I have two schnauzers. I combine it with commercial fresh chicken & vegetables dog food and they love it that way. I believe the stool is drier and easier to clean up and they are very healthy dogs. I like that it that is easy on the tummy and no grains. They have been eating it for about six months and I will continue feeding it to them. Our vet likes this diet for them.

After the dog ate the same night on the belly, the next day also pulled blood, I sent the dog to the hospital, spent many hundreds of dollars to cure. The dog’s body is well for 1 week, I feed this dog food again, did not expect to pull belly, then I smell the bag inside the dog dry food is smelly, is deteriorated. The date on the grain bag is good, but the grain inside is spoiled.$70 worth of dog food had to be thrown away

We changed our dogs over to Instinct Raw dry food in mid 2023. Two of our dogs started having issues. One with what appeared to be sinus allergies. The other with skin irritation. Over a short period of time, the skin irritation became so severe the vet couldn’t determine exactly what was wrong. We went through everything from ringworm to bacterial infection. This went on for over a year and our fur kid suffered horribly. She had raw spots, pustules, hair loss, ear infections, eye irritation and we took her to 3 separate specialists for eye, dermatology, and allergy for animals. We were constantly cleaning and washing her bedding and giving her medicated baths 2-3 times a week, for over a year. It was agonizing for all of us but mostly for her. She became a shell of her former personality. One day after a 2 hour drive to the animal dermatologist in Louisville, I stopped by the store to get a bag of the dry food and they were out of it so I looked for something with small bites and found a food we used before. In 3 weeks she started getting better. Her skin lesions started healing over and she had a little more energy. My other dog stopped snorting and wheezing. That is when I realized it was this food that had caused all of the problems. We spent thousands of dollars and time and my little girl suffered so badly for over a year for absolutely no reason. I you are having these issues this food could be the cause. We can’t get that year of suffering back, not for us or her. She didn’t deserve to go through that. No animal should.

I own three poodles, all of them ended up with very irritated butt holes and one of them developed a rear end gland abcess that required drainage. I purchased this food to replace their unavailable food due to COVID shortages last August, at that time I didnt put things together but one of them had a rear end gland abcess that required draining. This year, their food became unavailable again so I was forced to purchase another one of this bags. The same happened with the same dog and the rear end gland, and when I observed the other dogs anuses, they were inflamed like a pepperoni. I will never purchase this food again. Keep in mind that some dogs can have allergies to certain thing and this may not have the same effect on your dog. But it did it twice for mine. I was unable to write the appropriate scientific word to refer to their rear end openings because it is considered “profanity”

Our pup is 4 years old, and has been on two other brands of food- 1 was a wet food when he was just a little guy that became too expensive as he grew bigger and needed more and more food, and the other was a dry food that was much more affordable, however he would take days to finish, so we realized he probably didn’t love it. It also made his breath smell terrible. We tried Instinct after reading reviews, and when I went to the pet store to purchase it, I was informed that this brand was their premium choice and one of their top sellers. I had run out of our pup’s previous food, so I was unable to introduce the new food gradually, but the first night I gave it to him, he devoured it. I was worried it might upset his stomach since not having introduced it on a gradual basis, but he had absolutely no belly issues. After our first week with the new food, we knew it was the right choice, because whenever it’s time for him to eat, we put his food in his bowl and it’s gone in an instant. We will continue to use Instinct and are excited to try their other flavors. We’re still unsure if his breath will get any better with this food, but we are really hopeful.

I have purchased my fourth bag of the Instinct Raw Boost Small Breed Formula in the chicken flavor and my dogs go nuts for it! As most people know, Yorkies are notorious for being picky eaters.
