I love when a dog warns you if someone is approaching, that’s their job as your loyal companion. I don’t love when my pup does not stop barking, or constantly barks at neighbors he already knows. We gave this a try, and he’s really come a long way ever since in learning when too much is just too much. He doesn’t get hurt, just surprised. And I’ve almost stopped using it entirely because it has worked so well in teaching him proper barking manners. I highly recommend this if you’re looking for a safe and gentle way to introduce mannerism training to your presumably excessively barking canines!

I bought this collar 4 mounts ago and I was not use it until my dog grow a little more and I recently decide to put the dog out side .my dog is barking constantly and decide to use the bark collar it does nor work at all .I look at the reviewed it seems every body has same problem and the company keep say the said thing to cover up. there is time they should take responsibility and accept there is some thing wrong with their product .Not every body is making the same mistake.

Fully charged, turned on and placed on my dogs – it has NO IMPACT whatsoever on any of the 3 dogs we’ve tried it on (20 lb, 63 lb, 85 lbs). Completely useless, unless your dog has been trained previously with a functional collar and “knows” you’re putting a bark collar on (so, basically they’re avoiding barking).

I bought this collar because I have a border collie/American Eskimo six-year-old dog who likes to bark at everything and whimper when I get past a certain fence for walking. I bought this with hopes that it would stop her from doing that so we could take a nice leisurely walk. It was easy to put on her neck at a comfortable length to correct her behavior and not irritate her. It worked within a few days for her behavior to correct itself and I never had it on her for more than a few hours when I took her out. The monitor itself is not large at all and the woven collar part was just wide enough to be almost like a regular collar sizewise. It was an effective tool and very well made. I would recommend.

There’s usually two other dogs that will bark at her and then she goes nuts and barks at them. When I tried it the first time, nothing happened. She was barking a good 5 minutes and just kept on. The next day same thing. Third day, the collar finally worked. I thought maybe it was just a gradual start and now she can finally feel the vibrations. She stopped barking right away and came to the door. Fourth day nothing. Fifth day it did work. It’s just too inconsistent to teach her not to bark. I gave up.

Our 70lbs Staffy mix is a lovable goofball, that loves people. Unfortunately his territorial barking, and charging the fence, when people are walking, riding, existing along our property scares many people. If they approach he loves getting petted, but from how he looks, people don’t realize he is basically yelling at them to come and play, and think he is a big vicious dog. This is a small, small town and It had gotten to the point that we were concerned people were going to start causing us issues, because of his behavior. I did not like the idea of one of these collars, but he appears to have impulse issues and is very resistant to training, even by professionals. So we tried it, and WOW. His barking and rushing the fence has stopped, for the most part, in just a couple days. I like how these collars are automatically incremental in pulse strength, so the first pulses he gets may feel strange, but don’t appear to hurt him. If he continues the barking, it increments the pulse strength. He moderately tested the limits once, but after that, he responds to the lower first pulses, that again, do not appear to hurt him at all. I also like how my other dog’s bark does not set it off.

Recently inherited a Jack Russell/Fox Terrier mix. She’s 4yrs old and rescued when she was 2yrs old from a physically abusive environment. Hence she is so skiddish, almost non-stop barking. Purchased yesterday and followed instructions to the letter! It worked perfectly. She started to bark and suddenly stopped after the 3rd bark. Now it seems even faster! I really like the idea of rechargeable batts. Not supposed to leave the collar on the dog 24/7 so there is plenty of time to re-charge the collar. I read reviews that avg 75-80% positive. It’s possible they acquired defective units, but knowing how stubborn our dog is, IT DOES WORK!

Within days of using the collar we started to see a difference. The barking is not completely gone but it has decreased significantly. The only issue we have with the product is that the instructions are not very helpful. For example, to set the collar on testing mode you are supposed to press the on/off button repeatedly until a blue light appears. Well, my husband and I tried several times and never got to see the blue light. In my opinion, the instructions should tell you exactly how many times you press the on/off button until you set it right. Hopefully, they will add that in the future.

It only works when the dog bark not from hearing other dogs bark. It needs to vibrate and the color shock in low. If the dogs continue from barking then the shock increases but in low shock. What I Ike about it most is it doesn’t require a remote, so I don’t always have to be monitoring and ready to push the button when he misbehaves. I was a little squeamish about getting this, but I was at the end of my rope with a 15-month old Bernedoodle who barks incessantly at other dogs while on walks or even in the car. (Not just a bark…that would be normal…but a crazy frenzy pawing at the window trying to get out of the car to “get” the other dog.) I was afraid it might be inhumane and hurt my puppy, which I would never want to do. After reading a lot about it, I realized it was just one more tool to have in the toolbox. The vibration that the dog feels is enough to make him jump, and even to annoy him, but it didn’t appear to “hurt” him. I used it as a reminder and tried to activate positive reinforcement along with this. So, for example, when we were riding in the car and I’d see a dog ahead, I’d say, “No bark. Good boys don’t bark.” He would finally see the other dog and do a little throat clearing and whining, but he did not go bananas with a barking frenzy. Within about a week to ten days, I didn’t need to use the collar any more. I just reminded him with a “No bark,” and gave him treats when he didn’t. Now that it’s been about 2-3 weeks without using it, he did go ballistic in the car this morning when he saw another dog, so I will pull it out again and use it for a day or two until he “remembers” about the inappropriate behavior.

Fiance moved in with a teacup chihuahua that barks a LOT. After 2 years I told him that I can’t handle it anymore, the bark collar was an attempt to stop the dogs ‘yelling’ at thin air. We got the extra small which would probably fit a Jack Russell size dog but still too big for a teacup chihuahua, my fiance had to cut about a foot from the collar for it to fit & personally I think it’s still a bit too big. It didn’t work on him. The issue may be that he’s so small that the prongs don’t properly lay against him because a similar product for training worked wonders on my bulldog. Also, my fiance couldn’t figure out how to ‘turn up’ the shock strength level. I love the rechargeable idea, definitely would save a ton on battery costs. We’ll keep trying, I may have him trim the collar length down some more & I’ll play with it to see if I can figure out how to turn up the strength level.

This positively changed me and my dogs life. He is a mix of a chihuahua and dachshund and is about 16 pounds. He’s always been a big barker since the moment I adopted him as a pup. It started to get really uncontrollable and embarrassed and actually got a pet eviction notice from my apartment due to complaints. I ended up moving out (with him) and we rented a house. Long story short, I bought this collar two years ago when I couldn’t take it anymore and felt like I tried everything. He knew barking was wrong but didn’t listen and couldn’t control himself. I was on vacation with him at a lake and he barked at the neighbors for hours and no matter what I tried, he didn’t stop.
I never envisioned getting a bark collar or anything even with a mild shock because he is my baby and I wouldn’t ever want to hurt him but his barking was ruining a lot of life moments. It didn’t take him super long to get used to and he was fearful (and still flinches) sometimes when I put it on. He then he’s on his best behavior. He still barks with it on sometimes but will only bark once or twice at something and not carry on. I don’t leave it on him either. It only goes on when he doesn’t listen to the “quiet” command and if he carries on. He knows quickly when he sees it that he needs to stop.
I now, years later, have moved back into an apartment (a different apartment, in a different city) and have had no complaints and he behaves so well! Thanks for making this product!

I have a very smart and stubborn dog that I let train me… we are trying to fix his barking habits (you know, when he wants a snack or something). I previously bought him a shock collar with a hand held remote (to which he found and hid out behind the shed). It worked on him, but he’s smart enough to know if I’m holding the remote or not. Thus, this new handy little unit. At first, it appeared that it didn’t work. He barked as normal…acting like he wasn’t feeling a thing. I have to admit I was a little apprehensive at first using the collar, but the ability to adjust the static level eased my concerns. The built-in temperament learning feature made it quick and easy to teach my dog and so now just putting the collar on her when she goes out seems to get her attention. Just make sure the collar is snug enough to touch their throat.

I got this about 2 months ago and it worked great, until it didn’t. The reset to make it go back to the original strength is not working. So my hubby turned it on and put it to his neck and made a barking sound, nothing. Why this is made so cheap?

I have a hard time telling when it’s on and when it’s off because it always blinks green. It seems to be correct in her bark slowly. It came with the tester but the tester is very difficult To use

I tried EVERYTHING to avoid getting a static collar for our newest addition. She is a 1 year old, 12lb Maltese poodle mix. We adopted her a little over a month ago, and the more she gets comfortable, the more she barks. I tried calming chews, the compression vest, calming spray, the bird house that does an unpleasant sound when she barks, and nothing worked. She put it on yesterday, and within 2 barks she was done.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] got this for my Husky but found out it doesnt work out with long haired dogs, so gave it to my mother for her short haired bull dog and seems to work well for her, they have a tool that lets you remove the pins so it would be much better if they would have included a set of longer pins for the long haired dogs like my invisable fence does, then it would be much better and work for a bigger selection of dogs, seemd to be made pretty good from what i see, i would recommend it to anyone with a shorter haired dog, but not a long haired dog.

She was afraid and distrustful of everything and everyone. When my sister came to visit I put the collar on her, she barked twice and calmed down. Yea!! So I took it off of her and told her she was a very good girl. After 2 days of off and on with the collar and praise she was sitting in my sister’s lap and loving her. I recommend you do not leave it on if they stop barking. Praise them and only put it back on when they misbehave. That way it works great as a training tool. Love this collar!!!!!

Have Jack russell terriers. Works great and solved problems until got collar chewed through. The actual bark device is perfect still only the collar ruined. Collar was way too big for her in the first place and it was on small settings adjustment. Now I can’t find a way to switch the device onto another collar. I don’t want to spend to buy another complete collar. Otherwise this thing is fabulous

Bought this in October and worked well until the battery died. We can’t get the cover open with the tool they provide, nor with anything else as it’s stuck and we’ll have to buy a whole new one or get it replaced just because we can’t get the battery out.

I purchased this collar a few years back for my 9 year old Pug/Beagle because he started to bark relentlessly at other dogs/people while in the vehicle or when watching people walk past the house from the window. The collar works great for stopping his barking but does not seem to work for whining/growls which is a bit disappointing. I purchased another one of these collars for my newest addition as he barks quite frequently when people come over, he is about 20lbs and I think it is too much collar for him.

She doesn’t bark as much which is a big improvement, but she will bark continuously at times. Where she just won’t stop barking regardless of the max correction from the collar. If that happens I don’t worry too much about it like other collars when she’s like that because this collar will automatically stop after 15 barks for 3 minutes.

Two dogs, puppy 6 months 12 lbs and 6 yr 22 lb Laggato. Both bark through the collars ( green light is flashing). These dogs really bark so I wish I got the bigger collar. The mistake I made was thinking, small dog lighter collar. I would like to wait longer but it’s been a good wile and I am growing pessimistic.

I have been using this for a about week and my puppy could care less about it. Has had zero impact on his barking. It also doesn’t have a leash attachment, so it is much more of a burden than a help.

Don’t waste your money. We bought this to try to keep our pup quiet in the crate at night. Has not worked in the slightest a week later. Puppy has absolutely 0 reaction to it and is still crying and barking all night.
