To start, I really don’t have that picky of a cat, at least not when compared to some cats that I’ve seen before, however this is the second time we have tried Weruva products and sadly, he just isn’t having it. Both times he’s given it one or two sniffs and walks away, won’t even give it a simple lick. I hate to give it such a low rating but I have to go off my cat’s opinions. I will say that although he disliked it, it seems to be a great product. It’s unique, colorful, and eye catching, which I love in product packaging. It’s also very clean and authentic, grain free, and unlike many cat foods nowadays, it’s made WITHOUT gluten, carrageenan, nor artificial flavors and colors. So potential is definitely there, it just isn’t something my cat prefers, but I’m sure there are lots of cats that love it!

I am afraid of feeding this to my cat and I urge you to research, because while doing so I saw that cats have died of food poisoning apparently after eating this food. Just be careful.

It look her a little bit of time sniffing the bowl before she actually tried to eat it. But once she started eating it she did eat the majority of it without running off. I think the fact that it is 3 oz is also good. It allowed me to give her a little bit as a sample and then store the rest of it for a day so that I can try it out again for a second day. By then it was all gone. So I feel this is a positive experience for her. The ingredients are better than the average can of cat food. Overall I would try this again with her and see if any other flavors catch on.

The Weruva Press Your Lunch Paté is high in moisture with high quality ingredients. It’s nutritious, low carb, and doesn’t have fillers and by products. Low sodium-the lower the better for cat’s hearts & kidneys. Lower phosphorus-the lower the better for cat’s kidneys. For some reason I had some difficulty opening the stronger than usual pull top lid. Upon opening I noticed it had a strange color and consistency. This cat food is almost white and the consistency or texture isn’t a typical pate, this is almost like a chicken jelly that needed to be cut up or mushed. It seems to hold moisture much better which is helpful to keep my cat hydrated.
I would say this is probably good for picky eaters, oldsters, kittens, cats with bad teeth and all in between! This is one of the more expensive brands though and I would feed it sparingly.

There was a good amount of water in the can, great for getting some additional hydration into her little body. We gave her half the can and she was quickly finished with it and begging for more. I tried to give this food a chance; I really did. I started transitioning my cat onto it slowly, but after we got to day 5 on a 50/50 mix, my cat started having blood coming out of her behind. She would try to use the litter box and just freeze in place, straining, for sometimes 10 minutes, before eventually leaving the box without producing any stools. Then came the seizures. She has a history of them, but she hasn’t had one in a very long time. After witnessing all of this, I immediately stopped the transition and went back to feeding her the more expensive wet food I had been feeding her prior to Weruva Press Your Lunch. After a rough couple of days on her old food, she was able to produce stools again, and I haven’t witnessed the seizures or blood coming out of her behind. She seems to be recovering, but I will never feed her Weruva again. I feel so bad because of the pain and suffering it caused her. It’s unfortunate, because I am sure that this food doesn’t hurt every cat out there, but for mine it certainly did.

The Weruva Press Your Lunch Paté is high in moisture with high quality ingredients. It’s nutritious, low carb, and doesn’t have fillers and by products. Low sodium-the lower the better for cat’s hearts & kidneys. Lower phosphorus-the lower the better for cat’s kidneys. For some reason I had some difficulty opening the stronger than usual pull top lid. Upon opening I noticed it had a strange color and consistency. This cat food is almost white and the consistency or texture isn’t a typical pate, this is almost like a chicken jelly that needed to be cut up or mushed. It seems to hold moisture much better which is helpful to keep my cat hydrated.
I would say this is probably good for picky eaters, oldsters, kittens, cats with bad teeth and all in between! This is one of the more expensive brands though and I would feed it sparingly.

This is the worst smelling food I have ever encountered (and I say this an an animal shelter worker of 9 years). The texture is also so so weird. It’s very soft and mushy. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Oh my goodness, my cats absolutely love these Weruva Pate! Wet Cat Food Puree treats. I use them as a treat and reward. They meow and jump around when I reach for them! I prefer Weruva products for the ingredients, which are better quality than many of products on the market. So I feel good providing my kitties with this product as a way to experience different tastes and textures in their world. And it’s a great motivator or reward! The product is easy to use….just squeeze and let the cats lick from the pouch or place on a plate. I foster kittens too and this is such a great way to promote bonding. Love the ingredients and convenience. Also like the variety of flavors. My cats just really look forward to these as treats.

He devoured it fast. The smell wasn’t too strong or bad like a lot of others are. He seemed to enjoy the texture and taste.

I tried to give this food a chance; I really did. I started transitioning my cat onto it slowly, but after we got to day 5 on a 50/50 mix, my cat started having blood coming out of her behind. She would try to use the litter box and just freeze in place, straining, for sometimes 10 minutes, before eventually leaving the box without producing any stools. Then came the seizures. She has a history of them, but she hasn’t had one in a very long time. After witnessing all of this, I immediately stopped the transition and went back to feeding her the more expensive wet food I had been feeding her prior to Weruva Press Your Lunch. After a rough couple of days on her old food, she was able to produce stools again, and I haven’t witnessed the seizures or blood coming out of her behind. She seems to be recovering, but I will never feed her Weruva again. I feel so bad because of the pain and suffering it caused her. It’s unfortunate, because I am sure that this food doesn’t hurt every cat out there, but for mine it certainly did.

They also only like pate-style cat food (no shreds/chunks – or they just lick the gravy off & leave the solid food bites). This food went over well! Everyone enjoyed it and the additional liquid was a bonus. Many cats don’t drink enough water, so the added hydrating puree is a good addition to the daily diet. I was also glad to see it is grain free. Our cats enjoyed it and ate every bite!

The puree is a strange consistency but kitty still enjoyed it. I don’t think I’ll try the puree again just due to the consistency but that’s just a personal reason.

You get a lot in one can so it’ll last you at least two if not three feedings. I wouldn’t give your cat the whole can in one feeding. I split mine up between two cats so they each had half a can. The actual food itself looked like real food. You could tell that it was made with quality ingredients. Once my cats started eating it they wouldn’t stop until it was done, which is always a good sign. I prefer to give my cats high quality food instead of food with a lot of filler. Weruva is made with high quality ingredients that aren’t going to hurt your cats. I recommend this food to anyone that wants high quality stuff.

My cat is a very picky eater and is not able to eat wet cat food on a regular basis because he has a sensitive stomach. However I do like to treat him with wet food on a monthly basis, anytime I open a can his head turns to see his treat. I love that this has a mousse like consistency, personally it stinks to me but the reaction I get from my cat when he smells it and watching him like the bowl I have place it in when its clear there is nothing left means I need to get him more.
