On May 30, 2020 I bought an 8″ Tug n Toss ball for my then 14 wk old 40 lb Great Dane puppy. He likes it fine to chew on the handle. It is now 1/4 gone. He doesn’t want to play fetch or tug; just chew the handle. He’s now 17 wks and 64 lbs. I don’t know what to get for him to chew on that is not so easily chewed up. Don’t know what he’ll do when the handle is finished/gone.

My Belgian Mal loves this ball! Wish the tug handle was was built a little stronger. Just make sure its not a play toy and only use as interactive toy. When i forst gave it to him, he immediately ripped part of the tug handle. I learned quickly to make sure I am present when he has the ball!

The ones we bought 2 years ago lasted forever, my German shepherd loved them and was able play fetch, chew, and tug and the balls could withstand the hard play. These current balls tear and get huge holes after about 10 minutes of play. Please go back to previous formula!

Bought the extra large horse jolly ball for our Cane Corso in 2005. Our standard poodle came in 2018 & LOVED it! As a puppy, he started chewing the handle so we let the original go & bought his own extra large, two mediums and one mini. Jolly Ball tug & toss is his absolute favorite outside toy. He carries them all in the house but loves to chase and carry outside!

Love the toss and tug! My Goldens and Dobies always adore these great floating toys. This toy is NOT a chew toy. Nothing lasts forever. If your dog like to destroy things either monitor them or don’t buy this. My dogs love jumping into the pool after them and they last a few years. Piece of crap now…used to be a tuff dog toy. And the one we just got was actually a horse ball 11″ diameter. We have one that is several years old been outside all of its life and still a great tuff toy. Wife bought a new 11″ today it lasted less that an hour before the handle was broken enough he was able to eat chunks of plastic. Not much fun pouring Peroxide down a dogs throat and watch it puke up to see if there are green peices, poor Clyde. But lucky for him he hadn’t swollawed any. I have a 20 year old jolly ball that is still tough and amazing. I recently (this week) bought a second 10” extra large jolly ball for my 10 month old Bernese Mountian Dog and the handle shredded within the first 5 min. (And he’s not a crazy aggressive shredder of things) Handle was made of cheap & flimsy rubber compared to the rest of the ball. So disappointed. Quality has gone way down.

At first, my 15 month old Doberman didn’t seem very interested. Once she did start fetching it, she wore out the handle of the 8 inch ball quickly. I then ordered the biggest one I could find. The ball was even tougher, but my dog chewed through the handle in a few hours of fetching it, not sitting around chewing. Like everyone else said, the company needs to fix the hollow handle- the same material as the ball would probably do it. The hard hollow plastic handle is a deal breaker.

Huge decline in quality. We had one of these 15 years ago for our German Shepherd, and I’m pretty sure it lasted his whole life. I bought a new one for our cattle dog and just throwing it in her bringing it back and it was all cracked and punctured and pieces falling off in less than a week. My Labrador is 10 years old and I have probably purchased 20 of thess balls, in all different colors, M, L and XL. This toy is especially coveted by my dog when it snows, she will run it outside, lay in the snow and chew on it for hours. When we visit the lake we frequently toss it in the water for a extra special game of fetch. It’s also great for playing tug and I use her resistance for situps and squats!

Two of my three dogs get out daily for 2 hour hikes (so spoiled). In the winter we upped our game by buying a tug-n-toss toy form Jolly Pets. They love it! I can hike while tossing their new favourite toy and wearing them out without getting to tired myself. The handle comes in handy to toss as well as for the dogs to hang onto while running back. They always come running back with huge grins having a #jollygoodtime.

we have a few of these balls they last a long long time true the handle did get chew off but he still plays with it and loves the balls,they do have lots of teeth marks on them but they are great,every other ball he gets is ruined in a day he still has this ball five years later with no handle

We’ve used the same tug-n-toss toy for 2 years now. Always under supervision as it’s not a chew toy. Every inch of the ball and handle has teeth marks in it and it still floats!
One of my dogs like to squeeze it underwater and fill it with water. It still floats. My other two dogs like to play tug with it on the way out of the water. So far we’ve had no pieces come off.

The tug n toss, drives my girls wild! Every time they see them, they get so excited and start doing zoomies. They LOVE their jolly balls sooo much. Per the pups, this is the best toy ever! Can be kicked, carried, tossed, and bitten and it will hold up. The only thing is that they like to chew the handle, after which this toy loses it’s appeal to them. I have found that if you tie a braided fleece rope to the handle it helps save it from getting too chewed too fast.

Our doberman has 2 of these 10 inch with handle. She searches for them when not in sight. The handle is not indestructible but I have not had a toy out last our Dobie girl…except these.

I really loved this toy and my dog loved it even more. Unfortunately, he chewed up the handle within a few days. I thought it would be a little tougher than that. He’s a Miniature Schnauzer he’s not a big dog other than that he loved the toy but I had to throw it out.

This is my pup’s favorite toy. He will fetch this one all afternoon if given the chance. He will drop all other toys for this (even his Jolly Soccer Ball. When he had it this comes with us everywhere we go. Our first one seems to have mysteriously disappeared so this is a replacement.

I bought the Jolly Pet big blue soccer ball first and my 90# German shepherd loved it. But he was able to scrunch it and within a month he had torn it apart like his volley balls and dodge balls. The big Red Jolly Pet ball with the handle is a much tougher material. He is able to grab it and squeeze it with his bite power but not so much that he can chew it like the blue one. It has a million teeth punctures in it and it’s still going strong. I actually went back and bought 2 more during a sale so that he could have all 3 at the same time. I throw or kick them out into the yard and he chases it down and we do it all over again!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] MY first one lasted through 5 dogs with no issues then I got the ball destroyer Sarge a 2 yr old gsd rescue it took him a mouth and a half and he killed it so I got a 10 in to replace the 8 in one this new one lasted 3hr before it started to crack where he was clamping down on it for his tug of war! play time the ball is now wrapped with gorilla duct tape which is working to keep ball intact but no more tug of war need to go back to old formula and thicken the walls so ball does not crack under pressure.

If your dog has any teeth at all I cannot suggest this as a good toy as it’s very soft and not sturdy at all.

Rebel has gone and gnawed through every ball and toy we’ve ever gotten him. This ball has held up better than anything we’ve gotten! He’s had it for roughly two months now and the corner of the handle was the first thing to go. Otherwise it’s held up very well, bite marks and all. He carries it around the house wherever he goes and all over the yard, he even tries to take it on his walks!

Unfortunately , Tug -n-Toss handle end was chewed off by our 7 month old doberman puppy within 5 minutes of opening the box and having the toy The weakest part of the design was easily exploited by him immediately after using the handle to toss and shake the ball. He seemed to enjoy the eccentric movement of the ball caused by the disparate weight distribution due to the handle. I think a less aggressive chewer would probably really enjoy the toy, but any moderately forceful chewer will inevitably see and be drawn to the handle and enticed to transform it into a short lived chew toy

I have gotten several Jolly Pet balls for my 8 month old English Cocker… Teaser ball lasted maybe 10 days… before he tore the hard outer plastic away from the inside ball.. I had to throw it away. Got him a Tug n Toss ball… and that lasted maybe 10 mins.. he chewed the handle off in minuets. Haven’t found anything he can not destroy.

I bought this ball about 3 weeks ago for a 40 lb dog; sled dog mix. We play together. She had the ball by herself for 2-3 minutes, and managed to chew through the HOLLOW HANDLE. This should be solid; it is a choking hazard.
