I feel like my dog’s coat is already softer and more shiny. She has a lot of curly hair so I feel like it’s also less prone to tangles than it was before. My dog, on the other hand, doesn’t seem to be as in love with this food as I expected. She usually devours any new food I get her and this she has eaten at a normal pace. Not a bad thing, just not her usual excitement for a new flavor. Also, I’m not sure she loves the nutrient bites. She tends to prefer larger pieces of food as she carries her food away to eat it. So it could be just that it’s tiny and not the flavor but I am finding the nutrient bits picked out and left by her bowl, then she takes the rest to eat.

I have tried almost everything. I finally decided to stop giving her processed dog food. I was giving a chance to try this food. At first she did not want to eat it, so I tried adding some blueberries to the food. She started to eat it so I tried adding cut up raw meat to the dry food. She ate that. She will now go to her dish and eat just the dog food. It has been just over a week or so and I am seeing some improvements in her skin. This makes me happy because I really want something that helps that does not include medication from vets that is not always a good thing for our furbabies. Her skin and coat is improving and I am sure that given more time, it will continue to improve more. This is a pricey food for dogs, especially given the way we are all struggling. However, when I take into consideration the cost of prescribed medication. for her skin and coat, the price of this is not so bad really. If you are looking for ways to help your furbabies, I would recommend giving this a try. Give it time. Your dog needs to adjust to the diet changes and their body does as well.

Our Great Dane has always had skin sensitivities. We switched her to Blue Buffalo Bayou Blend which was the perfect solution and resolved all her skin issues and did not make her smelly. Unfortunately Blue Buffalo discontinued this flavor so we moved her to the Denali Dinner which worked alright but was not as good as the Bayou Blend. The Denali Dinner was also discontinued as well which led us to this option. I was a bit leery since previous salmon based recipes made our dog smelly and while it isn’t working as well as the Bayou Blend it is an improvement from the Denali Dinner. She has very few flare ups.

I’ve noticed that my dog has a stronger body odor after eating it. I could tell that he really loved Blue Buffalo True Solutions though. As soon as I opened the bag the smell from the food was not off putting as some bag dog foods are. The bag is very light weight due to the formula of the kibbles. The bag is resealable to keep the food fresh. The kibbles are not full of fillers and additives. I compared Blue to my dogs previous dog food and there is a very evident difference between the two. The old food was rough and dense. Blue is lightweight and smooth while providing all the nutrients needed for a healthy coat and skin. On the first day of my dog trying Blue he cleaned the entire bowl. It does not take as much of Blue Buffalo to fill my dog up compared to his previous food. I believe I will be buying Blue Buffalo going forward.

She has sensitive skin and this did not give her any tummy and skin problems. I also really liked that it doesn’t use dyes that can cause tear staining. However, she didn’t love the flavor. She’ll eat it, but not as well as other foods. Possibly because it doesn’t have as much sugar as other foods she’s used to eating or because she might not like salmon. I’m not sure and she won’t say.

Prior to trying True Solutions Perfect Coat, she experienced itchy irritated skin, dullness, and some random dry spots.
Now that we’ve made the switch, her skin has cleared up dramatically, and she is so incredibly soft! There are still a few dry spots left, but they seem to be improving!
The pieces are small, and seem easy for her to chew, and for a salmon flavored food, the smell isn’t offensive like some can be.
I plan to continue using the True Solutions Perfect Coat, and I can’t wait to see the improvements continue!

I switched my Mini Schnauzer / Jack Russel mix from just about every food we have tried due to her severe skin allergies. She developed such a bad ear infection and yeast infection in her paws due to a poultry allergy. So no turkey or Chicken for her.. After just a few days, the itching went away and her paws and ears healed right up! Mind you the smell of this kibble is a bit fishy so it will take your dogs a bit of time to get used to (9 weeks our vet said) but so far she loves it! She looks like a shiny new baby again!
