We bought this over a month ago to crate train our Cockapoo and have been very pleased with it. She is now 4 months old and absolutely loves to chew on everything, but not the crate. She sleeps through the night in it and we unzip the top twice a day with not issues. She is now about 70% grown and I’m sure we’ll need a bigger one and I won’t hesitate to buy another one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had a good experience with this dog kennel. It was very easy to set up and take down. I was worried at first with it being a canvas material and thought my dog would claw or chew through it but it has been great. My dog likes to go in it and it doesn’t make noise when my dog moves around like the metal kennels do. I like how the zipper locks too so it helps insure that my dog doesn’t get out.
rhonda54 (verified owner) –
Our 9-pound yorkie poo has escaped from it twice. He simply works the zipper until it gives way. The zipper looks sturdy but it isn’t. I wished I could return it.
MFJS (verified owner) –
I really had hopes for this crate. I love all the mesh windows. I love how lightweight and portable it is. I love that there’s a zipper over the top for setting her down inside the crate, and yet she can still walk in and out of the front. It worked great for a few weeks, but one night while we were at dinner, she decided to make a jail break. She clawed and scratched her way right out the front mesh window. I really had hopes for this thing. I guess we’re going to have to go back to a metal crate.
Bear12001 (verified owner) –
I got a new puppy and needed to give him a secure place to sleep during the night as well as when I went out. I liked it so much I bought another fo the main floor. He is comfortable and willing to go into the crate and with three doors, I can either secure it for the night or just use it as a box for daytime sleeping.
Triing (verified owner) –
Was looking for a carrier to put both of our cats in for long trips. They both fit fine in it with enough room to move around in. The ventilated sides and top allowed our cats to look out and to get air ventilation inside. We were extremely pleased with it. This was so much better than the little cubicles where our cats were claustrophobic in (two smaller carriers for two cats). It folds up very well taking up little space. I will say that assembling and then folding it up took a couple attempts at doing so.
Elizabethd1 (verified owner) –
I bought this crate 3 days ago for my 6 pound teacup maltipoo, and he already chewed a hole through the front. This crate does not hold up. Spend the extra money and buy a hard shell crate.
Romeo22 (verified owner) –
DO NOT BUY!!!! Unless you have a tiny dog who would never try to break out. The door completely zips off, clearly meant to be replaced if needed, but they won’t sell replacements. After a few hours, my drugged(after surgery) dog went through it, so now its worthless. $129 down the drain.
Hottieabba (verified owner) –
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The quality of this crate is excellent. It collapses flat for easy transport or storage. Assembles in seconds. It has 2 zippered windows on the sides. And a zippered top. It even has a little clear pouch for pet id or small items. It is roomy! I have a 20lb poodle mix (clothing size small) and it is plenty of room for her. I expect it to last for many years. Highly recommended! I did order online and picked it up. Very fast. Pup and I are happy!
Patti262 (verified owner) –
I have bought 3 of these soft crates as my German shepherd puppy grew. I use it for feeding , time out “reset” time and she LOVES hanging out in it. It’s also super easy to collapse and take in the road .
SirWiggleButt (verified owner) –
Over all this crate was great. However if you have a pit I don’t not recommend it. Our 9 month hold figured out how to pop the zippers to be able to get out with in a few minutes of putting in it.
Lyra (verified owner) –
I was clearly not thinking when I purchased this item. I thought it would be a great idea to travel withas it collapses and doesn’t take up much room in the vehicle. My Shepherd tore it apart in 10 minutes. As I said….. I clearly wasn’t thinking. Overall, it’s a great product
Bobert (verified owner) –
I bought this to be used as a travel crate while taking my dog out and about. I wanted something that was easily assembled and dis-assembled. My dog accepted this crate readily and seems to be very comfortable with it.
sheeplover (verified owner) –
I got a puppy a little over a month ago along with a Kong crate. The Kong crate can be folded up for transport, but I needed something easier and faster for travel to visit family. This crate has checked the boxes. It is super fast and simple to put up and take down. It stores well and is much more lightweight than a traditional metal crate. The reason I am giving four stars is because it is not very durable and shortly after purchase there have been fraying strings here and there. It does the intended job and makes my life easier, so overall I am happy with my purchase and would recommend for others in need of a quick easy travel crate.
Abeer (verified owner) –
Great for my new puppy. Can unzip 3 sides and multiple sides with a view.
Dog lady 42 (verified owner) –
I bought this for travel and love it. Light weight and easy to take with you. Very durable.
chris8484 (verified owner) –
there is a 20 minute gap between when my wife goes to work and when i get home. this is the only time my dog is ever alone. bought this crate to help with her separation anxiety. it lasted 4 minutes. it is destroyed.
LJai23 (verified owner) –
I bought this portable crate for my puppy and it has helped me with training her to go into her main crate. It’s easy to move because it folds up. It’s worth the money.
Savannah 24 (verified owner) –
The second time we used this our 17 pound terrier/dachshund just tore the mesh door apart, we were very disappointed init
West78 (verified owner) –
I bought this and tried to return it, and they wouldn’t take it back.
It was easy to set up, and nice to look at, but no a great kennel if you have a smart pup.
Yogi26 (verified owner) –
This soft crate is great! I have 36 pound Aussie mix and he loved it as soon as we set it up! Pops up easily and takedown is a breeze. He is a well mannered, non chewing rescue and this crate works well for us. We noticed he preferred dark places over his other large wire crate. We got this one because it was smaller, portable, travel friendly and DARK! He sleeps so well in it, he snores!
HappyBaby3 (verified owner) –
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My little dog really needed this. I wish that he had it sooner. It’s made well. It’s sturdy. It’s the prefect size. And he loves it too. It’s a quality product. I highly recommend this product to everyone.
crandolph (verified owner) –
We tried to use this crate to prevent our anxious dog from injuring himself in his old metal crate. However, after 4 days of use, our dog clawed through the front mesh piece and ripped a big hole in it, making it completely unusable.
Susans6beagles (verified owner) –
Bought this on the way to a dog show. A little unwieldy to set up at first but then I got the hang of it.
Xopi (verified owner) –
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The portable dog crate is perfect for travel. I couldn’t believe how light weight this crate is! It’s a very sturdy material and tough enough for my medium sized pup. It’s the perfect size and so spacious and comfortable for her.
Lucky632023 (verified owner) –
We bought this for our new puppy. We were not sure if this would satisfy our need , but he sleeps in this crate every night. We also use it in the car to keep our puppy safe.
More12 (verified owner) –
Very nice , beautiful desing! My dog love it, she’s very happy!!
PLG99 (verified owner) –
We were doing well getting our new puppy used to this crate. But, the first time I tried to leave her in the crate while I ran a quick errand (~15 minutes), she broke the zipper and escaped. I’m really mad that we paid $120 for this and will be contacting the company.
TxGyrl (verified owner) –
I bought it for traveling it was easy to set up and easy to take down
PooBum (verified owner) –
I bought this with food stamps and coupons, it’s great.
Jeannette (verified owner) –
After only two used my dog ripped out the back mesh window. Product had good reviews and was even described as escape proof. I returned it to the store and was given an immediate refund and exchange for a different hard kennel. Fantastic service at petsupplycanada!
barbi_mt (verified owner) –
Actually bought the 36” soft crate- better size to meet needs of growing young dogs

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So my dog is a cane Corso and he is so huge he fits so perfectly and he loves it he thinks it’s the bees knees he is so comfortable and you can put it together easily and break it down so smoothly and it’s not heavy to carry around I mean it has weight to it but you can carry it around I highly recommend
M rich (verified owner) –
I purchased this crate 2 months ago, I thought what a nice looking, light weight crate. It was easy to put together and was easy to move around. My puppy was about to shred through this crate in the small amount of time that we have owned it. I’m very disappointed in this purchase. I now have to purchase a new one after spending over $120 for this one and fix my house after the dog escaped.
Coop25 (verified owner) –
We bought this for our new puppy and he sleeps in it at night. Well made and the dark helps him.
DCameron (verified owner) –
We started fostering a 7 week old Belgian Malinois and already had a trip planned. She traveled in it in our car and then we used it in our hotel. She did fantastic, road in the car with no whining and slept through the night in her crate. We got a size she can grow into and have found this to be one of our best purchases for her.
Liz78 (verified owner) –
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] He’s with us his crate worked so good was easy for Max to use easy for me to put up easy to take out Easy to clean just a perfect product We’ll be buying more from this manufacturer and the near future Directions were easy to read as well
Pug fan (verified owner) –
This product has strong fabric, zippers and screen. It collapses to a very reasonable size. I would recommend
Hhje (verified owner) –
I got this on Sunday 7/10 and used it for the very first time today 7/12 and it immediately broke when we put my puppy in it. The seam around the zipper just ripped off
SHays (verified owner) –
I use this for puppy’s night time kennel. Fits perfectly beside my bed without being in the way & she loves it! We will be using it for travel also. Very well made & easy to set up.
Wirehired Pointer (verified owner) –
I bought this for my dog, who is crate trained but loves to chew. In a matter of minutes, he was able to chew a hole through and got out and, in the process, sprained his leg.
Jan21816 (verified owner) –
I was concerned this would be too small for my 50-55 lb Husky/Retriever mix, but we had limited space. Needn’t have worried. She has room to move and turn around. Not sure I would use it for everyday, but for when we need to cage her for 4-5 hours, it’s good.
Lucy (verified owner) –
I bought this a month ago for my new puppy that was kennel trained but in the metal crate. I wanted to change the image of the crate to be a happy place so this mesh is ideal.
Sandy W (verified owner) –
We picked this up a few weeks ago and love it.Easy to pop up,nice zippers and color.
Works well for us.
B23H (verified owner) –
Picture on the box shows a large breed (Shepard if I remember correctly) so I picked one up for my husky. $130 down the drain in less than an hour dog had the thing tore up and got out. Go with the metal crate. Pet satisfaction 5, Owner 0

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed a good portable dog crate. But I didn’t like the big hard ones. Top Paw has these awesome portable crates. They aren’t made if hard plastic but foldable . Perfect for taking wherever I needed and easy to store. I love you can just zip it n get your dog in. Mesh panels so Willa can see out and check everything out. Several sizes to pick from.
CynCity415 (verified owner) –
My dog loves this soft crate. We use it when we go on vacations and put his dog bed inside. We open up all the windows so he feels like he’s not missing out on anything during the day, but when it’s time for bed, we zip it all up and put a little sheet over the top. He feels comfy and safe. Well thought out construction and we actually like this better than the other soft crate we have that we leave at my mom’s place.
Sokaren (verified owner) –
I’m about to buy my third one. One for the cat. One for the puppy. And now the third. I broke the puppy crate. That was my own mistreatment of the product. They could make the frame a bit sturdier. My dog does chew the zipper and corners. Did break the zipper but only after I zippered her. It was a revenge chew. I like this crate. It’s sturdy enough for my dog to sit up top. I like the flexible sides. It makes this fit better in my commercial truck. So it makes a makeshift middle seat that I can step in and work around and puppy can rife next to me away from the pedals. She rides on top. Then I put bedding inside at night to sleep. Works well for us. Collapses quickly and folds very flat for easy storage.
MickRando (verified owner) –
Everything was fine until the front door/screen tore off and left the crate without a door. Not very well made and not very tough
Anonymous (verified owner) –
Easy to open & fold down. Very nice looking, good quality & price.
Toots magoots (verified owner) –
I have two small dogs and this is perfect for hotel rooms and travel. Fits both dogs perfectly and I leave it in my trunk for travel
Asia9514 (verified owner) –
This product has been perfect for our Husky. She had a surgery and the sides have the flexibility to handle the cone. She loves it and feels super safe in it.
JFBerube (verified owner) –
I understand the concept however the cage should be more breathable by having all size with that high strength mesh. Poor handling of the cage with small dog in!! Need to be still before having the dog in!! Plus the dog didn’t like it. I could sense stress in her behaviour and no problem in a regular metal crate.
Great selection (verified owner) –
I haven’t had it for very long and have only used it a couple of times but so far it is great!
Esme27 (verified owner) –
Our ten pound puppy chewed through the mesh and escaped the first time we left him in it for an hour while running an errand. The mesh in the front and side is not durable at all.
Jackson8357 (verified owner) –
Worked well for a few months but then our 20 lb cock-a-poo figured out (like so many others that posted) how to claw her way out of it (and destroyed it). Not recommended for a dog that doesn’t like being confined
ashrussell1992 (verified owner) –
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a 20lb pug and I got this so that I can bring her to my hotel stays and she could be kenneled. Metal kennels are so heavy so it’s nice having a lighter one. It assembles easily and sleekly and she has enjoyed it!
Shottsie (verified owner) –
I bought this two weeks ago for my new rescue. She loves it and sleeps in it during the evening before bed (this is while it’s not zippered shut so she uses it of her own choosing).
It has a waterproof bottom so if your pet has an accident it doesn’t go through to your floor.
Jockey21 (verified owner) –
Bought this for my Pomeranian 2 lb puppy and I absolutely love it.
Mal22 (verified owner) –
We put our dog in this crate every night and she loves it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this TOP PAW-TP 26″ NEW PORTABLE SOFT CRATE is so easy to use and to assemble I has a great design and it looks nice in the house and storage is super easy just fold it up and put it away.
Janet Skrzypek (verified owner) –
I bought this a couple weeks ago and my doggie loves to Use it like it’s her little house.
Small dog owner 2 (verified owner) –
At first, I really loved this crate! But then I realized it wasn’t durable enough. I have a tiny little 6 pound dog who ate the entire front of it off. I purchased the size that was supposed to be for a German Shepherd. If my 6 pound dog can chew it. I’m sure any dog can chew it.
Ramble Scramble (verified owner) –
Got this for our highly reactive dog who hates car rides and he loved it and was calm for the first time ever in a car — and on a seven hour drive, no less!
Kleimak (verified owner) –
Love this new style of crate. It’s completely portable, super easy to take up and down.
LisaSL (verified owner) –
We purchased this to confine our cat following surgery. It took exactly one week for her to break through the bone-shaped mesh panel. It is now being patched with Duct Tape. which needs to be replaced regularly. We expected better, as this product is not cheap.
Darth JJ (verified owner) –
The crate is awesome – but the zipper broke on day 2. Hardly a good trade off.
Meping 12 (verified owner) –
I have purchased 2 of these kennels. Work well. Would recommend to others.
TabbyO (verified owner) –
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Top Paw 26 inch crate is fantastic. It is completely collapsible, has a spacious interior, and is super easy to carry. It took two seconds to set up. You move a bar and that is basically it. It collapses down into a very easy and portable carry on in-between uses. It is also incredibly easy to clean and has so much room for my pet (as you can see in my photos). It has an excellent price point, too. The material it is made with is very strong and durable. It will not rip or tear on you. My only real critique is that I wish it had detachable wheels. However, this is so much better than using a regular plastic crate and my pet seems so much more comfortable in it. I highly recommend this crate. I absolutely love it and will buy it again when this one wears out (if ever).
Kealakekua (verified owner) –
I bought this to take in my motor home and could collapse it during the day. Strong and easy to do. Can put dog in on top or in front. When collapsed it is easy to carry.
Missykly (verified owner) –
I got this for my new puppy! I put it on my bed at night and the soft sides allow him to snuggle up next to my! just enough room for the crate and me in my full size bed
KRgn (verified owner) –
We loved this! He was so calm and loved it. The zipper broke after a couple of days – not via the dog. But then he slowly was able to undo a seam and slip out the mesh on the side. It was already weak but we gave it the benefit that the seam must be reinforced due to the high quality and the price tag. What a bummer 🙁 we really didn’t want to get a wire crate but didn’t even last two months
JAL1 (verified owner) –
I bought this crate 10 days ago for a dog who is crate trained and loved it. He got a little excited when I came home after a trip to the store (1hour ) and he came right through the mesh door. I hope I can replace the door this would be very nice to travel with. Easy to set up and take down just wish it was a little more sturdy for 100 bucks
Marie_G (verified owner) –
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Top Paw portable dog crate was easy to fold and take with us on vacation. The crate is soft yet pretty durable for our dog. It has good ventilation so my dog doesn’t get to stuffy being inside. I am able to put a small blanket and small toys for him to keep inside.
Teresa49 (verified owner) –
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is very nice its comfortable for my puppy. I use it out doors allot. The quality of the product is really nice. Perfect size great item all around. Highly recommended to anyone who has small dogs up to 30lbs
LindaLou1 (verified owner) –
This Portable Dog Create is very well constructed and the zippers are super tough and stay closed when zipped up. All my previous dog crates do not compare to this Top Paw Indoor and Outdoor Portable Dog Crate!
Hannah8647 (verified owner) –
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It fits my dog and was very easy to set up and take down. The material is strong and sturdy and is a nice dog crate option. Top paw is amazing. I’ve never seen a dog crate like this and this one works.
Aj1246 (verified owner) –
Our 15 lb cockapoo ripped the side mesh including zipper. I wouldn’t waste my money on this.
Lilly belle2024 (verified owner) –
We got this to put beside our bed because our puppy was barking and whining in his other crate thru the night. Boy what a lifesaver! Not a peep! I thought it would be scary for him because it’s very dark all zipped up, but not the case! He sleeps better than us in it, I think he may even look forward to going to bed! He is a 10 week old lab..
K Wright (verified owner) –
This was the best crate I’ve used to crate train a puppy, and I’ve used them all. I like that the top can be rolled open it seemed to help my puppy adjust to the crate pretty quickly. I just sized up to the largest size because my pup is growing so fast. I like that it’s lightweight and very easy to pack up and go. I would not recommend this if your dog is really rambunctious because this crate may not hold up to a dog that scratches at the mesh panels a lot or bounces around in it. My only complaint, and it’s more of a product suggestion is that the top has a mesh panel in it so more light can get in to make it easier to see my pup in it when the top is closed.
Dannillee (verified owner) –
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this soft sided portable crate for the ease of travel and a place fory dog to sleep while traveling. My dog seems to love it with his favorite bed in it. The crate seems to be well made and durable.
nos1 (verified owner) –
This canvas crate is great! Except that my 10 lb. rescue chi/terrier chewed through the zipper. I actually love the roominess, light weight, & ease of use. But, I would keep an eye on the dog if possible. I’m going to keep it & reuse it anyhow.
Madz23 (verified owner) –
Unless your dog is going perfect in the crate it’s not worth the money. The zipper doesn’t work properly, tore easily and now we are out $60+.
8wkoldgoldenretriever (verified owner) –
We’ve had this crate for a week now and our 8 week old puppy instantly found comfort in it, however learned how to unzip to the top zipper in just 5 short days!
NLong (verified owner) –
Absolutely awful! The zipper will not stay shut when challenged by a heavy dog. Mine is 66lbs.
Not only is the zipper function not useful, but the canvas is easily chewed or poked through.
Cindy BM (verified owner) –
We bought this to travel with our dog. We put her bed inside for added comfort. The kennel folds flat and is light for transporting.
Ty1981 (verified owner) –
I bought this a few weeks ago and my dog loves it. Love the durable waterproof bottom and the multiple openings.
Mr Not So Awesome (verified owner) –
In theory it’s great. Dark, multiple door access, soft walls. But in practice the fabric door was not the right choice. My dog is a toy Aussie and he destroyed the door the first time he ever wanted to get out while the door was shut during a party. Now it’s just a glamorized cave. Useless really.
John75 (verified owner) –
Haven’t had a dog for a long time, crate training will be easy with this unit
Papt (verified owner) –
I purchased this product to kennel train; transport and to have for overnight stays at grandchild’s home.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Top Paw Indoor & Outdoor Portable Dog Crate came folded in a flat, easy to transport position. There are two crate clips that hold it in the folded position securely. The crate is light to carry. I got the crate to house my two boxers while I am visiting and don’t want them having the run of someone else’s house. The crate is large and roomy once unfolded and assembled. Both my boxers fit comfortably inside for short periods of time. I like all the window areas for the dogs to have ventilation and lines of sight. The front and one side window are almost the full area of those sides. The rear has a window across the top. The other side has a cute bone-shaped window. The top has a zippered area that opens to help with assembly or to leave open when using. There is also a little storage pouch on the rear panel. It isn’t large enough to hold much, but it fits a collar or small toy. Both dogs wander in and out freely when it is set up in a room, and it has a stylish look. My dogs are not afraid of going into the crate and don’t have an unpleasant reaction to being zipped in. The fabric material is easy to clean and maintain. The material seems more durable than other portable kennels I have tried.
I followed the assembly instructions but had difficulty getting the bars to fix at the connection points. It took a good deal of strength to stretch the bars into place. I don’t think I would use this for frequent take down and set up due to the work it takes to set it up, but it is fine to leave somewhere or infrequently fold up and re-assemble. The zipper on the top is stretched and already showing signs of pulling off the track after the first set up. I am not confident it will last long.
Patole (verified owner) –
The size is just what we needed and it is easy to fold up for storage or cleaning. Our dog runs straight to it every night after her treat. Very pleased with this product.
Jlam949 (verified owner) –
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was skeptical about this portable soft crate since none I’ve used have either contained my dog or just seem flimsy. But this crate is great. It’s lightweight and easy to set up. And collapses flat and compact like a metal crate. There are two window openings with one being removable. You can also open the top, too. And there is a dog bone shaped window on the back. The crate is pretty sturdy, but you would need bedding inside. This is easy to bring on the go. The only issue I found was loose threading. But that’s easily fixed.
Rkhoman (verified owner) –
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Top Paw – TP 26″ new portable soft crate – grey color is the best crate I have ever had and used it keeps my animal safe and secure it is great from both our cat and dog. It is so phenomenal every pet owner should own one.
Baileythedog (verified owner) –
It’s nice. We purchased it to travel our puppy golden. She’s growing so fast that we aren’t using it. It’s being returned.
AndyV306 (verified owner) –
Like the title says, this kennel is awesome for travelling. My German shepherd loves it and is relaxed and quiet during longer car rides. Kennel training may still need to be required for your pet to enjoy things like this but the product itself is good and sturdy, also folds fairly flat… about 2-3 inches so it could be easily stored under a bed or in a closet
Blondie881 (verified owner) –
This was purchased as our kitten broke his paw and had to be contained when not supervised. It was purrfect!!
Maggie 802 (verified owner) –
Bought this to transport my Goldendoodle puppy home from PA to Vt. She could see us out the front panel and she never whimpered or cried all the way home. Use it upstairs next to my bed and she sleeps all night. So convenient with all the zippers. Use the top one to put her in at night and used the side one on the trip home.
Disappointed25 (verified owner) –
I was very happy with my purchase at first. I used the kennel about 5 times with no issues and liked the amount of space and visibility we both had. The last I was able to use it my 14lb dog pushed through the front separating the zipper itself. I am unable to close the zipper now and even if I could why would I want to use it again just to have her get out once more.
TK1989 (verified owner) –
Purchased the 36” crate in-store. Box seemed to have non-factory tape on it. When I got home and I boxed it, realized the front zipper door was missing. Not sure if this is a spare part that can be sent? Overall like the size and setup so would like to keep it but currently does not function as a crate.
jood (verified owner) –
great crate, but i’m returning because it’s just a little too big for my car. I already have one in the next size down and just need another one that size for each dog. but they are great crates.
Rustsky (verified owner) –
Crate holds the dog. It’s cumbersome to collapse. The top zipper broke the first day.
LiCo (verified owner) –
This is convenient for travel, however, my 50 pound dog busted out on the first use.
Blinkyinky (verified owner) –
We used this for two days and the zipper came right off the seams.
Lexigirl325 (verified owner) –
I bought this crate to use with my new 2 year old dog. We been working all week to train her in it. First offc the mesh makes it really difficult to see the dog inside. After leaving my dog in for a few minutes, the dog was able to rip the fabric and get out which defeated the purpose of the crate. (The dogs nails were only trimmed the day before) I hate that I spent $70 on a crate that can no longer be used.
Merch1 (verified owner) –
I bought this for our son’s dog when he visits home. Very easy to put together

My husband and I bought this 5 days ago for the 1 year old German shepherd that we rescued. He chewed through the side mesh shaped like a bone within about 2 hours. Now I know why I used to get solid sided crates for my previous shepherds. Do not waste your money on this.

I love how easy it is to install and portability. It’s very lightweight. The only down side is that the front zipper isn’t as durable. My dog whose 40lbs broke loose through the front zipper after one week of getting this. Luckily we were able to exchange, but the photo is of a German shepherd, so a 40lb dog shouldn’t be able to easily get out of it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product has been so convenient to use. We took our dog to New York with us for New Year’s and this came in handy so much when we were not in our Airbnb. Our dog can have some mixed cystic issues with separation and so it made so much more sense for us to utilize this product just in case she got anxious while we were out. it was so easy to travel with and so light weight. We’d like to take our dog on trips with us but it is sometimes not easy to travel with a crate so this lightweight portable crate was so handy but yet so effective efficient and sturdy as well. Can’t recommend this enough.

My puppy chewed through the front zippered flap/door and I have been trying to locate a replacement for weeks. It just zips on and off. It’s useless without the door.

Easy for cat/dog to see out of and still be crated
Not too heavy to move about easily

I am a new dog mom to a yorkie terrier boy! He is one years old …and is I tried the plastic play pen and that did not work…. I did not want the metal crate because of how institutionalized it looks and it did not look nice in the home. So I gave this a try! Love love love this…. I had the dog for only 3 days and the 1st day he barked and cried by day 3 he started to like it more and more! I made it nice and comfortable for him too with a soft mat and blanket. Popped a few treats for him in there too! I leave the top open so he can pop his head out … he’s too tiny to escape. I will train him to go in on his own too by opening the sides. Currently we place him inside. I recommend this product.

While I am at home it is nice to leave the top open and let my baby watch me do chores but stay out of the way. We were able to create a positive relationship with it, but the three times she was alone in it she escaped. Two times were my fault, but the last time I leaned the front door against my cabinets, the side door to a concrete wall, and double checked that the top was latched. I get home and she had the proudest smile on her face outside of the kennel. She was able to undo the bottom of the zipper of the front door without actually undoing the zipper and escaped.

Picked it up from store No problem, drive it to disabled relatives home 4 hours away. Sturdy nice crate, top piece #1 slid into place per directions, too piece #2 broke in my hands 🙁

Love the way this breaks down. Lots of airflow. I’m a little concerned about the front screens longevity as my puppy hooks her claws in the mesh. Hoping there’s replacement screens to be bought if need be .

I purchased this for my dog, for when she has to stay away from home.

I bought this two weeks ago and I haven’t had any issues with it so glad it has a top zipper, to close the top
Himself66 (verified owner) –
I bought this with a coupon to replace a cheaper model that was broken. It is really big when fully opened but not heavy and it has a unique opening mechanism that takes a second to figure out but I think is better than my old soft crate.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m so impressed with this dog crate, is the perfect size for my puppy. I like the simple style of his dog crate and it is easy to tote around. It was easy to assemble and wash this crate. I like that I can see through the material and it’s made with nice material. My puppy doesn’t get anxious while inside and I’m happy with this product.

We bought this for our Clifford the big red dog. She likes feeling like she has her own room.
The zipper works well and it is easy to store and take with us.

I bought this to be a travel crate for our golden doodle. The very first time we put him in it he broke the zipper and ripped a hole in the top and jumped out.

We were visiting family in Europe and saw their collapsible crate for traveling. When we visited petsupplycanada store we found this portable crate that surpassed the one we had seen. It is easy to assemble and break down and very light so much easier to travel with than our much more heavy and bulky hard crate. A great buy! And our puppy loves it.

We purchase this item two weeks ago for our new puppy. So far it has stood up to the reviews. Big enough for her to roam around and studying up for her to stand up on the walls.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My dog used to hate going into the hard plastic dog crate I had for her. She’s crate trained to stay in there when I am at work. After getting this soft portable crate, she seems to be more comfortable and easily goes into the cage because she’s not scared. I highly recommend purchasing this just to provide your dog comfort.

I have a smaller version and just love it. So went in for a larger size. I love the portability and roomy if I need to put both of my dogs in it. Availability of many openings to get my dogs out and has openings for them to see out of.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this crate and so does my dog I am totally satisfied it is very well constructed I love the little window that is shaped like a bone with the mesh windows and doors there’s plenty of air flowing through and it collapses really easy for storage and looks great sitting in my living room I totally give this crate two thumbs up if you are looking for a crate stop this is the one you want your fur babies will love it and so will you.

I bought this crate for my small Shorkie so he could have plenty of play space as well as a space for food and water and to relieve himself. It’s been the best crate for him so far!
Joan777 (verified owner) –
This kennel works perfectly to take in our camper because it can be folded up when it’s not needed.
CMB2 (verified owner) –
Nice size however not so easy to put together. If you are looking for a quick transport, this is not it. I’m worried over time my dog will tare a hole in the screen…$140 down the drain.
SadAboutIt (verified owner) –
I crate trained my dog. He even got to where he enjoyed going into it for short spells. The real test didn’t come until we had to leave him alone and the sep anxiety kicked in. He got through the first two days. On the third he destroyed the mesh on the front door to escape. It is now completely unusable. A real shame since he did like being in it as long as someone was at home. I’m rating it fair, two stars only because if you have a dog that does not exhibit separation anxiety, it might be the perfect find. It seems comfortable and inviting, for a cage.

Using as a “healing hut” for kitten after spay surgery for sleep at night. Can fit bed, litter box, food & water in there. She has been very happy in it.
WGal (verified owner) –
I purchased this crate, as I was required to have one for a dog class we just signed up for. The crate is a little cumbersome to put together and take down, but once I do it a few more times it should be fine. The only other thing is how the front flap works. It zips the whole way around which is good when it is closed, but doesn’t stay up nicely when it is just partially zipped across the top. There is another brand crate in our class that seems easier to set up and use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Top Paw portable soft crate is a very handy thing to have. It is easy to carry and keep clean. It’s very nice to have if you have to travel, or to keep at home, especially if you have a pet that gets anxiety when you have to leave for a bit, It keeps them safe until you get back. There’s a few sizes to select from that will meet your needs! I recommend its a good value and quality.
indytuffy (verified owner) –
Bought this for our 2 cats, the screen is too dark as they are used to a lighter screen and they stay in it for lots of times. Not what we need. It does look very sturdy and it would be good for the right purpose.
arizonajayhawk (verified owner) –
We really like this kennel since it is soft and has good ventilation. The one thing that is annoying is the loud zipper. However the zipper is good quality which is likely why it is so loud.
BizzyBee83 (verified owner) –
My dog loves his “pod”. Easy to set up and take down. Very sturdy with multiple access points. Dog feels secure due to cozy cave-like inner surroundings. My dog can stand up with my problem as it’s spacious.
Lyssab1233 (verified owner) –
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love how easy the crate is to pop up and put in place. I love the easy accessible zippers on the front and on the top of the crate. After use it’s very easy to dissemble and clip back easy to carry and store somewhere. Also gives my dog plenty of room.
Cadie (verified owner) –
I’ll start by saying these other reviewers don’t understand how dogs work. So no, if you don’t have a well behaved and well trained dog, you shouldn’t get a kennel made of fabric. However, I got this for my 105 pound doberman, who has never once tried to escape his crate, so it works well for him and it has been very sturdy and seems well made.

Holds up to the wear and tear of most dogs and/or cats
bug13 (verified owner) –
I love this – I got it for a cat to roam in and sleep while not getting attacked by 2 new rescue cats – they just want to play as they are 12 years younger than him but he does not know that but is used to being on this level with me. Not quite sure if it will work for that as I have not been able to try it yet as a little dog has temporarily been added to the mix and my older cat now stays upstairs unless the dog is out of the house.
ZE50 (verified owner) –
This soft side crate was easy to put together and works perfect for my dogs. One thing I would like to make folks aware of is that your pet must be already crate trained.

Just picked up our new puppy. Sturdy, crate, easy to assemble, sidings we’re durable, able to see the puppy through the screen. We did buy him a nice pillow top because we had a long ride back home. Definitely recommend soft crate.

I used this crate a few times and it was awesome to transport and set -up. Unfortunately, after a few months the arm snapped and it can no longer stay open. I no longer had the box or the receipt so I am just sad it didn’t last.

Perfect size for our Boston Terrier. It’s super easy to assemble and to collapse. Folds up and stores great. Perfect for traveling and its lightweight.
BW11 (verified owner) –
This kennel is very functional and has great features. The top liading feature is especially helpful. It’s easy to move around and we like the “windows” made of netting. Our puppy loves it too; she’ll often go to it on her own before bedtime.
MicoliCoon (verified owner) –
This is easy to assemble and works well. We use it when we travel with our cats and kittens. Only downfall is that is only has one zipper slider and pull – I prefer when there is two per zipper so we can open from either side.
Desert Momma (verified owner) –

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great portable dog crate, it is very easy to setup, it is just like setting up a folding table, to set it up you just unfold the crate and slide across the 2 bars, it has thinks walls and extra thick corners, it is built very well, and feels like it will last, love how the door screen can come all the way off, it is very light weight and easy to carry around with the handle, my dog loves it like it is his own bed room

We bought this travel crate when went to pick up our Boerboel puppy. He will outgrow it shortly, however this crate was perfect for a hotel stay and 8 hour drive home. The Pup was safe and secure and still currently using it at bedtime. I like that we can unzip the top and use it like a playpen. Not recommended for avid chewers, but we haven’t had a problem since he is only in it right beside us.

Bought this crate for a new puppy. It’s absolutely terrific. Well made, plenty of ventilation and secure. Nice size, more than enough room for most dogs.
axkydd (verified owner) –
Bought to keep my dog mellow after being spayed. On the second day, my chihuahua broke the zipper and tore the mesh.
Gurgmeister (verified owner) –
We bought this to keep our dog confined post surgery, but he likes it so much that he now sleeps in it every night. It will be great for travel too!
Tljoscott (verified owner) –
Secure and safe. Great in car but can’t see your dog well through dark screen. Probably better for a dog trained in a crate and not a puppy as my puppy caught her nails in the mesh a few times
TCase (verified owner) –
The zipper broke a few days after purchasing it, I tried to fix it while the dog was in crate she panicked and one swipe ripped the net door. Wouldn’t recommend for larger dogs that still have puppy energy
Happy client (verified owner) –
This is the best dog crate I have seen and for the price. It’s very heavy duty and sturdy.
The inside cross bars can be a little tricky to push out to secure the crate,
I would highly recommend this crate. I bought it for my new pet to train them and out in a Serta mattress inside and he loves it!,
CWhale (verified owner) –
We purchased this back in November, thought it would be a good idea to buy this instead of a standard crate since we plan on traveling with her. Three months later and she chewed right through the back while we were out of the house, and swallowed the large chunk resulting in a trip to the vet once we got home.
G1867 (verified owner) –
I bought it for crate training my golden puppy and it was great. It has worked perfectly. I’m about to buy another one because she’s outgrowing the current one. She even enters the crate when I tell her and stays inside even if the door is open. Definetly recommend. I wouldn’t recommend it for dogs that are not well behaved though, as another review said.

I bought this just in case I needed it for my mini schnauzer who was having eye surgery. We have larger metal crates but needed something smaller to keep him confined following surgery. It turned out to be a great purchase. Lightweight, quieter than the metal crates, and easy to assemble. When he is released to jump and play, it will easily disassemble for storage. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 bc it is difficult to see him through the mesh openings. Seems it is easier for him to see out than for us to see him inside the crate; but not a deal breaker for our circumstances. Purchased online for pickup without seeing it first. I found it to be just as described. I highly recommend this crate for other furry babies.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Top Paw Indoor & Outdoor Portable Dog Crate was extremely easy to set up. It is perfect size for our 1 year old chihuahua mix puppy. We have the 26″ size and use it for when we leave, otherwise he will get into all sorts of trouble. The crate seems to be made of durable material as we have had no issues. It was very easy to set up as our 9 year old set it up for the dog :). I’d recommend this if looking for a quick & portable crate for your dog.
Poppysmom23 (verified owner) –
This crate was a bit pricey, but exceeded my expectations for quality. Zippers are strong and fabric is sturdy, and yet still lightweight and very easily portable. I bought this for traveling with my dog. My dog stayed the night in it with no issues. Haven’t left him alone, so still have to see how that works. Also, probably not for a dog that might be overly anxious when left alone crated.

This is my 2nd Kennel of this type, I bought my 1st 15 years ago with my first border collie and she loved her house, never had issues with her. When I got my new puppy, another border collie I bought him the same house she had and he loves it. It is very dark inside the kennel and feels more like a den, I don’t like cages and have never had a good experience with one with open bars the puppies always cry more and dig but never an issue with this one. They love it almost immediately.
Catseekingshelter (verified owner) –
I foster kittens and this crate is the perfect size for a single to a small litter.
GinaZ1973 (verified owner) –
I bought this because I always got nervous about my beloved dog sitting in the front seat with me. I didn’t want to chance injuring him if we were in an accident. I have this tethered in my cargo area and I feel so much better traveling now. Very easy to set up and take down but I just leave it in my car. If you have an anxious dog who isn’t used to crates this will not last! Strictly for crate trained dogs. My dog would prefer to be in the front seat but he lays down in the crate until we reach our destination. If you have a destructive dog do NOT purchase this crate as it won’t last. This has been perfect for my 22 pound dog.
