Directions:
Use as cricket carrier or holding pen. Simply slide the tube out of the Exo Terra Cricket Pen and drop the flapper down to prevent escapes. If needed, cover the tube opening with one hand while transporting it to the terrarium or feeder. Remove your hand and lightly tap on the tube to release the appropriate number of crickets for feeding. Only one tube should be removed at a time to avoid crickets escaping.

Cricket Care:
Crickets should be kept in a well-ventilated room at a temperature range between 21-23 degrees C (70-75 degrees F) with low humidity. Keep the cricket pen out of direct sunlight and cold drafts. Always keep the cricket pen clean and dry. High quality cricket food and water (gel) should be provided at all times, both of which should be offered in the shallow food and water dishes provided. If water gel is not available, a moist sponge may be used. Do not use water only as the crickets may drown.

Tip: To keep your crickets alive longer, “gut load” or provide a slice of apple for food.

Cleaning Instructions: It is necessary to clean the unit regularly. Remove all debris and waste and clean the entire unit with hot tap water.

Caution: Never use soap or detergent as it may leave a residue that can be harmful or even deadly to the crickets.

Setting up to take in a rescue bearded dragon. He’s a very big boy. Needs lots of food!

We bought this and right away the crickets escaped. We had to tape everywhere.
    Not worth it

I bought this a few days and lots of crickets escaped. Not worth the money. Grates are way to big and crickets of all sizes easily escaped. Spend $20 if you want 20 crickets infesting your house!

Perfect size and love the tunnels, they make it super easy to get out a few crickets quickly into a dish. Only gave 4 stars because the feeding dishes for the crickets are cheap, small and impractical.

My fiance bought this 3 months ago and it works great! No cricket escapes other than when we were putting them into it. No problems other than when we were storing more crickets than it could hold. Definitely would buy again.

I put a dozen crickets in with calcium gut bulking jelly. The plastic blockers fell off the catcher tube too easily. The feeder dishes slide all over killing the crickets. Difficult to open making all the dishes spill and move. Way overpriced for what it is

I bought this not long ago for my beardie and at first no cricket escaping yet until a couple nights ago I woke up and see about 5 crickets on my floor in my bedroom and idk how they got out it’s a good product in my opinion but I don’t recommend it at all

I had this given to me as a gift. Luckily they gave it in a gift bag because when I opened the bag the bottom was covered in escaped crickets despite the flaps being taped in place for transit. I have solved the problem by covering the top and sides with a leg cut off of an old pair of pantyhose and holding it in place with an elastic band below the collector tubes. Even the 1/4” crickets have not escaped and it’s been 3 days. A cheap solution.

I needed separate tongs for my cane toad as they can transfer toxins to my snakes. This was recommended to me by the staff. You have to hold them so tight and so close to the end they make your hand cramp and if you loosen your grip at all, you drop your pets food. Then you have loose worms and crickets etc.

I found many many many crickets around my house within days of using this product. The grate on top is WAY too big and even large crickets crawled through

This is a complete waste of money. The crickets escape from the container through the lid. Unfortunately we did not notice until we found crickets in our house, then placed it in a larger container and videoed what was happening. This is “designed” to house crickets yet it is incapable of doing its job!

I bought this to keep just a small handful of crickets in for my bearded dragon. I came home to majority of them running around my house I don’t know now but no mater what I do they find away to escape don’t recommend.
