I have a pacman frog and this is the perfect substrate to use! If my frog eats a little on axident, it does not harm him at all. And this keeps up the humidity too. So I totally recommend this!

It’s great for hamsters to have some different substrates to play in and this coconut fiber is a perfect addition to his set up! Possum (the hamster) has bathing sand, coconut fiber, and 6-8” of bedding. The coconut fiber is moist, but dries fairly quickly. He likes to use it and his sand for the bathroom, so I use a small “litter” scoop to go through it every day until it’s time to change out completely. I also try to mix the coconut fiber around every couple days to fluff it and get the moisture back toward the surface. Highly recommend!

this was recommended for our tortoise’ home and has been the only substrate used for about 2 years

I bought this a month ago because I had used it before with no issues. This bag was full of baby roaches that infested my pets cage and now I have an exterminator taking care of it. I will never again use this product. It has caused nothing but trouble and hundreds of dollars wasted.

We use his for my hermit crab, Mr. Krabs, along ide with some sand. We have it so the right half is cocoa fiber and the left is sand.

I get two bags delivered once a month for substrate changes for my two reptiles and it works great for the both of them(leopard gecko and blue tongue skink). Awesome for keeping a moist substrate and a healthy bts and awesome for avoiding eye infections with my leo 🙂 I’d just say you should anticipate a few water changes in the water dish.

Got this for my soulsucker ball python morph to replace cypress mulch. It works great and don’t have to worry about chunks of wood getting stuck on the mice. Additionally, she loves to burrow in it.

Even though it’s more expensive to buy the loose cocoa fiber then the bricks, it makes redoing my Pacman’s frog tank easier and quicker to do.

Have this for my leopard gecko and it’s a great substrate! It lets reptiles dig and only needs to be changed every six months! Impaction won’t occur with proper care. Also great for moist hides and species that need high humidity.

I got this and put it above the sand in my gecko’s habitat. It’s great for burrowing and digging. They love it. Maintenance is also very easy.

Love this product. I use this for my 4y.o. Butter/Champagne Ball Python and he loves it. Holds moisture / consistent humidity with little to no effort on my part, and in that way helps facilitate perfect sheds from my BP. Hasn’t had a bad shed since I switched him to this substrate, that I can remember.

I got eco earth for my leopard gecko. I really like it. I have a bowl that i put his worms in so he doesn’t eat the eco earth while he tries to eat a worm. Even if they eat some of the eco earth, it wont harm them at all. It just goes through there body and comes right back out! As sand wont do that. I also heard that leopard geckos like to dig, because thats what they do out in the wild. So i wanted to i put some of that in there so he could have something to do. But he doesn’t dig but thats fine! It’s a lot easier to clean his waste out. I use a reptile scooper so it cleans his waste a lot easier. Kinda like a litter box for a cat 🙂

I bought this for my whites tree frog (burger) and he loves to make hole and sit!
It’s nice and soft and is not big enough to cause any impaction to your animal.

My 3 year old Hermann’s tortoise, Boris, doesn’t like this stuff. It’s great for burrowing but it gets in his shell, eyes, water, and food.

I have hermit crabs and this pulp has been a wonderful asset to their habitat. It keeps them clean and moist, healthy and happy. I have had no problems with mold and they molt all the time. I love this as the main base in all my habitats and I don’t plan to get any other brand.

This is pretty good substrate, I’ve been using it for my bull snake for a little over a year at this point. My only complaint is low humidity specific. If you have a low humidity reptile, you can expect to plan several days in advance to allow this substrate to dry out, as it does carry a lot of moisture straight out of the bag. I found this out when I dumped it into my snake’s terrarium, and watched the humidity go up to 100%. It generally takes about a week to dry out completely(in Colorado’s dry climate).

Bought this to grow oyster mushrooms and it was perfect for that. I boiled it first to make sure there were no contaminates, then squeezed out the excess water. The blocks are a little better deal but I went with the loose stuff because I can measure the amount I need.

This stuff is great! My Box Turtle uses it and absolutely loves to burrow in it, however, this stuff dries out super quickly. I would definitely recommend this product being combined with organic soil or sphagnum moss to ensure it doesn’t completely dry out.

I have been using this for my fire belly toad and now I use this mixed with calcium sand for my hermit crabs and both really enjoy digging in it. I’ll keep buying this for as long as I have small animals such as these.

I bought this last night and switched out my Tortoises’ sand for this product. He immediately sank into and and couldn’t move his body, just buried himself. If you have a tortoise, I do not recommend this for them. The bedding immediately covered his shell, face, and legs/arms. Immediately went back to the store and got him more sand, and had to throw away the fiber. Waste of money.

I was advised to use this for our tortoise terrarium and although it’s soft it’s a big mess. As soon as I put out tortoise in the tank he got this stuff in his food bowl, water, and on himself just by walking around.
