DESCRIPTION

ROYAL CANIN Feline Care Nutrition Indoor Hairball
Care Cat Food is for adult indoor cats from 1 to 10 years old that are prone to
hairballs. Cats spend 30% of their time grooming. A significant amount of the hair shed is swallowed during these grooming sessions, leading to hairballs in the digestive tract. The Proper nutrition in this delicious dry blend can reduce hairballs and promote healthy digestion.

Key Benefits:

  • CATS PRONE TO HAIRBALLS: Royal Canin Hairball Care Dry Cat Food is tailored nutrition for cats 1 year and older prone to hairballs
  • HAIRBALL MANAGEMENT: Rather than hairballs building up in a cat’s stomach and being regurgitated, this hairball treatment formula helps move hair the cat swallows through the GI tract
  • SPECIAL FIBER BLEND: A specific blend of dietary fibers helps control hairball development for digestive health
  • HEALTHY DIGESTION: Helps manage hairballs that can lead to digestive sensitivities
  • MIX WITH WET FOOD: This adult cat food is the perfect complement to Royal Canin Hairball Care Thin Slices in Gravy Wet Cat Food

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The hairbsll formula works well and has the perfect sized nibbles. My cats are able to eat it without leaving any debris of broken pieces in the bowl. I gave it four stars because they don’t care for the flavor compared to the Savory, their favorite.

It helps with her digestive system due to all that hair licking. I truly believe this food is keeping her healthy and will prolong her life span! Lori Davis

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My cats are extremely picky when it comes to what they eat. I have tried many brands and flavors, but this one seems to be a winner. I have been supplying this to my two queens for 5 years and they have always enjoyed eating it.

This product is wonderful. However, I find it completely unfair that I can now only buy a 6lb bag. The benefit of switching from Hill’s (whom gives me my bags of food for free) to you guys was because I could get the hairball food in mass quantity. I have 7 cats inside and about 20 outside. Buying 6 lb bags would last me one day, maybe two. This is a major inconvenience and way more expensive for me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter’s long haired cats came to live with me and I had always used Royal Canin for my cats, but her cats puked up hairballs on a regular basis, so I decided to try the “intense hairball blend”. Not only has it ended the hair balls almost completely, but their coats are silkier and softer than ever! Absolutely LOVE Royal Canin!!!!

I started using this formula of Royal Canin dry cat food more than a year ago for my two cats. In that time, neither of the cats has had a hairball problem. They love the food, are healthy and content. For me, that all is a perfect result.

My oldest girl cat has hairballs all the time. She also has a grain intolerance. We tried this formula and were shocked by the results. Not only did little miss picky enjoy the food, her hairballs disappeared almost immediately. All of our other cats like it to so we don’t have to separate the bowls either! Thank you!

My cat has been eating this for several years, on the advice of our vet. He is a siamese mix, and very picky. But he likes this food. He had starting vomiting frequently a few years ago, and I figured out it was hairballs, because once he was finally able to cough it up (over the course of several days of vomitting), he was fine for a month, until the cycle started again. Since he has been eating this food, he vomits only about once every 3 or 4 months. This is the only food he eats, in addition to occasional treats. I hope they never change the formulation, like other brands do. I just wish it wasn’t so expensive.

I have 3 rescue cats and they were given this food at the shelter and now this is the only food they will eat. Talking about picky eaters! But it makes it all worth it because they don’t throw up fur balls like they do with other food.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have 3 cats and all of them love this food. We switched to this from the indoor beauty because 1 of our cats has digestive/hairball issues because he’s an obsessive groomer. The indoor beauty cat food was great! All 3 cats coats were shiny & soft after feeding that for a couple weeks. The intense hairball does not have the same effects on their coats but they seem to like it just the same and the obsessed licker does not hack up hairballs as much; Probably because he digests the hair more easily. Royal Canin foods are definetely top of the line!

I was really hoping this food would help prevent hairballs. Although they like the taste of the food, it did not reduce the frequency or amount of hairballs my two cats get. The Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Gastrointestinal- moderate calorie does help with hairballs, but one of my cats does not like the taste very much. So I was looking for another option. I’ll keep looking.

My medium haired cat eats mostly wet food (raw), but suffered from pretty regular hairballs (every 2-4 days). It got to where every morning I’d make sure I turned on the light before walking across the apartment lest I step in a cold, squishy hairball. I started adding a small grain free kibble meal at bedtime (10pm) to see if that minimized the hairball vomiting in the early mornings by giving her stomach something to do. It helped a little, but I would still get at least 1-3 a week.

No more stepping on hair balls in the middle of the night .My cat is a rescue cat and you would think he would be happy eating anything. They introduced him to this product when he was saved at the humane society as a kitten he won’t eat any other product. My wife works for Arcana and Origen pet foods and he won’t touch the stuff. Spoiled kitty!

My wife and I are owned by a beautiful 6 year old Birman cat. Her name is Azul, and we call her Zulie. She’s been eating Royal Canin all her life, and as an adult, she’s been enjoying the Indoor Intense Hairball “34”. About 2 years ago she came down with periodontal disease and we had to have all of her teeth taken out. We of course thought that we would have to switch her to soft foods only and tried many different ones, but she refuses anything but her “34”. She just swallows it whole. Never seen anything like it. When you know what you like, yo know what yo like!

I have used this product for a long time and my cats really enjoy it and it certainly helps with hairballs. The problem I have is the bag closure. It does not hold up for long and will not re-seal after awhile. Consider replacing with the velcro closure that is on Hills Science Diet cat food. It works perfectly. Thank you.

His other food worked well but he just got sick of it. I tried this Hairball food and he LOVES it! He dove right in! The kibbles are a bit large and thought that would be a turn off but he doesn’t seem to mind at all! Seems to be working well for the hairballs as well. Still have a few but they are much smaller and less frequent than before.

I tried switching her food many times in the past hoping that it would help, but nothing ever did… until I switched her to RC’s hairball care diet. I usually buy Feline Health Nutrition Indoor Adult Cat Food for 2 of my cats and Veterinary Diet Urinary SO for my male oldest cat by Royal Canin. And of course, my oldest gets tired of eating Veterinary Diet. SO he sometimes sneaks by and eats the reg indoor food. Which in the end, he throws up. Since my cats are indoor. I thought I have them try Indoor Hairball Care, especially the oldest cat with longhair. And you know what, they love this food, and it really helps them. Even though it’s kinda pricey and the quantity is small. To make it last longer to feed all 3. What I do is mixed it with Indoor food & Indoor Hairball Care. It totally works. They love Royal Canin and so do I.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been feeding our cats ROYAL CANIN FELINE CARE NUTRITION HAIRBALL CARE dry cat food for about 2 years now; Princess Leia, a medium haired gray diva of 7 1/2 pounds who likes growling at and swatting boy cats in the butt, when she is not grooming or demanding to be petted, has had a significant decrease in vomiting. We only once in awhile hear that sound, you know, the one like a Japanese ghost in a horror film with Sarah Michelle Gellar, that, in an antipodean way, makes everyone in the house run toward it screaming, “Noooo!!!! Not on the couch!” Great food. we all love it.

My long-haired polydactyl cat Sylvie was a rescue with lots of problems including digestive problems exacerbated by her long hair—so we started her on RC Intense Hairball 34———-and wala—–she has been saved——no more hairballs (I do brush her everyday too) for my sweet girl-and she loves it more than her canned food-sometimes I even have to put a sprinkle of it on her food to get her to eat!
It is a wonderful food for her highness!!!

My cats love this food. My only complaint is the ziplock closure- on the last 4-5 bags the ziplock has torn so I have to fold the top down and clip it closed, compromising the freshness. The bigger bag is better value for your money but I wish the closure was better.

Cat coats come in different textures as well as lengths. One of mine with a short, coarse coat, had much trouble with hairballs. Royal Canin Indoor Intense Hairball 34 did the trick for her. The bonus was all six of our clowder love it and it works for all of them. I did a side by side with another top brand, which they also love, and they all chose the Royal Canin over it. Plus, the cat for whom I purchased it has a marked improvement in her coat after just one 3 pound bag. Expensive? Yes, and worth every penny because it improved ALL my cats’ health. Better health = fewer vet visits. They are now Royal Canin Cats!

To my surprise, this one he gobbled down. So I got a larger bag & read the reviews on Amazon. This cat throws his food up often, the vet said sensitive stomach. This food he can eat & keep it down most of the time. It is expensive compared to some other foods, but their fur is so soft & they seem so healthy so it’s worth it.

This Hairball Care formula has stopped his regurgitation all together (unless he sneaks outside and eats grass). This food quite literally saved my long hair cats life. He has always thrown up hair balls successfully with no issues. But just in the last year he passed one instead of throwing it up, which caused him great sickness for the few days before he passed it. We had no idea what it was at first. Then a few weeks ago we took him to the vet with fear of kidney failure or liver failure after he stopped eating and was severely lethargic for a few days, we were prepared for the worst since he is 18. However, an abdominal ultrasound and blood work all revealed he was very healthy for his aga! He came home (still sick but better after being on IV and anti nausea pills) and once again he passed a nasty hair ball. We had given him hair ball care food before, but had never seen this one. We immediately found it online and bought it and he has been continually passing small acceptable amounts of fur in his stools since eating it. This food helps push the fur through instead of it blocking him up, and he is acting like a kitten again! He was always very active and this food has helped him immensely – we are literally in shock how much it has helped him.

I had a ragdoll cat that was having constant hairballs and it was getting to the point where I was ready to throw in the towel after trying SO many different types of hairball remedies and foods, when I contacted my breeder who I purchased the cat from and she recommended Royal Canin. She said they are a little more high priced, but after you use it-you will understand why and just how worth it it really is. After 2weeks on the Royal Canin Intense Hairball dry food my cat has only had 3 hairballs in 2years! (Compared to at least 1-3 a week that was the norm for him) I was amazed and have been hooked on the brand ever since! I know also use the Royal Canin Ragdoll dry food as well! And recommended it to my friend who had a similar issue with her kitty! She is now also a believer! I wouldn’t waste my time with any other brand ever again! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been buying this food for several months now. This has cut down on the number of hairballs my cats leave for me. Once or twice a month instead of every week.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this trying to find hairball food that will work and stop the crying, and also something that they will eat finally would eat.

The only problem is that the price is gone up almost $10 since I started buying it, pretty soon I’ll be priced out of this product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our boys have been eating this formula for years. Two of our three American Shorthair cats love this dry food, and will get a hairball maybe once a year. The one who will not eat dry food has a couple of hairballs every week. All of our cats have moist food several times a day, but even with being “spoiled” with the moist food all day long, they still manage to go through a big soup bowl of Hairball Care dry food every couple of days. I would say, this product is a great success and they love it.

I bought this on the recommendation of my vet that I purchase a hair ball food for my cat. My cat’s are indoor cats so they need an indoor variety and this has both. It seems to keep; them healthy no more spit ups of hair balls

We bought this product on advice from our vet. Before we started using the hairball control, we would find them through out our home. Since we started it 2 1/2 months ago the hairballs have practically gone away.

My Newman is all fur. And he’s a constant licking machine, self cleaner. This is the only food I buy for him and it’s well worth it. It keeps him from having hairballs which means I can walk around my home anywhere, anytime and not have to worry about stepping in yuck.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Switched over to Royal Canin and it has made cat’s fur so soft and beautiful. Does a great job with hairball control. Worth the extra cost!

I bought this because my cat was spitting up and I thought she was ill. Come to find out she had hair balls and the vet recommended this. It did the trick. She hasn’t had hair balls since

As soon as I put this food in the bowl my cats were eating it!! They let me know when the bowl is empty. All five of them love this food, plus I haven’t seen any hairballs in a while. I’ve done my fair share of comparison shopping in the cat food department to finally find one that they all enjoy and actually works! It makes me happy knowing they’re getting good quality nutrition, with no hairballs to clean up!! Thank you!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been feeding my three kitties Royal Canin Hairball Care for 7 years. They are active, healthy, happy…and have beautiful coats to show.
I’ve been a huge fan of RC since feeding a prescription variety to my senior kitty in the last years of his life. I credit the food for keeping him healthy as long as possible.

Let m start by saying that I have been feeding my seven year old kitty the original Indoor Intense Hairball 34 for the past eight months. The original formula was wonderful. My kitty loved it and went from having constant hairballs, to having basically none. Unfortunately last week I purchased a bag of the new formula. Within two days of feeding it to my kitty he had a SEVERE allergic reaction. He was vomiting non stop every twenty minutes to the point I had to take him for an emergency visit with my vet who confirmed it was a severe allergic reaction. My kitty is an indoor kitty and the only change was the food. Please be careful when trying this new formula. Fortunately my sweet boy will be ok. I just hope no other kitties have to suffer like he did.
