[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently introduced Royal Canin Weight Care Dry Cat Food to my 10-year-old cat, I observed that, while there wasn’t a noticeable change in her weight, she genuinely enjoyed the food. The formula despite being tailored for weight management, seemed to appeal to her. Despite not witnessing a significant shift in her weight, I appreciate the well-balanced blend of proteins, fibers, and essential nutrients in the formula, which aligns with her overall health needs.

I like the large bag that is re-sealable. My fussy cat loves Royal Canin
voni (verified owner) –
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So my cat loves the flavor I personally wouldn’t buy this food just because there are so many additives and I like to use a more natural approach for my cat. My cat also is underweight, so giving her a food for weight control just isn’t good for her, but she really did like the taste.
Kismet8817 (verified owner) –
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My cat is a Pickier eater then my toddler! With that being said she is a bit on the chubbier side. We have been looking for a weight management cat food that she would eat. To my surprise she actually ate it and it didn’t come back up!! I will
Be getting this again for her

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My cats loved this food, I couldn’t believe it was a weight loss formula. They liked it so much they kept wanting more or possibly wasn’t filling enough for my fat cats.

I bought this dry cat food and I was very impressed that my cat finally lost weight.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have an older indoor cat. Hes almost 9 and has been struggling to maintaine weight. I had tried other foods but finding a appetizing food that he’ll eat and not complain about was not easy. Until we tried royal canine weight care dry cat food. Immediately my big guy was intrigued. He is now eating with less complaints then he did with his old food. In the time he’s had it we haven’t had issues with hair balls or upset stomach. He’s been in happy with his full tummy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My cats are very picky eaters but they absolutely love this brand of food. They ate it without any issues. Its small pieces and looks like cheerios. They ate all of their meal and was happy kitties afterwards. I highly recommend this brand and this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a senior cat who can be very picky with his food. He enjoys Royal Canin Weight Care Dry Cat Food, and is always ready for mealtime. Easy for him to eat, good-sized bags, and a trustworthy brand!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My cats are not picky eaters, but they seem to be enjoying this food so far! I am not sure about the long term benefits yet. One of my cats does have a sensitive stomach and has had no issues with this food so far. The shape is perfect for making sure they have to chew the food.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My fur babies are way too spoiled and they deserve the best quality of the most nutritious kitty treats and foods. Royal anın weight card is perfect for my never stop being hungry chubby one that needs food as well as healthiness benefits to it. He enjoyed every bit of this goodness that tastes delicious since he is all about this new dry cat food. I sometimes mix a little pate or soup to add a little more taste to it and my fur babies are so enjoying every meal.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cat food has a nice smell not over powerful and the pieces look like little donuts. The food is made to control your cats weight and I haven’t noticed any weight gain so I’d say it works.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I started with this bag and have continued to feed this to my cat that was overweight. While he wasn’t as excited about this food as his typical one, after a few days he was happy to eat it. I noticed that he is losing gradual weight and will continue with this food until he reaches his optimal size.
Kitty Mom of 3 (verified owner) –
My cats are losing weight at a healthy pace, they have gained such softer non greasy hair, throw up less and when they go to the restroom is doesn’t smell bad and dries quicker. I will continue to recommend this food to everyone! Thank you petsupplycanada for having it in stock!
averylucia (verified owner) –
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My cats are not picky about their food. They will eat anything. But I do like that this is for weight management. My female cat can get pudgy if we’re not careful so we try to use weight formulas for them. Idk if it works bc it hasn’t been long enough. But they’ll eat it.
Lkp35 (verified owner) –
We started feeding our cat this food a year and a half ago. He was very overweight at almost 25 pounds. I used the calculations on the Cornell website for weight loss. Since keeping him on this food and a strict diet, he has lost 10 pounds. He is acting like a kitten again, leaping up in the air with his toys. We are so happy to have found this food that he loves and has helped him so much. His quality of life has greatly improved.

I slowly transitioned from Purina Pro Plan to Royal Canin Weight Control because I thought this was a better product, now I’m thinking of switching back. My 14 y/o vomits this up immediately after eating and my 6 y/o holds out as long as possible to not eat it. This isn’t the idea of weight control I had in mind.

I buy Royal Cain cat food because it is more healthy than Purnia.

I keep buying the food for my cats, they love this food… they really like it and it’s not expensive and it’s low in calories

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve fed this to my cat now tor about 2 weeks I always get Leary changing her food but this is a good brand so I tried it and she actually loved it. She has some sensitive stomach issues and this didn’t seem to disrupt that. I didn’t really notice a weight loss but I haven’t fed it to her long enough but over all she seems to enjoy it.
minduron (verified owner) –
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Royal Canin Weight Care Dry Cat Food looks and smells of good quality. My cat’s interest was immediately piqued, upon opening the bag. As I poured dry food into the bowl, he began devouring it, until every last bite was gone. I would definitely recommend this product to others.
Meeeee123 (verified owner) –
I have 3 picky cats and all 3 enjoy this brand. I find Royal canin is on the pricey side when comparing with other brands.
Gghhj (verified owner) –
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My cat can be a little picky about what she eats despite being a little fatty. That being said, I chose the weight care. I’m hoping this food will at least keep her weight from inclining. She does eat this food but not with as much excitement as some brands, but I guess that’s a good thing.
smorse1835 (verified owner) –
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My cat Hermione fell in love with this cat food at first bite. I have always struggled to find a weight control food for my cat that will not upset her tummy but also appeals to her. The cat food is very nutritious, which I love. Plus, I have noticed she was fuller faster so she does not overeat.
hollym88 (verified owner) –
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a super finicky cat. Mouse will just turn her nose up to just about all dry kibble but she adores this stuff. We do have to use a slow feeder for this because she eats way too fast. I know this is a pricier food but if you have a picky eater it’s an amazing option
R and G mom (verified owner) –
My picky cats will eat this without any fuss and they really like the smell. This is the best reduced calories aval . all around. I had tried several brands due to cost, but keep coming back to R.C. Will just have to pay the cost . My (4 or 5 years) experience with all R C cat food choices have shown to be the best quality for the most beautiful coats.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My cat really liked this Royal Canin Weight Care Dry cat food. I was kind of nervous at first because she is very picky. I really like this cat food a lot because it will help with her not becoming overweight because it helps limit weight gain in adult cats. I would definitely recommend this Royal Canin Weight Care Dry cat food if you have an overweight cat or just want to maintain your cats healthy weight.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our 11 year old cat loves Royal Canin cat food. Being a spayed female she is more prone to weight gain as we have experienced. This food has helped to minimize her weight gain. I love that this product helps to support health and nutrition, based on ingredients. Our cat loves this food and feeds at free will.
pi_girl314 (verified owner) –
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Last year at my cats vet appointment, the vet told us that we need to be careful that my cat does not gain any more weight. She was 11 pounds when we adopted her and was 13 pounds at her appointment. She has another appointment next week and I hope our vet will tell us that she has lost weight. We are careful to only feed her the recommended amount on the bag. She loves the taste of this food and we always hear her crunching while eating it. I have also noticed she has not been sick after eating like she had after eating other brands.
broverstreet (verified owner) –
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Every year our cats like to spend more time in the house during the winter so naturally they are not as active. They usually put on a few pounds and then shed it once it warms up in the spring and they play outside. I know this isn’t good for their overall health and life span so I thought I would try some weight management food. This brand puts lots of fiber into their food so they feel more full and eat less overall. I also love that it comes with a weight chart and then breaks it down into low and normal energy needs so you know just how many cups to feed your cat! As far as flavor goes, my 2 seem to love it! They eat it up just like their normal brand. The guarantee is weight loss over a period of 2 months so we will see!
2Cornichons (verified owner) –
I mix it with Royal Canin Indoor adult cat food for my 10-year-old rescue, Linus. He’s not losing any weight, but at least he’s not gaining any either.
Yard Woman (verified owner) –
He has been eating this food for about 5 weeks and I’m not sure if he is losing weight or not, hard to tell since he doesn’t like to be picked up. Will try for a couple more months though.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My cat loves the taste of this cat food. She eats it so fast, but we are trying to get her to eat less food because she loves to eat. So far, she is eating less and seems to be full longer. She still gets her treats but is eating great still.
Russel M (verified owner) –
I didn’t realize Royal Canin had changed the shape and composition of their adult weight care cat food. My cats has been eating this Weight care food for years and with this recent update, she eats it quicker and is asking for more than she should eat but I keep her daily intake measured. She really likes the updated formula much better than the previous generation Weight Care.
Andrea237 (verified owner) –
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My cats have been getting a little chubby,so our vet recommended to switch them to a weight management food.
The Royal Canin weight care dry food promises weight loss over time if following the feeding instructions provided on the back of the bag. The instructions are very clearly listed by weight and activity level of your cat and easy to follow.
My cats love the taste and I had no issues transitioning them over from their old food.
The food has a high fiber content to promote fullness as well as plenty of protein to maintain muscle mass.

Like other reviewers I assumed this was just repackaging of the “Indoor Light 17% less calories” product but it is not. The change in shape/formula was a surprise (as they removed image of the kibble from the bag) but unlike other reviewers my cats were still (thankfully) willing to eat it.
Ed42 (verified owner) –
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We recently switched to weight care cat food due to one of our cats gaining weight. We generally leave it out for the cats to graze on during the day and give them wet food in the morning. This product has been great. The cats eat it the same as the indoor cat food we used to leave out but it is working on slimming down our heavy kitty. She has lost just over a pound in about a month and a half. Our vet recommended this brand and we are happy with the results.

from Cat: I eat it so I must like it. Hopefully it will deter me from putting on too much weight. My human, however, prefers more flavour.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this for my cat, but she is so finicky that she would not eat it. But I have a stray cat that I feed, and he loved it. I’m always on the lookout for new food for my cat, but unfortunately, this is not it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My friend gave me part of a bag since her cat had to go on a special diet. I tried it on my cat and, lo and behold, he loves that weight care dry food! He really needs to lose a few pounds, so I am delighted that he likes this Royal Canin food.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cat food is actual pretty neat. I’ve honestly never heard of it before. It helps limit weight gain in adult cats. Which both of my cats need help with especially Zues who is a male Siamese. He weighs 20lbs as of yesterday when he went to the vet. They like it and it is made from great ingredients such as chicken meal, pea fiber, fish oil and much more. The only downside side is the price for the quantity you get. Unfortunately that’s the price you pay for good stuff sometimes. I did receive this complementary of Royal Canin and Influenster in return for my honest opinion and feedback.
Yard Woman (verified owner) –
My cat has not been on this food long enough for me to know if he will lose any weight. So far he likes it.
Petlovr (verified owner) –
My cat loves this. She needs to slim down a little, but I have yet to see any results. I had been buying grain free dry food, which she would eat 2 Tbsp. of daily and would be satisfied. She isn’t satisfied with this and it takes about 6 Tbsp. to satisfy her, which adds up to more calories. I think it’s the the fact that it’s not grain free that makes her want more.
KennyK (verified owner) –
I have a 15.5lbs cat, 6 years old. I am trying to help him loose some weight. Then I brought this “Weight” control formula. My cat loves it! Can’t stop eating! But my purpose is to control his weight and appetite. This totally defeats the purpose of this formula.
Will never buy this formula again!
CanadianCatLover (verified owner) –
I bought this because Royal Canin has discontinued (WHY, I don’t know) their “American Shorthair” dry cat food and this is what the RC website recommended in its place. I’d like to know WHY they have cancelled the only food my cats have really enjoyed in several years. They aren’t too thrilled with this replacement “flavour”.
partofmegan (verified owner) –
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My mom has one of the fattest cats that I know, so it could definitely benefit from this food. I’m sure it will take time for the food to run its course but for now it seems to enjoy it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a cat that is a little overweight, so it’s important that he get to a healthy weight. He loved this food as soon as I put it down for him. He didn’t seem like he was unsatisfied or wanted anymore food than normal. Wow, this makes kitty weight loss easy for me and my cat! Also, the resealable bag makes it easier for me and it keeps the food fresh. Love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I was a little skeptical since my kitty is pretty picky when it comes to any food items, so I wasn’t sure she would eat it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have quite a chubster. We adopted him at 40lbs and now he’s about 26-27lbs, trying to get lower of course. He mainly eats wet food as stricter diet and 1/2 or 1/4 cup of dry food a day depends on food schedule. This formula worked great for us, low in calories, high in protein and apparently great tasting, as my cat loves it a lot.
Great formula, no digestive issues observed, no vomiting and stool is great. Cat approved, me apploved! Thanks!

I have tried other brands and my pet doesn’t like it and I had to buy this
ApollosMom (verified owner) –
Finally a dry food my cat loves and doesn’t overeat! Our orange tabby Apollo went from an underweight intact stray to a fixed overweight indoor cat only who loves food & treats and weighed 19 lbs last vet visit. He always had to have dry food in a bowl or else he would be a jerk to our other cat. We think because of food security. First we started with numerous other brands weight control but they didn’t work, the to Royal Canin Appetite Control, it took the edge off, but not enough. Since we changed to Weight Control, he’s eating less and doesn’t always beg for food. He even leaves some for later now. We hope in the next few months he drops his excess weight. We call these cat “cheerios” – he loves it! For reference he gets 1.5 oz wet food 2x/day with 1 TBS RC dry food as a topper + 1/3 cup RC in his bowl overnight. We are slowly reducing his food as recommended by his Veterinarian

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was sketchy if my cats would try a new food as I have a couple picky eaters, but they really enjoyed Royal Canin weight care cat food. Which is a double plus because my 15lb cat could lose a few lbs off him. I would recommend to any cat owner to give a try.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I picked up the cat food a month ago and having a very picky cat it’s hard to find a brand that makes there food with real ingredients. My cat loved it and ate with no problems. In the months time she had went from just wet food to only eating hard food. Definitely a brand that I can trust

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Since having my cats fixed, my inside cat has gained a lot of weight. I knew I wasn’t over feeding her so it had to be what I was feeding her. I have tried different brands but she is an extremely finicky eater. She sure loves this Royal Canin- Weight Care Dry Cat Food as you will see in my pictures. She cracks me up! Thank you for such a great food and for making my cat happy again!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Finding this could not have came at a better time. My youngest cat has always been a little chubby but its hard to tell because she is so fluffy. Until this last time we took her to the vet for routine visit and the vet said she was overweight and suggested we try to get her to lose some weight. A friend recommended this food brand to us and we tried it and it works! She didn’t love the taste at first but she loves it now and she is a very picky cat. I highly recommend for anyone with a chubby or overweight cat. She has already lost a couple of pounds!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My cat has tried multiple foods over the years, and Royal Canin is a trusted brand for us. Sometimes the specialty foods like weight management are not as loved, but he seems to enjoy it and eat it heartily. He likes a few as treats, too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We’ve tried Royal Canin before. Thomas (orange guy) had it as his first canned food as a kitten. He liked it ok, but he prefers kibble. He didn’t love their dry kitten food. I like the brand because they use high quality science-based nutrition, but unfortunately none of my cats have ever cared about that and tend to turn their nose up at the food that is best for them. Tommy has rapidly bulked up since we got Juniper, so I was happy to try this. He was not very impressed, I thought because he prefers his crunchies in smaller form. I figured we would try to donate the rest to the shelter. However, when I put it in the dish to stage the photo, he was all about it, and the kitten got in on the action as well! They both seem to like it as an addition to their regular kibble, although the baby definitely doesn’t need diet food!
Ember (verified owner) –
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Royal Canin’s weight care cat food is the best for fur baby! As he grows older he’s less active from his kitten years. I could tell he’s been putting on some weight and wanted him to be his best. By keeping healthy, watching his weight, helping him stay active, and feeding him quality cat food from Royal Canin. In the past month of slowly switching him to the weight care dry cat food I personally can tell a difference in his demeanor. Royal Canin weight care dry cat food is quality and a great choice for my kitty!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My two adult cats are a tad overweight so I was looking for a dry food that specifically focuses on managing that. I was worried that they won’t even touch it because they are both equally picky. I started feeding them a few pieces at a time as a treat and they couldn’t get enough. I’ve now started mixing it in with their regular food. I haven’t been giving it to them long enough yet to really see a difference but the Royal Canin brand is a quality food so I’m happy to have introduced it to them.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this a few weeks ago for my older, over-weight kitty. He usually doesn’t care for the taste of Weight-Control varieties, but I thought I’d try this one. He loves the taste. So does my other “not so hefty” kitty. So they give Royal Canin Weight Care Cat food 5 Stars. I typically have to be careful changing to a new cat food because they tend to not tolerate new foods very well. I didn’t notice this with the Royal Canin. No issues at all. I feel good giving this food to my 14 year old male cat with the hopes that it will help control his overweight issue.
Moonwell (verified owner) –
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have been using this now for about a week and we are mixing it with other food because we wanted to last. our cats will literally dig to wear this food is in the bowl and eat that specifically before even touching the other stuff. I cannot give a more glowing endorsement of this product then to say that my cats are obsessed with it. Not only that but my fat cat is now starting to lose a little bit of weight .

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Cooper has gotten a bit hefty. He loves this food and it has helped him drop a few pounds. It is nice to have a healthier food that cats like to eat. He seems to eat less, as well. I will continue it to help him maintain a healthy weight.

Switched my cat to this food and he screams for it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] She didn’t want to eat it at first but once I got her to start eating it did take some bloat off of her but not enough food in the bag to see a real change. The bag was about halfway full and with the price I’d expect a full bag.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cat food satisfies my fat cat and seems to be meeting his nutritious needs while helping him to lose weight. Precise fat and calorie content supports healthy metabolism and weight management. A special blend of fibers helps regulate appetite and energy intake, helping cats feel full.

Good quality, tastes good (per Fluffy), they feel satisfied. Been feeding this to my cats over the years with pretty good results. One of my heavy cats has slimmed down to normal size, took a couple of years; the other cat is still a work in progress…
Pickleb4sandwich (verified owner) –
I recently had to switch the cats from their boutique brand food and wanted to get them on one of the brands our vet recommended. We tried a couple of other brands but both of my cats LOVED this food.
xta33yc4tx (verified owner) –
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I mixed this in with their regular food and they loved it, didn’t even care that it was for weight management. They wound up getting ahold of the bag and ripping it open wanting more!

I have 2 hefty cats, one a 20 lb, one at 14. They need to lose weight. I had been feeding them Iams indoor weight and furball control, as well as Blue tTastefuls. I got a bag of the Royal Canin a couple of weeks ago. The really like it, I did not have to transition them at all.
Gisse (verified owner) –
I keep buying this cat food. My cats love it , they need to lose weight and this dry cat food has very low calories
JohnJohn12 (verified owner) –
I think Royal Canin is good but way too expensive. There has to be huge markup by manufacturer not retailer.
gatxpeach38 (verified owner) –
My girls weren’t all that excited about it but, they are eating it. For me that is a big Plus!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My cat is always picky an sometimes getting sick after eating. So someone recommended this product since they had the same issue. The cat absolutely loves the food. She doesnt throw up as much, barely at all and was quick to try it which was surprising considered she picky.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have picky animals. They don’t always like what I give them to eat. They really liked this food. They didn’t take very long to clear the bowl. I highly recommend this food. And it comes in more than one flavor.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My cat is overweight so I figured I’d try a diet food to try to get him to lose a few pounds and he usually hates everything I’ve tried so far but both of my cats loved the Weight Care Dry Cat Food so I’ll definitely be buying more!

The food has changed without any warning and they’re now circles like Cheerios but hard as a rock. Two of our cats had trouble chewing it and now another has suddenly gotten blood in its stool. Changing their diet now.
Jac3691 (verified owner) –
We have been using this food for about a year now and it does help control the weight of our overweight kitties. Added bonus is that even though they are very finicky, they actually will eat it without a fuss no

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Royal Canine is a quality brand you can trust! Kiki my cat is a little overweight and loves to eat. Royal Canine Weight Care dry cat food is a great option because I know it is directed at focusing on helping her to maintain a healthy weight. She also seems to really enjoy her dinners and comes running when I fill her dish.
CharlieAnn (verified owner) –
My cat had BAD allergies, plus a touch of feline psychosis & would lick ALL her fur off. This went on for YEARS! We switched from grocery store brand to Royal Canin Hair & Skin. The allergies lighted up but never got better. She was quickly running out of food & I couldn’t find the Hair & Skin formula ANYWHERE!! I went back to petsupplycanada & found the Weight Management which was the only one that wasn’t breed specific. After a couple weeks it was like night & day. Her hair has all grown back. She still licks a little but not like she use to. Plus it’s less expensive than the other formula, you get twice as much and it lasts longer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have 4 cats in the household! One of the 4 is overweight and was looking for food that would help manage/lose some of his weight. This is one of the food that i was able to try! It has been 3 weeks and i have noticed a major difference on all of them. The overweight cat has lost 3 pounds and he is not over eating with this food. I Highly Recommend!
SJ428 (verified owner) –
So I needed a food that was something my cats enjoyed and would help manage their weight this does both. The last time I was at the vet they had lost some weight so it works.

It has helped our cat to loose weight, and keep it off. He also loves the taste of the food.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have 3 outdoor cats that can be picky when it comes to cat food. However all 3 of them clean their bowl with this cat food. I love the fact that it doesn’t have a funky “cat food” smell when I open the bag. The morsels are bite-size and help promotenuribary health as well.
Gatxpeach (verified owner) –
I had previously purchases this for my very picky girls. They ate the first time but wouldn’t go near their bowls the second. I must say I was very disappointed with the ingredients. Given its price I thought it would not contain meal by products. I will not purchase it for my cats again.
Lori SC (verified owner) –
This has helped my cats loose a little weight so I think it works. The cats are still always hungry though. I wish they would do something about the zip seal on the bag. This is our fourth bag and the zip seal breaks before they are even half way through the bag (I have two cats eating it and they get fed twice a day) and then I have to figure out a way to keep the bag sealed so it doesn’t go stale.
Heidi_Cat (verified owner) –
Our cat has been eating this food for over a year and she likes it. She definitely prefers Royal Canin over other brands of diet food. And after a few months, she has begun to lose some weight.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My cats loved this food! As you can tell in the picture, they devoured it and definitely made a choice between this one and their everyday dry food. I have been noticing though that one of my cats has been vomiting more frequently and I’m not sure why. As far as the weight care, I have to keep monitoring them to see if it makes any difference in my larger cat especially.

Missy keeps eating Royal Canon for persian’s. Which is Annie’s food. The weight control food keeps her from getting fat, and if Annie eats it, her sensitive tummy doesn’t get upset.

I purchased this food June 2024 for my obese male fixed cat that was 9 months old. Today (SEPT 4, 2024) he is 1 year old and he has lost the weight, now weening him onto the dental crunchies which both my cats love. I have had no problems with Royal Canin, it’s a brand I trust. Both my cats are healthy and vibrant.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hello everyone, I received from Influenster Royal Canin Weight Minceur cat food. Well, as pictured, my fur baby needs a diet, and Royal Canin is it. It gradually helps your cat to feel full and not over eat. This promotes healthy metabolism with L-carnitine to help with fat metabolism. This also helps maintain muscle and ideal body condition.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Royal Canin Weight Care Dry Cat Food free in exchange for my honest review. The company claims to have proven results with over 90% of cats losing weight in 2 months. It contains 3209 kilocalories of metabolizable kilocalories per kilogram per cup. On the back of the bag there is a chart which allows you to see how much to feed you precious fur baby. The bag even talks about how to help transition from the old food to the new food, which I found so helpful. The food itself reminds me of small doughnuts, they are round in shape with no center. This cat food helps promote healthy metabolism with L-carnitine and it helps the cat feel full due to an ideal fiber blend. I was quite disheartened when I saw that the bag is no where near full, it’s not even half full. I find this very wasteful and to be honest I feel this is poor management of the business to keep costs down for their consumers. I did like the top was resealable. All in all, my sweet fur babies would not even eat it they sniffed it and then walked away. I will not be buying this cat food. I also would like to advise this company to not package cat food like chip companies do!!!!!
DNJanssen (verified owner) –
I started my chonky cat on this a few years ago when supply chain issues made the other kibble unavailable. My cat loves this food! Even my normal weight cat voluntarily eats this. Chonky cat lost a bit of weight and most importantly her poo is no longer an eye watering nose burning bio hazard. Yes this kibble is pricier than others, but the lack of waste odor makes it worth it.
DC32 (verified owner) –
So happy with the new Cat food ! My cat took to it in about 2 days!
jptheprez (verified owner) –
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Even though it’s weight care formula , my cats gobbled it right up , so they love it and it helps control your cats weight , great for older overweight cats. Great quality kibble and cats enjoyed it throughly , will continue to use because we have an older overweight coat, this should help out greatly in controlling her weight.

I have tried this cat food before and went back to this cat food. I tried other cat foods in-between Royal Canin, but my kitty did not like them very well and was always hungry after eating. But with Royal Canin, her tummy is satisfied and she no longer is hungry after eating. For my kitty, it is the best cat food I can give her and helps her with weight control.

Royal Canin is my go to pet brand for quality food. It is recommended by my Veterinarian as an excellent choice for my cat’s weight control plan. Best part is that she loves the taste.

After receiving this bag of Royal Canin Weight Care Dry Cat Food, I poured some in a dish and called for my cat, as I was curious to see if she would like it. As soon as she got to the bowl, she dove right in without hesitation. Well she must have liked the way it tastes because she wouldn’t stop eating it. I had to take it away from her before she ate that whole bowl of food. Afterwards, I started mixing it in with her normal food, a little bit more and more everyday, until she was completely off of her normal food and solely eating the Royal Canin Weight Care Dry Cat Food. After switching to the Royal Canin cat food, I have noticed that overall she just looks more healthy. I can’t really say much about if it helped with weight, because although we were told she was spayed, somehow she wound up pregnant. Though I can’t say if this will control your cat’s weight, I can say that my cat really enjoys this cat food.
kjs899 (verified owner) –
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was my first time trying royal canin and both of our cats really liked this! Must have been tasty because they kept picking this over their current dry food! The kibble is a good size helping ensure your cat can also easily eat it!

I bought this food probably 3-4 months ago. I have been following the feeding guides in how much to feed my cat to get her to a healthier weight, she has not lose any weight, only have been maintaining it. She weighs 13.6 lbs so I have been feeding her 1/2 in order to get her to the 8.8-6 lbs. I have been weighing her every two weeks since we completely switched over to this food and her weight has not changed. Little disappointed that her weight has not moved a bit since this food is supposed to help weight loss. My cat seems to like the food thats why I am giving it two stars.

I had been buying Blue Buffalo weight control and the cat was not losing weight so I decided to try a bag of Royal Canin to see if he would eat it. He really does like it and he is now just starting his third bag and I believe he is finally losing a few ounces.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Royal Canin is a very trusted brand by the vets and it was always recommended for cat Elsa. My cat was getting bored with her current flavor and I tried this and now my cat is hooked. She can’t stop eating it ! It’s too early to say about the weight but I’m sure it will help in that as well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My family has a slightly overweight 7 year old cat. After a recent vet visit, they suggested trying a weight management type of food. We’ve felt that his previous food had not helped him feel “full” which has resulted to him eating more. We got some Royal Canin to try and to be honest, my husband and I were a little skeptical because our cat is extremely picky when it comes to his food! To our surprise, he LOVES it! He has been doing very well with it and we’ve noticed he’s been eating less. This food has good quality ingredients packed with protein and fiber which makes him feel full faster. We haven’t noticed a difference in his weight yet as it’s still to early to see results, but we are very optimistic!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Royal Canin Weight Care Dry Cat Food offers balanced nutrition, designed for cats with specific weight management needs. Its formula guarantees adequate intake of essential nutrients to maintain feline health. Additionally, the flavor and texture of this food are appetizing, making it easy for cats to enjoy a balanced diet while managing their weight.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am not sure what kind of magic they put in this food but my cats destroyed it the second I put it in their bowls. They thought they were getting treats when they were just getting food. Definitely going to look at getting more of this for my picky babies.
Stanleymegan03 (verified owner) –
My cat was 24 lbs in August, 2024. I switched her to Royal Canin, started her on portion control and encourage more activity. She’s now 23.2. Royal Canin definitely works if you measure the portions out right and get your kitty moving.
jacq11 (verified owner) –
Bought this by accident a couple months ago thinking it was the original 17% indoor weight cat. The marketing is almost identical but the kibble is a different shape and both of my cats refuse to eat it. Very upset with Royal Canin as they have removed the picture of the kibble off the packaging which would have prevented my mistake. Not fair to pets to change their food without warning and leave a pet owner scrambling. Will be searching for another brand to replace.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My cat was overweight and has a sensitive stomach. I slowly switched her to this food over the course of a few days and so well I have had no problems getting her to eat it. She has been on it for a few weeks though and there has been very little change in her weight. Hopefully the slow change means that she will keep it off but time will tell.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have 5 cats and one of them is overweight. Her vet said to get a speciality diet food for her. She has always been picky so I was worried, but she gobbles it up. I have noticed a few improvements in her health overall since she started eating this. Since she has been doing so well on it in the past few weeks, I’ve now switched all 5 cats over and they all enjoy it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My cat hasn’t been as active lately since she’s getting up there in age. I wanted to swap out her food for a healthier choice but was concerned she would be onto me and my plan. Luckily the first day I put out this weight care food she ate it up! I’m talking about big bite fulls that I’ve never seen her do before. I’m so happy she took to it super quickly. Even after two weeks she’s still loving it. So grateful to have a new dry food that has great benefits!

indyjournalista (verified owner) –
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really surprised that both my cats like this. My 18-year-old cat Chloe had a prescription food that’s Royal Canin, but she always dips into our 6-year-old (but much bigger) cat, Mr. Norris’ dish. I planned on giving this to Mr. Norris, even though he prefers bigger pieces. He loved this – and I should probably start buying this to help his diet! And Chloe loved it too. She didn’t really eat much of her own and just kept eating this one. So, per my cats, two paws up

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have three cats and two of them are on the chubby side. Probably partly because they are incredibly picky and like their dry food, but love their wet food. If they would enjoy their dry food more, I’d stick to that diet. With Royal Canin Weight Care Dry food at least half of the diet will be better for them. They LOVED this dry food and I was surprised. The food isn’t too tiny and looks like Cheerios or teeny donuts. Bonners and Lois are on a diet and they don’t even know it.
Allyson4632 (verified owner) –
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My cat is a little on the hefty side. This food was the perfect option to test it out for her. She does like the food which is great so she has been eating it. So far have not seen any results but I do look forward to continually using it and maybe hoping she loses a little weight.
Debs (verified owner) –
I bought this thinking it would be the same as the bag that listed a 17% success rate for cat weight loss, but it is not. This new formula has a different shape and smell. They are large circles, like Cheerios. My cat’s hate it and won’t eat it. The bag claims 90% weight loss, but I assume that’s because the cats in the clinical trial wouldn’t eat it. In addition, the price is the same but there is only 6lbs of food and the bag is bigger than the 7lb bag the other food had.
livinglikeacat (verified owner) –
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Finally, a weight control food my cats actually eat. Usually, they just ignore it. With this one, they actually get excited and eat it all. I’m really happy with this food, and so are my cats.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My cat, who is a picky eater, will eat this food. It does not smell funny like some cat foods do. However, for regular feeding, you could find much more carnivore-appropriate foods at a lower price. We probably won’t buy it again.

We had to buy this particular Royal Canin as a result of Royal Canin NOT being able to get the ingredients ( we think is the reason) to get the specific Royal Canin SIAMESE brand food. A rep from RC suggested this particular one. Our Siamese has only eaten the Siamese type. So far he is adjusting to “Weight Minceur”.
