I bought this last week to upgrade my beardie to a bigger tank and get the extra stuff. The sand is no where near enough for the tank. I recommend use repti-carpet. Also watch the light bulbs. After three days off use the light bulb stopped working and after I went to take it out the base had totally cracked off. Other than that it’s a great value for everything in it and a great upgrade kit for a beardie or other reptiles

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] All samples inside Terrarium are great with price. I definitely appreciate the magazine on things to buy for my beardie.

I bought this for my bearded dragon back in December as a tank upgrade. I’m now moving a Leopard Gecko into this tank.
Jack349 (verified owner) –
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a best zoomed tank I ever had I will always by zoomed products they stand behind there products
Faefyre (verified owner) –
I didn’t use half the things that came with this tank. Had to buy a new UVB full-length light because the light is insufficient through a screen, the thermometer sucks and sand is not a preferable substrate for ANY dragons. I found out later I could have saved money even at the sale price by just buying a plain 40 gallon breeder tank (you can get them for $40), a screen top, a full-length fluorescent for the UVB and a heat lamp at any farm or home store. Not really happy with the purchase but next time I will know. Research before you buy. BTW a 40 gal breeder tank is actually a 50 gal if full. Breeder tanks are never filled to capacity.

While this kit may seem perfect, it includes products that are NOT recommended for keeping a bearded dragon. I purchased this as a first-time beardie owner and ended up replacing EVERYTHING in the kit except the water dish. Let’s start from the top…
Brit23 (verified owner) –
It cracked as me and my husband were unloading it out of the truck into our home. It shouldn’t cracked that easily.
Mom of the year (verified owner) –
Better off to buy everything separately half the stuff it came with was either broken or not good for a bearded dragon. Very disappointing..
Ash402 (verified owner) –
I bought this to start a bearded dragon house. I knew the sand was trash but I thought i was getting the essentials. No it basically is a tank and the lights for 200$! Don’t waste your money!
hswangirl (verified owner) –
We got this for our son for Christmas so he could put his growing bearded dragon in it and we were able to set everything up that very day and transfer her into her new habitat!
NurseJackie (verified owner) –
The light bulb fixtures stopped working after 5 months and burnt out my bulbs that were pricey. The top screen broke after two months and the light fixture melted tge top. Buy a habitat with front opening doors verses top panels because things can fall and hurt your animals. It’s not safe.
Cfoxtrot (verified owner) –
Only bought this because it was the cheapest 40gallon tank in stock. Didn’t need any of the junk in it.
MaxJ (verified owner) –
We are unable to get the filter to work after the tank is cleaned. Waste of money. We are ending up replacing the items within the kit and spending more money to get the products that should have been part of the kit.
Lj1958 (verified owner) –
I bought this for my bearded dragon. It was a very good purchase
Homie Bearded Dragon (verified owner) –
Just purchased for our beardie as we just moved to a new home. Everything worked and looked great except the 2 bulbs +day and night heating bulbs) both didn’t work. Day heat bulb lit once then and just turned off. Red night light never turned on.

This cage has brought me nothing but problems. I bought this in December and by march my snake has escaped 4 times. It was cracked in all on the corners on the bottom, which I looked past. But the screen top is really what’s the problem. It it’s made from cheap material and super flimsy. I’m switching to a bin cage 100%. Safe your money and make the right decision.
Mommatoomajan (verified owner) –
So I bought this for my son to get a bearded dragon for Christmas. It was on sale so I hurried and bought it so were prepared… but I’m going to take it back and get a different kind that is a little more. So I’m taking it to get the tank that instead opens on the front and comes with different pieces inside so technically yes its a good deal good product I just want something different.
Bosslady619 (verified owner) –
Love it great roomy product for my beaded dragon. She loves it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So, I got this for christmas so I did not purchase this. However it is mine for my beardie.
First off: It started out by my Dad going home with it, taking a turn then one of the food bowls being misplaced and not where it should have been then falling and cracking the side.
We were quickly able to get a trade in and everything worked out fine. Thanks, petsupplycanada for being so cool about this.
Second off: THIS IS A STARTER. This will not be where the buying ends, you will not be able to use the sand if you are getting a small beardie. The sand is not healthy they can eat it and become impacted. This does not come with decorations for your terrarium, however it does come with
-Food/Water dish
-Screen lid and trappers
-Temp and humidity reader
-LED lights and and heat lamp duel holder
-One LED light and one heat light
-Food sampler amongst other things
-Calcium sand (should NOT be used)
ColdbloodedCreatures (verified owner) –
I purchased this a month ago and was glad I did, I typically never recommend kits as a worthwhile investment for any reptiles and pets but this one is decent for the price and what it contains. It is not a your last stop with owning a bearded dragon as they require a lot of things and are a long term commitment! Keep that in mind for anyone looking to own one of these reptiles, but with research and proper care they make awesome pets with personality. I recommend this kit to beginner beardie owners to experienced keepers. The only thing I do not recommend for both baby, juvenile, and adult beardies is the sand as substrate as it may possibly lead to impaction as well as respiratory issues. Every other product included I recommend and love. Like I said quality products as you’d expect from Zoo Med.
Chantal50 (verified owner) –
Great start. Did note that the food dish was quite big and overwhelming for my new beardie. Had to buy a smaller one. May bring back the larger dish later.
Mike b (verified owner) –
Bought this Saturday for my new musk turtle setup. Used the massive deep dome as my uvb dome with a tropical uvb bought separately and the uvb 10.0 desert that came with the setup. Just the dome and light that was included saved me over $100 and got a bunch of extras I could use for a future turtle tortoise set up and I could sell the rest. Also using the thermometer from it I use the food dishes for my Pac-Man frog cage also
SplashtheStingray (verified owner) –
Its a pretty good starter cage as long as you add branches and hides because this does not come with any. After a couple years, I’d recommend getting a 75 gal. front opening tank trust me it will make you and your bearded dragons life so much easier. As for the tank itself, its a very high quality tank and it it would perfect for an adult leopard gecko. All in all this is a very good base line yank as it comes with a bunch of essentials
Dimitri (verified owner) –
You’ll have to replace most of the items in this package. You’ll need a tube UVB light and light hood (that will cost you over $150 CAD extra) as well as a digital thermometer, I would say don’t bother with this kit, it just provides a bunch of sampler food
Guycation (verified owner) –
Just bought this today it was a return and missing so items. Still had the lamp two bulbs and water dish. Bought it for my python. Only cost 65 bucks. Was going to buy the exoterra but couldn’t resist this for the money heck the lamp costs 70 just by its self can’t wait to set it up when I get home
Julia9253 (verified owner) –
I bought this starter kit a couple of days ago, followed the directions on how to set the filter up and started to add water into the tank. While doing this I notice that the tank started to leak! I am so frustrated and the filter when turned on didn’t work. I thought this would be easier than buying everything separate but quality is key! Do not buy this item, now I have to drain it and lug this thing back to petsupplycanada!!!
Rossco35 (verified owner) –
So I bought this for my bearded dragon. Now I’ve had a leopard gecko and a crested geckos in thrive terrariums and they have excellent lids and I have two cats, both of which tend to try to hop on top of a lid. Well thrive terrariums. They hold up like champs but this is just embarrassing. I mean it’s worse than a cheap screen door material. Barely touching it. I mean, I’m surprised it holds anyways at all such as a lamp or anything. It’s just not made good. The rest of the system is great but the lid system needs to be much much improved
Amy345 (verified owner) –
There are more thing in this kit that you’ll have to replace than you can actually use. Most of the stuff in this tank is not good for bearded dragons. And to top it off, 2 weeks after buying this and replacing most of the stuff inside, the glass began to separate. I would not recommend buying this.
Cally_bud (verified owner) –
I bought this as a Christmas present for my son, so it’s technically not even set up yet. But it appears to have everything necessary to keep a pet Bearded Dragon. Just have to get the actual Beardy now
Tandy200 (verified owner) –
I like the tank but had to go buy the bulbs because the ones included did not worl.
Sam D 85 (verified owner) –
When I got this product home the tank had a huge chip in the back edge, was kind of disappointed
Beardiedad75 (verified owner) –
I have 6 of these tanks. I don’t care for some of the stuff it comes with and I don’t use certain things it comes with but I love the tank and how I can set it up very easily with the decor, food and water dishes. I’m actually going tomorrow or Wednesday to buy 2 more especially since their on sale. But great price for everything that comes with it. I wish I could just buy the tank by itself.
Not it (verified owner) –
This thing cracked second day of having it it wasn’t dropped or banged I simply grab the corners to probably position the tank against the wall and the whole side cracked I’m 5,2 and 127 pounds wet why is the glass so fragile
geppy19 (verified owner) –
Pros: Comes with almost everything you need to start caring for a bearded dragon. Cons: not durable at all. In less than 8 months, one of the door hinges broke. Can still make it work but have to be extremely careful when opening one of the doors now. I assume the top hinge on the same door will eventually break as well. For a couple hundred dollars, you would expect it to be a little more durable.
RichR (verified owner) –
The Reptile Habbiat all is a great set up but the lights that come with it dont last more than a couple days. The problem is they are reputable since they come in a kit
Kjvanny (verified owner) –
I bought this recently for my first young bearded dragon and had fun setting it up
Archerrose21 (verified owner) –
The tank itself is fine however the screen top is not very strong so if you have other pets that will say jump say a on the top of it, say about a 7 pound cat itwill break and they will fall through and kill your lizard like what happened to mine. So if you don’t have terrible cats go for but if you do you’re gonna wanna get something with a stronger lid
Britt07 (verified owner) –
I bought this terrarium thinking it would be the perfect tank for my bearded dragon, that for the money I was spending I wouldn’t have to worry about anything else. Well I was disappointed that it didn’t come with a rock or anything for him to bask.( my fault I should of read the box) well two days and the lights on top have melted the black plastic on the tank- TWO DAYS! Such a disappointment.
Stop the abuse (verified owner) –
This is a really helpful starter tank for those who wanna save some money. The only critique I would give is the sand and the dead bugs. Beardies dont normally eat dead, and sand can cause impaction. It also doubles as a great tank for hamsters!! Would be great it petsupplycanada promoted 40 gallons vs tiny cages for small animals
cmheart (verified owner) –
We weren’t sure where to put the lights or temp gauge. Did not come with any décor except for sand. So I will need to spend more money to get the bearded dragon something to climb on.
Anonymous (verified owner) –
This came with lots of things that are needed to care for your bearded dragon. One thing you might need to replace is the UVB light. Coiled UVB’s dont give the correct amount of artificial sunlight that should be given. Another thing is the Calcium Powder, it doesnt have vitamin D3 infused in it, but thats really easy to replace. Other than those two things the product is great, for the amount you pay for it.
Justins (verified owner) –
We bought the 40 gallon breaded dragon starter kit tank. The sand it came with killed the bearded dragon. I would piece together my own kit if I could go back.
Asoto93 (verified owner) –
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the tank and the only good thing that came out of it was the lights and the accessories. The tank itself had glass chips in it. The top where the wire top is so cheap and thin, just flimsy and literally came unglued the same night I assembled it and the following day was already looking for a new tank. I wouldn’t waste my money again. Not trying to be rude or negative but when your spending over $200 on a tank it should be quality especially for the brand.
dragonnutt (verified owner) –
I turn to Zoo Med for their light fixtures only. Sand is a poor choice for reptiles, and the included bag should be thrown away immediately. Zoo Med reptile tanks, including all of their kits, consistently have the same problem with paper-thin lids. I bought my first Zoo Med tank home, opened it up in the living room, walked away for a moment, and heard a crash; my cat had stepped on the lid, and the mesh had broken apart. Perhaps those without mischievous pets will have better luck with these tank lids, but they are clearly not for me. In my opinion, your money is better spent on a Thrive kit instead.
Getz2oo3 (verified owner) –
So I recently purchased this to house my 2nd baby dragon. And this starter kit is exactly that, a starter kit. This is not a one-stop setup. That said,

So I wanted to get my baby bearded dragon a 40 gallon front opening tank as it’s less stressful for them but the stock options were limited at the time and I had to upgrade and petsupplycanada is the only place open when I finish work so I had no choice but to get a tank not well suited for my beardie, thankfully a wonderful associate told me if I had all the original packaging I could exchange it for the one I actually wanted/needed, but because I already had set up and acclimated that tank, so that unfortunately wasn’t an option. Also this mesh on the top is very weak compared to the smaller tank he started in and the mesh broke almost immediately after set up, regardless, I wasted 300+$ on a tank that’s already broken and not well suited for my beardie… I know it’s not the associates fault AT ALL the tank I needed wasn’t in stock but now I’m stuck with a tank that stresses my baby beardie out because it’s only top opening and I have to MacGyver something on top so the uvb/basking bulb(daytime) &ceramic bulb(overnight) doesn’t fall through the top mesh and possibly hurt my buddy. I hope someone reads this and can actually help me figure something out because this was the only time I’ve ever been upset with stock options(NEVER THE ASSOCIATES as they are always so nice, helpful and friendly) and I have three rescue cats who I get their food, treats and play things at petsupplycanada only(which to mention the cat options are extremely limited compared to the dog options) but regardless I like going to the fairway petsupplycanada because all the associates are super friendly and helpful, I completely understand it’s not their fault stock is limited or out. Thank you for reading my story I hope you have a great day.:)

I spoke with multiple employees at petsupplycanada about having found a red eared slider about the size of my hand, (never have I ever taken care of any reptile) and was letting them know I wanted to purchase a tank large enough for it. They recommended me this tank, and after having everything set up and doing more research I see they have bigger tanks for about the same prices. What your paying for with this is the individual items inside of it at full price. This is definitely not worth your money, it’s like a PC, much cheaper to build yourself but takes more time to find parts, luckily petsupplycanada should have all your needs. I ended up spending a bit over $300 as I needed decorations and such but now I am not happy with the size of the tank. I will be purchasing a 75-100 gallon tank for the much deserved champ (watsi)
And I’ll most likely use the 40 gallon tank for some other projects 🙂

I’m buying this and looks good like gates matseratto’s hair
Shorts1975 (verified owner) –
I bought this during the sale and saved over $90 dollars on it. Even at normal pricing with the lights and everything included, it’s a steal of a deal. My dragon Ripley loves her new enclosure. It makes it easy to keep her happy and warm in her new home without breaking the bank.
Pippin19982016 (verified owner) –
Nothing in this kit is good for bearded dragons. We bought this kit 3 weeks ago and have had to replace EVERYTHING in it. It would be cheaper to do the research and buy everything seperate to make sure your Dragon is healthy.
Disappointed13yrld (verified owner) –
Do not Buy! I had only had it for less than a year and it is already completely fell apart. The screen top had came apart. The light fixture broke in less than 3 months. It is terrible quality. Would never suggest this to anyone. Also the wire for the light fixture had also melted. So disappointed! I spent literally spent all the money I have saved to buy this. I am only 13 but I know a terrible tank when I see one.
Poopoopeepeenose (verified owner) –
PLEASE TO GOD NO SAND! It will clog your beardie’s femoral pores. They can also get impactions, which in most cases, untreated, causes death. NEVER get sand for your beardie PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE THANK YOU
Gamecock4218 (verified owner) –
Your dragon will outgrow this quickly, the uvb is not good enough for them, the food and water dishes are to big for babies, wish I could take back!!
KLewy (verified owner) –
As great as the tank is almost all the stuff inside is completely useless to bearded dragons and anyone who actually looks into and researches about their dragon would know that. Very disappointed. Kept the tank and sold the rest
Jenh822 (verified owner) –
Please do a lot of research about the proper care for a bearded dragon. Most of the items in this kit shouldn’t be used.
No sand
The lighting isn’t the correct lighting you need to use.
izzy34 (verified owner) –
it is a good size for a smaller bearded dragon but my aunts son bought this thinking that it is a good size but the video for how to set it up,the bearded dragon has no place to run around and it is to much of a tight space
BeardieTips (verified owner) –
I haven’t bought this yet but I definitely know adult bearded dragons cannot live in 40 gallon tank they have to live in a 100 or 120 gallon tank adult beardie’s need enough space to move around exercise.
Amanda827 (verified owner) –
The tank is fine. The items it comes with are okay. But the lid is cheap and caves in very easily.
Overpriced and incorrect (verified owner) –
As far as the actual enclosure-not too bad. The items in it though are not correct at all for a bearded dragon (maybe the water bowl) and so it makes it very overpriced. I am apparently going to have to get a much larger set-up for my lizard and had to throw out just about everything. I wish the manufacturer would do some research
AnnHull (verified owner) –
I purchased this for a baby dragon and several hours after putting into his new home he stopped eating, stopped running around and was very lethargic. After a week of thinking he was just adjusting to his new home, I decided to try and change out the lights to a different UVB light. Within two hours, he’s eaten, running around and is obviously feeling good! If you are setting up a terrarium for a bearded dragon, this brand of tank is good, but do not purchase this kit. Buy the lights separately – you need some sort of UVB tube lighting rated either T8 or T5 and 10.0 strength.
TLOB (verified owner) –
This is a present for my son and it’s a great size and price. Comes with many necessary supplies!
Asher2007 (verified owner) –
Fine enough set up for a bearded dragon. I just adopted a six year old bearded dragon from a family, and he is happy and healthy. (Apart from him being a bit chubby, lol)
You could certainly do better in terms of size and uvb lighting, but my reptile is perfectly healthy despite the smaller size and weak uvb.
I’d say that it’s a bit expensive for what it is, but it’s nice to have it all it one kit.
In short, my bearded dragon has survived in this for six years without health problems. I am planning to get him a bigger tank and maybe a new uvb bulb, but I’m not in a rush. He’s seemly happy with this product.

Bought this maybe 2 weeks ago? Top screen came broken, has gotten so much worse. Leaves screen pieces all over inside of tank. Lightbulbs it came with, died 2 & 3 days after getting them so I had to drop another bunch of money on those.
cass2610 (verified owner) –
i think this is a good kit but one thing i want to point out is DO NOT USE THE SAND it can cause compaction if they accidently eat some and they dont live in a sandy desert like the petsupplycanada explains they live in more of a clay desert
AngelB06 (verified owner) –
Got this kit on sale for $169 recently. I’m not really sure why Zoo Med set this kit up the way they did.
I decided on this kit because we figured with the price of the tank itself and the lighting hardware included it was worth the money but I advise you will end up replacing a lot of what is included which mans more money being spent. If you can, just buy everything separately; I wish I had.
For a 40 gallon they should have included a tube UVB, the UVB this comes with DOES NOT reach the entirety of the tank.
Also it did come with Juvenile food and sand for the substrate. You should NOT use sand for a Juvie, so the combination of those 2 together was a bit confusing.
I do however want to say that just about everything Zoo Med makes is very good quality.
3 stars total, 1 star for it being a bad combo all round, but high quality products.
Em8m (verified owner) –
This kit is absolutely pointless. The sand isn’t a great substrate, especially if you have a juvenile who will be growing into the cage, the compact uvb bulb it comes with i not enough for bearded dragons (you need a tube light to get enough UV), the food is not the correct food for bearded dragons so not useable. The only thing I could use was to get tank and the bowl and would have to separately repurchase everything else. Ended up returning it and buying everything needed for the baby separately. Would not recommend and felt it was a waste of money.
luger22 (verified owner) –
I bought this for my bearded dragon a month ago and it is still holding up pretty well but be careful i would not reccommend the sand it can cause impaction on bearded dragons espesially when babies when they are older they are calmer and you might be able to use it then
Meeka (verified owner) –
I bought it about 2 weeks ago and my daughter immediately put it all together. It’s a great starter kit, although, more sand will need to be purchased to fill the tank as needed.
Jason1260 (verified owner) –
This is an all around too small of a tank to keep a bearded dragon in. The packaging makes it seem like you can keep your dragon in this tank his whole life and this is all you need. I bought this then two weeks later after doing research I ordered a zen habitats 4x2x2.
Beardielover2 (verified owner) –
I bought this for my bearded dragon in August, and it is a great tank! It’s quite large and he seemed to love it and everything that was included. However It doesnt come with anything for him to climb on or hide in so I had to purchase a log for him to hid and climb on. I don’t would not recommend this to anyone who has a cat. The mesh cage on the top is easy for them to break into and resulted in my cat killing my dragon. Other than that this tank was amazing and I would recommend purchasing it for your beardie.
BigAl850 (verified owner) –
I was given this with my bearded dragon. After visting the vet, I have come to find Sand is a BIG NO! It can impact your dragon if they accidentally eat it. The basking light and/uv is not proper. Also, opening from the top is frightening for dragons, not to mention can be a hassle for some.
frankie70 (verified owner) –
We chose this model because it came with almost everything needed for our new addition Ravioli the Breaded Dragon. Our elevn year old is so in love with him.
DepressedVetran (verified owner) –
I bought this LAST NIGHT! Cat sat on top of it and the screen ripped out and the she ate my baby beardie!! I would give this ZERO STARS if I could! Now I’m out hundreds of dollars and depressed as heck because of this product! I’m a disabled vet on a fixed income (so the money is a big hurt) not to mention Charmeleon got eaten!!!
Chris619 (verified owner) –
Seriously just bought this to upgrade my Bearded Lizard from a Zilla Brand 20 gallon tank. This one came with a very cheap mesh type lid and my cat immediately broke it. She jumped on top and fell right in. Lucky I was in the room. The lid is super cheap and has wires sticking out that I needed to cut when I first set it up. I will now need a replacement. Didn’t know it came worh such a cheap lid.
Love367 (verified owner) –
I bought this eight months ago and the glass cracked but a while ago the heat lamp Melted the edge of the plastic rim on the tank not a big problem but doesn’t look great as a person with high standards for my friends whenever they come over I can’t have people over anymore because I feel ashamed of the crack in my tank and now I have to get a new tank even though no glass fell into the tank still just ashamed
Jaz619 (verified owner) –
Has all the items needed to get your pet situated, only thing missing which I wish it included like other brands, is piece of wood for the dragon to bask in, other than that, pretty good !
Adam54 (verified owner) –
Most items in here are useless and can’t work for a Bearded Dragon. The coil UVB is useless, you will end up throwing most of this away. I only bought this for the tank.
missmonami (verified owner) –
We have had it for a week, cracked each time and it hasn’t been touched other than normal handling. Such a cheaply made tank. We have had to get two in ONE week and will be returning this one.

Dose it come with a breaded dragon or do I have to buy one?
LinaM (verified owner) –
I bought this tank kit for our first bearded dragon a couple of months ago. It’s a nice starter tank for a baby or juvenile beardie, but I soon learned that I had to buy lots of additional things. You should not use the sand that comes in the kit, especially if it’s for a young beardie. My beardie didn’t like the food samples and they should be fed live feeders and fresh salads anyway. The UVB that comes with the kit is NOT sufficient so I switched to a hood with a UVB tube. The basking light has been perfect though. You also want to add a digital thermometer as they are more reliable. The temperatures, humidity and UVB need to be spot on if you want your beardie to thrive. The tank lid is convenient and slides in and out easily to access the tank. Overall nice starter tank but you will need to add serveral things to make it perfect.
me is cool (verified owner) –
i’m glad that i. the video it says audiotapes need a minimum of 40 gallons, many beardi owners will buy 20 gallons because it it’s cheaper but it is a big difference for how long your beardi will live

We have had this reptihabitat for a year now, and it has worked well, easy to clean and maintained. I think my turtle loves it.
medequip (verified owner) –
I bought this because I didn’t know squat about bearded dragons and figured an all-in-one set up was what I needed. The main 2 problems are the access to the inside and the UVB lamp that come with it. First off, you can only access the inside of the tank from above. But when you’re trying to take your beardy out it would be much, much easier with a front opening tank. Second, the UVB lamp that comes with it is not sufficient for a healthy bearded dragon. I had to purchase a separate long tube UVB lamp and housing because my beardy wasn’t getting the right amount of UVB. He was lethargic and not eating — it can be dangerous to their health if they don’t get the right amount of UVB light. Lesson learned! I should have done more homework before buying this.
mrjonesy03 (verified owner) –
I bought this a month ago thinking it was a good choice for a new bearded dragon. Unfortunately the kit includes sand which isn’t appropriate for juveniles. The food dish is also too deep for juveniles. The lighting caused the biggest problem. Bearded Dragons are supposed to have a basking bulbs and a T5 light for the day and a ceramic heater at night (if you live in cold climate). The kit comes with a basking bulbs but not the T5 or ceramic heater. The night bulb is not usable as it emits light. Please don’t purchase this tank. It was a waste of money.

This is legit filled with trash you won’t need and that can be harmful too. The coil uvb bulb won’t give proper uvb and can harm your beardie. Check Elle’s reptiles vids on how to take care of these critters.

I have had this for 6 months and its pretty good, comes with all the stuff you need for a beardie. One thing though, I didn’t use the reptisand because I did research and alot of people have said sand isn’t good for beardies especially babies, so I opted not to use it.(You should do your own research on it and see what you think though) Another thing is although this cage is great, it’s only good for a while until the bearded dragon gets too big for it and you may need to purchase a bigger tank. (75 gallon would be great; also do research as to why)

The items this kit comes with are not the correct items for a bearded dragon.
Items you don’t need:
Incorrect uvb bulb
Double dome fixture
Sand
Dual Thermometer & Humidity Gauge
The food samples

At first I was very happy with my starter kit. First day, the light fixture had a short. A few months down the road and the grooves where the screen slides in, yeah cheap and breaking. Will they replace or fix it? NOPE! Very cheaply made products, I would advise a different brand!

Bought this kit and only after I set it up, I slid the screens on and found the top frame to be broken and the glue not sticking to the sides of the glass. When I looked closer I see hairline cracks on all 4 corners of the tank. Very cheaply made! Save yourself the headache and keep looking, not worth them money.

Bought this for my child for Christmas for a bearded dragon that he wants . Opening and setting up today only to find the left side of the track for the screen top separated . Also the top rim for the screen top is only on two sides and back no big deal as it’s for a bearded dragon but figured I’d put that out there . Luckily a friend of mine works in automotive glass and came over with urethane to re secure . I Would return and get new but have to get it set up for the dragon coming 1/4/25 as he is to way 2 excited that I will let this issue get in the way of that .. shame on you petsupplycanada for accepting this . I will say Could be workmanship from zoo med or handling issues as it was covered under the edge of the cardboard trim
