside I see so far is not holes out the back for cords. I am not sure how to set the temp and humidity probes aside from out the front so the glass doesnt close all the way. I tried finding information if we can drill this material but cant find it any where
Snakegirl (verified owner) –
Great terrarium for my corn snake! Lightweight. Able to use an under tank affixed heating pad along with basking lamp up top of warm side. Perfect size for my girl to grow into. Lots of room to decorate and easy to keep clean. I don’t use the lock b/c my girl doesn’t have thumbs to move the doors but they pop out for easy overall cleaning (but it was fixed and ready to go). bought at the store, no scrapes, scratches or anything broken. Perched atop a high stand (from ikea) and its such an amazing piece for our livingroom.
Justpurekhaos (verified owner) –
I bought this a few weeks ago. Came with a broken screen that I had to fix. Almost nothing is centered properly when it was assembled. Half of the “glued” pieces are loose and I had to re-glue almost every joint. Seams like it was assembled by children. Would not recommend.
Dubz0126 (verified owner) –
Great tank if you want to endanger the life of the animals you put inside of it… had this tank for a little now and today it randomly just shattered into a million pieces endangering the life and safety of my snake inside. Never was a good tank in the first place as the sliding doors were always janky. No my snake inside couldn’t not have been responsible for the glass shattering as it did. I do not recommend this tank to anyone unless you are trying to hurt your animal inside.
Rogue15 (verified owner) –
Like other reviews have mentioned, quality control was lacking. The lock was on the wrong glass door so I had to remove it and find another way to lock it. The vent slots needed to be cleaned up with a razor blade. Also, the logo was put on upside down on the wall which annoys me to look at. Otherwise it’s a beautiful. I do wish the doors could be removed for cleaning and setup.
ma2jdx2 (verified owner) –
I’m shocked at some of the negative reviews. We picked ours up in store so we were able to look it over before purchasing. Ours has been amazing, no issues with the lock on the front glass. While it is harder to clean from the front (since the top cannot be removed) it really doesn’t add that much more time. The only complaint is the leftover goo from the tape that kept the glass in place. I’m sure with some goo gone it’ll come off easily. We love it and so does our Stella girl.
PatPet (verified owner) –
Besides being large and light, it is easy to clean, but most of all – Pickles (My ball python) loves it.
Melly (verified owner) –
This enclosure would be great for an arid species. Way too much ventilation and screen top doesn’t hold humidity at all, which is not providing proper husbandry for a ball python. Do not get this enclosure for a tropical species of reptile or you’ll be using vacation tape on the sides and having to get silicone mats for the screen. The top also doesn’t open and glass doors cannot be removed.
Carpenter Dad (verified owner) –
I bought this because of the eco flex name, and because it is nice to the eyes. After tinkering around with it abit, I would still recommend it. Unfortunately the glass was very difficult to remove to fix the locking mechanism. There is such a space between the two sheets of glass that crickets can escape quickly. Also the track doesn’t reach both ends which creates another escaping point. All fixed with those foam sliders that you put on a bottom of a chair. A removable screen or even a more sturdy screen would put this up to 4 stars. There are a few more things I could add but that’s more of a personal preference.
