It is easy for me to lift and therefore easy for me to move around to the desired area. It’s tall enough to keep my large breed shepherd dogs in an area I want them to stay in. It also works great for toddlers :). Putting it together was so simple too. I also think the gate looks very nice and looks like it’s decor/part of the home. I LOVE how it is free standing so I don’t need to attach it to walls to use. Great gate!!

This gate comes almost 100% assembled (only need to add legs and/or tension bars), and is usable approximately five minutes after opening. The gate stands ~29″ high which should contain most pets, and extends from ~43″ to ~72″ wide leaving you with a lot of options for different doorways and entries to position this in. If you have a pet that likes to push gates around, the tension rods allow for more security. To extend you simply pull the pegs outward and twist, and once you reach your desired width you twist them back into the peg hole. Also, compared to unsightly plastic gates, this wooden gate acts as more of a piece of furniture that blends well with most home design.

Let’s start off with how easy it is to setup, no tools required except the included allen key wrench which is required to install and uninstall the four small bolts for the legs. There are extra wall jam bolts which are not a permanent part of the gate , I wish they were they essentially just sit in the slot/hole and pressure keeps them installed. There are squeeze bolts for top and bottom but the bottom holes are covered by the legs you must remove them if you want the squeeze bolts on the bottom which could have been avoided by simply predrilling a third hole but that might have affected the strength. Perfect height for me I just step right over it versus opening or moving if you have tall dogs or dogs that jump on fences this isn’t the product for you it’s better in an environment with pets trained not to jump on it. Stands on its own perfectly. Its clean and sleek design works well with any decor. I recommend this product to keep pets where you want them safely.

I loved how it pretty much came assembled out the box. It’s well made and seems like it would hold up a long time, my dog even stood up on it a few times with her claws and I do not see any scratches. The main issue is actually putting it up. The legs on the sides to hold it against the wall do not screw in but just slide in then you use the black things to adjust. The issue with this is you pretty much need to know how long you need it then make sure the latches have holes in that setting to be able to lock it. The other issue is the locks where they can be difficult to pop out and pop back in. Even with these issues I do still like it as it has more pros.

Right when you grab this gate from the box, it was super easy to install. It came with the necessary tools, and you can adjust the length of your gate by pulling the tabs and locking them in place. I highly recommend this gate if you have trouble trusting your dog from wandering around and getting into trouble.

I am pleased with the adjustable width. The sliding mechanism is overall smooth and not too difficult. The white wood frame look is modern and fits in my place well. The two standing feet are reasonably stable. My only complaint is the wood being cheap and soft. The wood came cracked where the screws are at. I don’t know how long this gate will last because the wood is not of high quality.

The white wood looks really nice in person, so it’s not nearly as much of an eyesore when left out like our old plastic one. This is wider than your typical doorway (at its smallest, but also extends) so it works great for larger room entrances or hallways. The best part about this is the standing legs (optional to attach), so I can really put this anywhere! It’s a little bit heavy, but I think that attests to its sturdiness.
The first one I received did have an issue/defect with one hole missing its threading, so the screw would not go in to attach one of the legs. petsupplycanada was super nice and did an even exchange for me to swap it out with a new one!

It adjusts wide enough to fit our larger opening. I chose to use the tension rods on all 4 corners. But it can be used without them as well. I appreciate the small openings as child gates openings were too large and my puppies could fit between them. This was perfectly designed for small pets. This gate comes almost 100% assembled (only need to add legs and/or tension bars), and is usable approximately five minutes after opening. The gate stands ~29″ high which should contain most pets, and extends from ~43″ to ~72″ wide leaving you with a lot of options for different doorways and entries to position this in. If you have a pet that likes to push gates around, the tension rods allow for more security. To extend you simply pull the pegs outward and twist, and once you reach your desired width you twist them back into the peg hole. Also, compared to unsightly plastic gates, this wooden gate acts as more of a piece of furniture that blends well with most home design.

I can honestly say it has a good weight to it I was also glad it can be used just as a self standing gate. Let’s start off with how easy it is to setup, no tools required except the included allen key wrench which is required to install and uninstall the four small bolts for the legs. There are extra wall jam bolts which are not a permanent part of the gate , I wish they were they essentially just sit in the slot/hole and pressure keeps them installed. There are squeeze bolts for top and bottom but the bottom holes are covered by the legs you must remove them if you want the squeeze bolts on the bottom which could have been avoided by simply predrilling a third hole but that might have affected the strength. Perfect height for me I just step right over it versus opening or moving if you have tall dogs or dogs that jump on fences this isn’t the product for you it’s better in an environment with pets trained not to jump on it. Stands on its own perfectly. Its clean and sleek design works well with any decor. I recommend this product to keep pets where you want them safely.

I loved how it pretty much came assembled out the box. It’s well made and seems like it would hold up a long time, my dog even stood up on it a few times with her claws and I do not see any scratches. The main issue is actually putting it up. The legs on the sides to hold it against the wall do not screw in but just slide in then you use the black things to adjust. The issue with this is you pretty much need to know how long you need it then make sure the latches have holes in that setting to be able to lock it. The other issue is the locks where they can be difficult to pop out and pop back in. Even with these issues I do still like it as it has more pros.

Right when you grab this gate from the box, it was super easy to install. It came with the necessary tools, and you can adjust the length of your gate by pulling the tabs and locking them in place. No drilling into the walls, and there are adjusters that hold this product still. This product keeps the dogs out from where you don’t want them to go. This Top Paw Free-Standing High Adjustable Pet Gate is 42.5-71.5 in W x 28.5 in H. I have a medium dog so this height is enough since she doesn’t tend to jump the fence. I am pleased with the adjustable width. The sliding mechanism is overall smooth and not too difficult. The white wood frame look is modern and fits in my place well. The two standing feet are reasonably stable. My only complaint is the wood being cheap and soft. The wood came cracked where the screws are at. I don’t know how long this gate will last because the wood is not of high quality.

The white wood looks really nice in person, so it’s not nearly as much of an eyesore when left out like our old plastic one. This is wider than your typical doorway (at its smallest, but also extends) so it works great for larger room entrances or hallways. The best part about this is the standing legs (optional to attach), so I can really put this anywhere! It’s a little bit heavy, but I think that attests to its sturdiness.
The first one I received did have an issue/defect with one hole missing its threading, so the screw would not go in to attach one of the legs. petsupplycanada was super nice and did an even exchange for me to swap it out with a new one!

It adjusts wide enough to fit our larger opening. I chose to use the tension rods on all 4 corners. But it can be used without them as well. I appreciate the small openings as child gates openings were too large and my puppies could fit between them. This was perfectly designed for small pets. It wouldn’t work well for climbers or jumpers, but works great for our little puppies.
