I bought this for my lab and he quickly became obsessed with it. He likes to chew on balls while bringing them back to me during games of fetch. Today while he was playing with the ball, he managed to push the plug down into the ball, leaving a hole. His chewing caused his tongue to be sucked into the hole and the ball was stuck on his tongue. It took me about 30 minutes to notice. Once I realized and tried to help him, he started panicking and tried to bite his own tongue off. Eventually the ball came loose. Please update your design to include two holes and consider removing the plug to avoid situations like this or choking.

Bought one years ago and it is still fine. The design on the new balls is different and not as durable, the squeaker hole has shrunk and dogs can pop it inside the ball very easily. Maybe it will last longer if your dog is a light chewer.

About a week ago, my dog chewed out the squeaker part of the ball while I was out. because there were no other holes in the ball, his tongue got sucked into the hole more and more every time he squeezed it. This are the best chew/squeaky toy we have had yet! I have two border collies that have chewed through everything, even Kong toys. If my dogs can get the entire thing in their mouth, then it will get chewed in two pieces. This ball resembles a tennis ball, yet is smaller and, thankfully, does not have all the fuzz that comes off when our dog chews it. The ball is constructed of tough recycled material and the peanut butter scent although not strong for our noses, was definitely detectable by our dog. Here is some information on my dog that maybe can help you make a choice. My dog is generally really picky with toys and is not toy motivated at all. We actively have to switch out his toys every day to keep him engaged. On top of that, he is also an aggressive chewer so he will chew through his stuffed toys (which also happens to be the only toys he will interact with) within hours if we are not supervising. This was a tad bit expensive but it was worth every penny. He loves playing with his ball and there hasn’t been a day where he has gotten bored of it yet. We use it to help him get some exercise on days when we are busy, we use it to train him and get his attention during walks. The only thing is all the white paint came off as he chewed on the ball. If this is something you are concerned about you can try removing the paint prior to giving it to your dog.

My dog is obsessed with these balls and always has one in his mouth. They are thick rubber so he can’t destroy them within minutes like his squeaky small tennis balls. But I only gave it 3 stars because eventually, usually within a couple of weeks, he has chewed it to the point of dislodging the small plug from it. If he were to swallow the plug it could cause an intestinal obstruction. Beyond that, he has gotten his tongue stuck in the hole created once the plug has come out. The ball is literally stuck on his tongue and I had to pull it off with force. If I hadn’t been there to witness it happening, his tongue would have swelled up and it would have been a serious emergency. Be careful to watch your dogs when they have this toy!

Let’s just be very clear…the reason there should be 2 holes on a dog toy is specifically so the dogs tongue does not get stuck inside of it. There has been a lawsuit with another company due to this reason. I have 2 working dogs and my explosives dogs tongue was lodged inside the ball. Here is some information on my dog that maybe can help you make a choice. My dog is generally really picky with toys and is not toy motivated at all. We actively have to switch out his toys every day to keep him engaged. On top of that, he is also an aggressive chewer so he will chew through his stuffed toys (which also happens to be the only toys he will interact with) within hours if we are not supervising. This was a tad bit expensive but it was worth every penny. He loves playing with his ball and there hasn’t been a day where he has gotten bored of it yet. We use it to help him get some exercise on days when we are busy, we use it to train him and get his attention during walks. The only thing is all the white paint came off as he chewed on the ball. If this is something you are concerned about you can try removing the paint prior to giving it to your dog.

This is our fur baby’s favorite toy/ball! She loves any toy that squeaks but she always goes back to this ball. We got size small for our 8lb mini dachshund and we went through a few of them already (that’s how often she plays with it). We stocked up on them and got every color, minus the bacon(purple) because she chews on it so much the seal pops off in like 6 months or so. Please don’t ever stop making this squeaky chew ball!

This is our dog’s favorite toy. We’ve had the peanut butter and the chicken flavor as well, but the cheese one is by far his favorite! My only issue is that my dog loves the cheesy ball so much that he chews it incessantly and eventually (unless I hide it from him) chews it to pieces! Rollo is a big biter (Amstaff-Boxer mix) so I suppose him eventually destroying it is a given. The peanut butter one is still intact and the chicken flavored one lasted for months. (BTW we play fetch with the cheesy ball everyday).

I bought the red one as a trial basis because my chihuahua mix loves tearing up the tennis balls. I got tired of picking up the ripped fabric. My dog loves playing with these scented rubber balls much longer than the traditional tennis balls! I got the yellow and blue one as well. He plays with them all! He likes chewing on the blue bone some times too!

So thought it was the size of a tennis ball when I ordered it. But when I got it I found it was the size of a golf ball. Thinking my border collie mix would not like it, figured give it a try anyway. She loves it, she sits on her bed and just chews and makes it squeak for 10-15 minutes sometimes. She has not destroyed it, like I think bigger dogs would. But she will play fetch with it for what seems like hours. It is a little pricey. But for $9 it has lasted 2 weeks thus far with no damage sustained.

This are the best chew/squeaky toy we have had yet! I have two border collies that have chewed through everything, even Kong toys. If my dogs can get the entire thing in their mouth, then it will get chewed in two pieces. After a mishap with a previous Playology toy, Karen provided excellent customer service and recommended the XL squeaky chew ball. I now have two balls, the red and yellow. They both seem to prefer the red (beef) ball, but so far these balls are still intact and they play with it every day!

I bought the peanut butter ball a while ago (not sure exactly how long. My dog loved this ball. About a week ago, my dog chewed out the squeaker part of the ball while I was out. because there were no other holes in the ball, his tongue got sucked into the hole more and more every time he squeezed it. When I got home, 2-3 inches of his tongue were stuck in the ball. Now, even after seeing multiple veterinarians and doing everything possible, he will lose parts of his tongue.

Our cairn terrier has the Jaws of Death, but even he must work extra hard to make a dent in these balls. They’re cheesy with teeth marks, but not a chunk has come out in a couple months of heavy chewing. The new improved squeakies have gone silent, but they’re still intact. The first ones got pushed into the ball, but these have stayed put.
