Yeah bought this two weeks ago and it works for what my Eastern box turtle needs but I would say the overall quality is lacking it doesn’t feel durable and the sealer around the bottom wasn’t put in very smoothly or consistently

It has a big enough surface area for my tortoise to walk around. I had to use both the lamp and the heating pad for my baby because the lamp is so far from the surface. The water bowl is great when my tortoise gets a little bit bigger. The soil is great! My tortoise loves digging and hiding in it!!

Main reason I’m giving 5 stars is because I got it on sale for 114.99 so it was a great deal for me. I upgraded the thermometers and light bulb the sticky mat kinda sucks and had to tape it down because it kept falling off. But overall for the price I paid my banana enchi loves it!

I can’t even begin to say how much I loved and still love this kit. To begin though I should say it does NOT come with 100% of everything you’ll need but it comes with ,at the very least the essentials, just to start off. My ball python has loved this tank since the day I put her in it. Now heat does stay up very well in this tank and it allows a hot and cold side to be very easily achieved. I would recommend investing in a humidifier to achieve a good humidity if you don’t have the time to spray the enclosure down at least once a day. The lid does have open ports to allow for cords to run out which is an awesome and I didn’t find out about them until yesterday when I was setting up my other enclosure because I did not read the instructions I’ll be completely honest.

Bought this a few weeks ago when I got my Ball Python and it is a perfect set up. For a python, they need a lot of hides, so I had to get another cave and some plants and things. The only negative thing I would say is when I take the cover off, it’s so large and kind of clumsy to maneuver. The top screen part is metal and heavier than the plastic frame, so it’s pretty sketchy to take the top off.

Bought this for my ball python. Set up went fine. Kit “appeared” to have everything required HOWEVER the open screen top makes it nearly impossible to control humidity and the heating pad stuck for a while then started g off of the glass. Hygrometer does the same thing. Constantly have to replace the sticky pad to keep it on the side of the tank. So overall I’d say this kit looks good on paper but the design is lacking and key requirements for my snake are not met without modifications. Disappointing.

I bought this three months ago and I was happy at first. The paint at the bottom of the bowl has been chipping off and floating in the water. Also the light has burned out. everything else is good though. The locks are very sturdy.

I bought this tank after a friend of mine recommended it.. it was hard to find everyone was out of it.. I found one in New castle Pa paid for it and picked up next day an hour drive but worth it.. the only problems I have is the substrate isn’t good for a Ball Python.. second the heat lamp bulb didn’t work.. so now I need to buy a new one…already bought the right substrate.. all in all well worth it for any reptile tank and more.

The tank itself is very large and has a great quality top that locks! The top is high quality metal and not like screen door material. This set also comes with heat lamps, bedding, thermometers, and a tunnel. My turtle loves hiding under the tunnel and sitting on top basking in the heat. I highly recommend this for anyone with a reptile! I also think you could use this for raising monarch butterflies; the top is perfect for forming chrysalis!

I definitely think if you had to buy all the products separately, you would spend much more than the kit. If you were getting a new friend all you would need would be food and the pet!

Recently purchased as upgrade from a 20gal tank. The tank appears to be well made, secure lid offers heavier duty screen than our original tank. Locking system on lid also appears to be very secure. Included with tank was a large hide, large water dish and two temp gauges. Also included but not being used currently are a large heat lamp that our space could not accommodate, as well as a large bag of substrate we will use later.
Very happy with our upgrade— of all tanks previewed online or in person, this one had the best look, plus the sale price for such a nice looking product was fantastic! Our snake has much more space!

The tank and accessories are a great starter. The only problem I had was with the hide. The inside had a few places where the plastic material had hard spikes, definitely sharp enough to cut a snake. Needless to say, I did not use the hide that came with this kit.

I just bought this tank a few days ago after reading reviews on the Desert Tank stating that the top is sturdy enough for a cat to lay on. Only downside to it so far from what I can tell is that they use some super sticky gel-tape-type-stuff to hold stuff to the glass and it’s a pain to remove without chemicals.

Easy to put together, solid quality, the only “issue” is the feeding flap on the ceiling is fairly flimsy. With a full sized ball python I don’t feel comfortable with it’s a ability to prevent her from escaping so I keep it weighed down with a paper weight

Large Tank with plenty of room. Heating pad only burns snake if you stick it directly to the glass advice putting non flammable surface under neat heating pad and lay tank over without heating pad touching. Never gets over 85°

I really wish they would upgrade these kits! Almost everything in there is horrible or useless! The UBV bulb is not correct, doesn’t give off the proper UBV at all! The carpets you can’t clean/disinfect so toss that out! The gages in there are garbage! They are 15-20 degrees off (get digital ones) Build a kit that gives the animal proper living conditions ! Don’t waste your money!

We had bought this tank to accommodate a juvenile milk snake (1 year old). After a few days, I noticed the snake wasn’t in the tank, I thought I must have left the locks off and quickly found the snake. Two weeks went by I noticed the snake escaped again, and after the last time, I was sure I had the tank locked. So I baby-proofed the lid with adhesive latches and thought that would be the end of it. The snake escaped again and was missing for two weeks. I recently found the snake and have placed it back in the enclosure, and have proceeded to tape the lid down. I am now looking for a front-opening tank for my snake as I feel it is only a matter of time before my snake escapes from this one again. This tank may be okay for something like a leopard gecko but I don’t think it will contain any snake for long.

This 40gallon kit came with almost everything we needed for our water dragon… we live in Delaware so we cant have a snake without a permit and our turtle loves his pond too much to move to the tank. Came with the coconut fiber bedding which is safe for your pet if they accidentally ingest it a large pool and a climbing/hiding rock. The dome and heating bulb are great we upgraded to a UV/ heat bulb. 2 temp/humidity and a heating mat, ours on side as opposed to underneath. We added a few plants and waterfall by the same company and Walter the water dragon is a happy camper! Thank you Thrive, petsupplycanada, & Influenster for our complimentary new addition!

This says it’s everything you’ll need. It is most definitely not! The heat pad requires a thermostat so it doesn’t burn your snake when the temps rise above 125 degrees. The hygrometers included are worthless, you’ll need to buy more accurate ones. Those two items will run you $50-$75 on top of the cost for this tank kit. Buy it app separate! I didn’t save money buying it.

This is a great starter tank for my ball python. the lid locks on, I like the little access door. However not even a week in and the paint is coming off inside the bottom of the water bowl. the stick on thermometers can be dangers to you snake or reptiles if they fall off and the super sticky part somehow adheres to your snake and also heating mats are a personal preference but can cause burns if not installed properly. To me everything was useful except the heating mat and thermometers and now the water dish. Also please dont think that this is all you need for a ball python. youre also going to need a ceramic heat emitter bulb and another dome and a thermostat controller to run it to keep your temp at a steady #.
