DESCRIPTION
Create a better walking experience for you and your dog with the PetSafe Soft Point Training Collar. This safe no-pull collar teaches your dog that life is better with slack on the leash. When your dog pulls against the leash, the rubber soft points will press inward evenly against the dog’s neck. This creates steady pressure that is safe, but difficult to ignore. The pressure is relieved when your dog stops pulling. With regular and consistent use, your dog will be walking by your side. Eventually, you’ll be able to remove the soft points and use this as a no-slip collar! Have confidence that your dog is comfortable wearing the Soft Point Training Collar. The rubber soft points are a pain-free, safe and discreet alternative to metal or plastic prongs. The PetSafe Soft Point Training Collar features a nylon strap, 12 removable rubber soft points and is available in two sizes: Medium, for dogs up to 55 lbs., and Large, for dogs 55 lbs. and up. I have two Labs, two years old. One has a 16″ neck – 55 pounds. The other has a 17″ neck – 66 pounds. The 66 pound is solid muscle. Originally, I purchased the size “Large”. It was way too large for BOTH dogs! I would have had to remove all BUT two and three plastic nubs to fit either boy. Then the collars would be just a collar. I returned them for the size, “Medium”. Medium is a 3/4″ collar. Large is a 1″ collar. The collars ARE adjustable. They work like a Martingale collar. I removed four nubs for the 17″ neck dog, and six nubs for the 16″ neck dog. I then adjusted, made smaller, the collars a lot! These collars did NOTHING to stop my pullers. My loud voice was more effective for the pulling than these collars.I gave two stars because the concept is a nice idea. (I had three shoulder surgeries and could not train my puppies properly on a leash when they were young. I wanted a less aggressive collar then the metal pinch collar. Sadly, I believe that is the route I will have to go.)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The PetSafe Soft Point Training Collar in black size large is the right size for my 60 lb husky. We have tried everything to help him stop pulling and so far this has been the best option, he still tries to pull, it’s his nature so I don’t know if he will ever stop but this collar makes it possible to go on a pleasant walk with him.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was recommended to order this training collar for our pup for obedience classes. Ordered on a Thursday evening and received it on Saturday! Quality is fine- we only use it for training purposes so it has held up well so far.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The PetSafe Soft Point Training Collar is a much better choice for training your dog to walk on a leash. The collar is well made and of good quality. I prefer this over any other collar out there that can potentially hurt my dogs neck.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live taking my 1 year old pit mix for a walk. However, pulling can be a real issue. The collar is high quality. It’s easy to adjust to size. So far she responding pretty well to it. We haven’t completely resolved the issue. But with a little more time I think this will fix our issue.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My dog loves sniffing and loves pulling. This collar definitely helped my dog to walk more loosely on the leash. She did not seem uncomfortable with general wear but I do not leave it on her when not walking. My reason for 4 stars is that it is a bit hefty and I wonder about long term pressure from the weight. Overall I am happy with it and think it would be great for a bigger dog. (my dog is on the petite side)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This collar is easy to adjust to the size of your dogs neck. However, it did get stuck in our dogs fur. The rubber prongs were easy to remove and adjust.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love that it is plastic/rubber that puts pressure on my dogs neck not metal. It’s very easy to adjust and it worked well to keep my dog from pulling. I didn’t think anything would work, but this worked exceptionally well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used to use a metal chain collar for my Bull Terrier. I really disliked how it seemed to pinch his neck. This soft point trying collar is such a welcomed addition to our walks. I know he is comfortable and I hat makes me happy!

I thought it was the help my dog train, but I do not like it. It jokes him too much.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like that the “prongs” have a soft material so it gets the dog’s attention without hurting them. It is well made, adustable, and good for training.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The pet safe Soft Point Training Collar made great quality and easy to adjust. Stops pulling, jumping and lunging on walks and helps create happier moments for you and your dog. This safe no-pull collar teaches your dog that life is better with slack on the leash. The collar seems like a good alternative to other methods. Highly recommended.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let me start by saying our dog is over 80 lbs and does not have great control when walking because of all the excitement going on around her. We have tried other collars before but none like this, she walked pretty well and it doesn’t hurt her which is a plus for me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a mutt, but he has a LOT of working/high-energy breeds in him with a particularly large prey drive. It’s not a problem in the back yard, but it can be hard when we try to do walks with his brother (a Great Dane) who feeds off his energy and tends to follow the leader. I did NOT want to get a traditional prong/pinch collar… I wouldn’t be comfortable putting it on myself even to prove a point, so I couldn’t put it on him. This was a nice compromise. This is much more humane. It didn’t dig into the skin and Bruce didn’t tend to mind it until we actually started walking (and he started trying to pull me along in his excitement). Bruce has a pretty high pain tolerance, so I feel like his learning curve was a bit more dramatic. It took us about five walks before he stopped yanking completely, but it’s SO MUCH EASIER to walk with him now and his brother isn’t trying to pull me down the street, haha.

bought this hoping to train my golden to walk a little better. Does not fit that well and does not work at all for keeping her in check.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We absolutely love this training collar. We’ve always wanted to try a better training collar because so far what we’ve tried really does not work and a pinch collar being metal just didn’t sit well with me. This one is absolutely perfect. We’ve noticed an immediate improvement in pulling with our German shepherd. I think with continuous use things will only get better. It’s made so well and so sturdy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a dog with very thick hair around neck, so the pinch collar gets stuck in his fur. This one does not, because I can adjust the prongs. I really like the idea than some can be taken out to make it more comfortable. I use this when when we walk. It really helps him not pull as much. Using the plastic is so much better than than the metal. It gives my dog the sense I am in control. When on he does not pull or react as much. The size was perfect for him, I have the large. He is 75 lbs.

Way too big and cannot be adjusted. And if you look at the pictures it shows a whole harness type with a soft front this is just a collar. Nothing what I expected.

Bought to train my large mix breed dog, whom is a little over 1year old bc the shock collar we bought actually accidentally burnt him

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this trialing collar for our dog and I like how it has rubber on it instead of just metal like a chain collar. This one is made very well and it doesn’t hurt the dog while trying to train him when walking him. Very affective in what it does. You can even take the rubber pieces off if you have to adjust the collar

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My dog is literally a freak on a leash because we have a backyard, he never walks on one. We realized that we wanted to take our dog to the beach, so we used this collar to train him. Within 5 one hour walks, he was no longer pulling us on his leash.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The PetSafe soft point training collar is a nice alternative to a traditional metal prong training collar. I like that the rubber prongs are removable to either clean or just use as a normal collar.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So, I have a Basset Hound who is usually great on a leash until his nose picks up a scent. When that happens, he forgets he’s on a leash and wants to follow his nose! This collar is effective but completely harmless. Not as harsh as a pincher collar. Not sure how effective time it would be on a larger, more aggressive dog that needs a lot of training, but it’s great for a mostly obedient doggy that just needs a friendly reminder to point his nose in the right direction. Plus it looks really good on my dog, Meatloaf.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This collar is adjustable after you remove the individual points to best fit your dog’s neck. It provides gentle attention to your dog when they pull while walking. Much better than an alternative metal spikes that can leave your dog’s neck sore.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The PetSafe Soft Point Training Collar has been great for my yellow lab learning to walk on a leash. The points are soft and removable. It is a safer and more gentle alternative to a traditional prong collar. My dog doesn’t mind wearing this collar. Great quality and design!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like this collar. I have used a prong collar on my dogs. But this collar is nicer the ends don’t poke into the dogs neck. It still gives the same affect without hurting the dog

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve dreaded a long time to take my dog walking but after I found this new soft point training collar, I’ve not dreaded it since . This collar is very effective except there is no metal prongs jabbing in their necks. It’s very effective and very well made and if you want your pet safe from making you fall or pulling you instead of you controlling them then this is 100% effective for me and it’s safe for my dog and not sharp prongs. I love it and you will too for sure! The soft points make it so easy to control your dog.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve used training collars in the past that seem to hurt my dog more than it trained. This collar is a great alternative that makes me feel better about using as it keeps my dog from pulling on the leash without pain. My kids are able to walk my dog now without worrying about getting yanked around the neighborhood.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is much better than the metal spike training collars out there. I can provide corrections to my dog without concern of causing her harm. She tolerates wearing it well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My dog definitely needed a training collar. This one is perfect because it’s soft but works . She knows not to pull when walking now. I highly recommend over a hard training collar.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This training is great to for walking and teaching your dog’s not run and try and jet away from you while walking. The collar itself is not restricting to the dog and the rubber soft points are great and do not hurt the animal but when they start to pull the leash it feels them and backs down from trying to go faster or where you do not want too… This collar is does bring pain to the animal like a shock collar does and I highly recommend it, my dog walks are totally better now when I put the collar on my pet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the medium size and with a small adjustment it works around my slimmer 28# dogs neck. My dog does not pull the entire time while on walks but enough to frustrate when he is curious about something or wants to mark. I do think this collar has helped with the pulling, I think it irritates him enough for him to realize that sticking closer to me is the better option. That being said, I am not sure this would be the best option for a dog that pulls constantly or pulls regardless of pain/choking themselves on a normal collar because more than anything the collar is an irritant. I think it is best used as a training tool, not as a deterrent for an already existing problem. Also my dog is fairly smart and quickly realized that he could back up out of the collar if he pulled from behind, so 4 stars

I measured twice and selected the size based off the measurement, but it was still way too big. I had to remove most of the soft points in order for it to fit my dog, and they seemed to have no effect on her behavior.
