I was excited to try this out…especially with the 10% off coupon. I was not happy with the quality. There were instruction to “put it together” but when assembled, all of the parts don’t really fit together. There was a part where you put a screw cap on the end of a screw but the screw wasn’t long enough for the nut and the screw cap. Also, the light spins around when the cord is hooked up (even using the cord clamps). And…the cord is dangerous for parrots because it doesn’t have any kind of protection on it to prevent chewing. It’s a risk of the bird getting electrocuted if they do what birds do…which is chew things. I honestly should have returned it and just purchased an m&m cage light, they have a metal protector that goes over the cord to prevent chewing (and they also have a metal guard over the lamp to prevent the birds from getting to the light bulb).

Bought this a couple of weeks ago and returned today. Bulb kept coming loose, cord hard to attach to light, flimsy attachment to cage. Very poor quality.

3 bulbs and 2 kits later and nothing worked. This a total waste of money. DO NOT BUY! I will never buy pure sun products again.

The two birds seems to be ok with the light, not to bright or hot.

This is a great little light, I had no problems assembling it. The rubber washer goes between the clip and the acrylic hanger, not between the screw and clip, yea the screw is a little too short to put on the screw cover but its not needed anyways. and sure if the cord is strung too tight it may pull on the lamp a bit, but c’mon a little common sense during assembly goes a long way. my wife loves the light and it works great.

I bought this months ago and my budgies love it. It was easy to set up. I had zero issues. We’ve even moved and set it up again. Sturdy, quality materials.

Works great for my conures. They love it. Provides them with the sunlight they will not get this time of year

The instructions tell you to put the rubber washer under the head of the screw holding the clip to the plastic arm bracket. But then there is not enough clearance inside the clip to properly hold the light fixture. The screw head sticks up too far and prevents the fixture from being fully inserted into the clip. You have to remove the washer in order for the fixture to fit completely inside the metal clip. I can see many people ending up with a improperly mounted fixture and one little tug on the cord and the fixture will come down and land on the bird.
