Recommended daily feeding amounts for puppies with normal activity using a standard 8 oz/250ml measuring cup which contains approximately 95 g of Purina ONE. Feed as an adult beyond 2 years of age. Puppy Feeding Instructions: Start puppies on moistened Purina ONE as early as they will nibble at solid foods, generally 3 – 4 weeks of age. Allow your puppy to eat at will until fully weaned (6 – 8 weeks). After weaning, feed pups (to six months of age) all of the moistened or dry Purina ONE they will consume at intervals throughout the day. If water is added, use no more than one part warm (not hot) liquid to four parts Purina ONE, changing frequently to ensure freshness. If fed dry, this formula may be kept before pups at all times. For best results, develop a regular feeding schedule, such as three small meals a day for younger puppies. Gradually reduce to one feeding in the morning and one in the evening as your puppy ages. The Importance Of Ideal Body Condition: Nestle Purina Research indicates that avoiding overfeeding of puppies may help their development. Maintaining ideal body condition is key to encouraging proper growth in all puppies, especially large breeds. The indicated amounts are only a guideline. If your puppy becomes overweight, a reduction of their daily food intake may be appropriate. You may wish to consult your veterinarian about a weight control program. I got a new puppy in April 2019, she is a Heeler/Cattle dog. I researched ALOT! When it came to the right puppy food for my little Rosie. I must have stayed up for hours looking into other brands ingredients list, making sure each ingredient was perfect for our puppy. I did try Kirkland brand dry puppy food first and it was not agreeing with her tummy. I'm not saying it wasnt good or healthy for her, it just didn't agree with her. Then one day when I was feeding our other dog whom also has sensitive stomach issues and super picky, he is a 10 year old Pom/Chow I was already feeding him Purina One Smartblend Natural dry dog food. And he loves this food so much he eats every single bite. I wondered if they had a puppy one? Sure enough I found out they had the SMARTBLEND puppy food, and I was really excited to try this with our new puppy. Sure enough she would quickly gobble it all down. Now both my dogs have no stomach issues or itchiness and I have never seen such a softer coat on either of them in my life from a dry dog food before. I do not give them wet food as it can cause build up of plaque and other dental issues and smelly breath. So their both on a strict diet of dry food and some bones and rawhides for in-between meals. Their teeth are amazingly white and heathly gums. I highly recommend this brand of food for a new puppy and or senior dog. Gives them enough protein and energy to get through the day. They both love the soft morsels in the food and seem content. I also have our two Maincoon cats on Purina One cat food and they love it as well. It's a family of Purina ONE lovers in this household.

I have 2 small dogs. The have always just nibbled at their food picking out certain ones and leaving the rest. My daughter had some of this food.. She gave it to me to try the dogs love it. .Eat all the kernels and we use a lot more dog food now.

We took on 2 foster pups from a breeding mill rescuer last year and we foster failed. They had had a poor start in life and needed some good quality nutrition which we found in the Purina one +Plus Healthy Puppy chow and canned meat that gave them the boost they needed. They are thriving and always happy for meal time now that We have transitioned them to the small breed formula. We will feed this to all our pets and foster pets in future.

This is the second litter we have used this food for, puppies love it. Great size for theese little guys, they go crazy. We have a breed mix that is only up to 30lbs when full grown and they eat it since 4 weeks starting with the canned puppy food. Once he was switched to Purina One Smart Blend puppy food, all of that changed! He has a lovely shiny, soft coat and really has that puppy “BOUNCE”!! Also, my daughter’s puppy wasn’t eating the food he was on, when we went to visit he kept eating Bernie’s. Jermaine (daughters puppy) is now eating and loving Purina One Smart Blend puppy food.
