I would have given this a Zero if given the option. I bought two of these for my medium backyard and hung them in strategic areas to help control my hound dog’s barking problem. The device worked for a few days, however, he seemed to get used to the sound and it was rendered useless. By then, I had already thrown away the box and lost the receipt. Don’t waste your money.

Aaaaahhh…peace, quiet. We have a 19 month old German Shepherd – a big dog (100 lbs +) – who is a powerful animal with a powerful bark. He turned into a “barker” at about a year old, and the situation got steadily worse until two weeks ago; when we installed our Outdoor Ultrasonic Bark Control. He barked at everything, people on the street, birds, trees, neighbors, neighbors dogs, his toys, you name it. Now he is quiet; the only exceptions are when something really, really important needs to be barked at. Even then, his barking is brief. Purchased this product and set it up To shot across my drive gate. It was the same hight as my dog and with in 10 foot of him. When he barks the unit does nothing. When the unit does go off my dog ignores it. This is a great idea that does not work.

Please save your money and run as far away from this product as you can! I read the reviews on many site and they were about 50/50 for this product, so I thought lets just try it and see. Well I wish I could get my money back bc it made no difference! It was on, with fresh batteries and the dog stood there and barked right in front of it! I don’t have loud annoying dogs to begin with but we don’t like to disturb our neighbors so we thought this would help. We even tried it on another dog too, no luck.

I have a Large Male Rottweiler and a Female, a Pug also. I only have a problem with the male Rotti barking,(the Pug sometime). I started with the collar spray for him, that was a waster because the way the neck and head are the sprayer is either under his chin or to the side and doesn’t spray in the face. So, I decided to try the house. I purchased two for my back yard it seem to quite his barking but when a family of deers passed behind the fence he seemed to not even care about the sound. It did shorten the amount of barks by a little. After two days he was practically back to the normal constant barking.

The batteries died in less than 3 full days and found no difference, suggest you add rechargeable 9v battery and attach 9volt solar panel, increase audio output by already 60-70% an increase mic sensitivity by 50%

Bought this product yesterday as the next door neighbor’s dogs are constantly barking- whenever someone is out in their backyard, 5am, 2am, at other dogs who aren’t barking, basically anytime as they have 3 dogs they keep outside. My neighbors big white (German Shepard size) dog has barked for 2 years. It has been so bad we’ve considered moving.The rude neighbors and animal control are useless, so regardless of the poor reviews I was desperate and bought this. We have a 6 foot wooden fence so I hung it up even with the top of the fence, about 2 feet away so the neighbor couldn’t reach it, and set it on the lowest setting. The dog was barking when I was putting it up and stopped immediately. It has been a week and it still tries to bark but can’t.
It is nice to know as the dog moves farther away from the house and this birdhouse to bark, I can adjust this to the 2nd or 3rd setting but I have already ordered another one to place farther down the fenceline.

I have two large dogs who “alarm bark” when I am not home. This thing works like a charm. They will still bark a couple times, but no more of the continuous-drive-the-neighbors-crazy barking. It projects a 150 degree cone out in front of it and must be hung no more than 5 ft above the ground. Also, trees, buildings, some fences, etc will block the signal. So, I suspect the negative reviews are due to 1) improper placement/signal blockage, 2) hearing impaired dogs, or 3) low batteries. I purchased several to make sure the yard was covered adequately.

It seemed that this would be a gentle way to help my dog learn not to bark. Not only did that not work but later Iearned that this is considered aversion by Force Free Trainers like Victoria Stillwell and often makes it worse for the dog in the long run or has negative consequences. Every dog is different. Despite the reviews for this from people saying it didn’t work for their dog I still purchased this item. I’ve tried for years to get my dog to learn (I’m not a professional but we’ve gotten her to learn tricks and break other bad habits, so I know she knows when we are trying to break a habit but she chooses not to obey.) not to bark at everything she sees or hears in the yard. But she will go on and on the entire day when she is left “unattended” (I’m in side watching through a window.) I didn’t want to place a shock collar on her because I’m to scared to test it on myself so I didn’t find it fair to do to her. I turned this thing on the lowest setting and she barked a few times and each time learning she would hear the unpleasant sound being emitted from it, which I can’t hear but her dog ears can. I noticed she pins her ears back when she hears it. When I turn it off she only lets out soft “huff” barks. It was absolutely worth the investment and would recommend trying this any day before trying a shock collar of any sort

I purchased this devise a couple of days ago out of desperation. I moved my dogs to my new home and they barked the whole first night. I was up all night trying to keep them quiet so they wouldn’t disturb my neighbors. As soon as I turned on this device on the next day, the barking immediately stopped! It has been 2 days and they still haven’t barked. It was so simple to use. I put it on a stake right outside of their dog lot about 3 feet from the ground. I am so happy with this purchase.

We purchased the Egg about 12 years ago for barking of neighbors dogs when the house became a rental with 4 dogs and they would not address the issue and it worked great. They moved and we just turned it off and kind of forgot about it as the next tenant had no dogs. We had people move in and out over the years and would just turn it back on and put in a new battery. Well I guess it finally wore out (after 8 years of being in the weather) becuase it stopped doing the job. So we went with the cute birdhouse 4 years ago when we replaced it and it works as great as the egg did. I am purchasing another one now to put in storage for when this one wears out. I have a Large Male Rottweiler and a Female, a Pug also. I only have a problem with the male Rotti barking,(the Pug sometime). I started with the collar spray for him, that was a waster because the way the neck and head are the sprayer is either under his chin or to the side and doesn’t spray in the face. So, I decided to try the house. I purchased two for my back yard it seem to quite his barking but when a family of deers passed behind the fence he seemed to not even care about the sound. I love this. Our HOA does not allow privacy fences, and the dogs like to bark at everything, so finally I have some peace. I do use it indoors however it says not to. When I foster puppies I cannot handle there yapping. Works great indoors as well. We purchased this after receiving a notice in the mail from our city stating that our neighbors had complained about our 2 coonhounds barking excessively. Bought this product yesterday as the next door neighbor’s dogs are constantly barking- whenever someone is out in their backyard, 5am, 2am, at other dogs who aren’t barking, basically anytime as they have 3 dogs they keep outside. Every dog is different. Despite the reviews for this from people saying it didn’t work for their dog I still purchased this item. I’ve tried for years to get my dog to learn (I’m not a professional but we’ve gotten her to learn tricks and break other bad habits, so I know she knows when we are trying to break a habit but she chooses not to obey.) not to bark at everything she sees or hears in the yard. But she will go on and on the entire day when she is left “unattended” (I’m in side watching through a window.) I didn’t want to place a shock collar on her because I’m to scared to test it on myself so I didn’t find it fair to do to her. I turned this thing on the lowest setting and she barked a few times and each time learning she would hear the unpleasant sound being emitted from it, which I can’t hear but her dog ears can. I noticed she pins her ears back when she hears it. When I turn it off she only lets out soft “huff” barks. It was absolutely worth the investment and would recommend trying this any day before trying a shock collar of any sort

This one, not so much, we got it for a new pup that we are trying to train not to bark, and it hasn’t phased her one bit, in fact, our older pup that did not have the issue before has now picked up on this bad habit! By the way, I’m currently up at 5am in the morning from our dogs barking for hours non stop. Save your money! This is one of the worst products ever purchased!!! There was absolutely nothing wrong with previous model that was discontinued.

This is really hit or miss just depending on your dog. It is a miracle worker for my husky mix, but my greyhound is completely unfazed by it. It works so well for the one dog though that we are buying a second one. Definitely recommend to at least try it however.

I have 2 dogs. The large one with a loud bark, totally ignores it. The smaller dog with a shrill bark is totally scared of it and won’t go outside without being forced out. When she does bark, it cuts down her barking but doesn’t stop it immediately. Should be a 50 yard length. 50 feet is too short. The dogs know when they out side the limits.

We purchased the Egg about 12 years ago for barking of neighbors dogs when the house became a rental with 4 dogs and they would not address the issue and it worked great. They moved and we just turned it off and kind of forgot about it as the next tenant had no dogs. We had people move in and out over the years and would just turn it back on and put in a new battery. Well I guess it finally wore out (after 8 years of being in the weather) becuase it stopped doing the job. So we went with the cute birdhouse 4 years ago when we replaced it and it works as great as the egg did. I am purchasing another one now to put in storage for when this one wears out. We won’t be without them anymore for the silence they provide. You may get a bark once in a while but mostly one and it stops.

It seemed that this would be a gentle way to help my dog learn not to bark. Not only did that not work but later Iearned that this is considered aversion by Force Free Trainers like Victoria Stillwell and often makes it worse for the dog in the long run or has negative consequences. Please stay away from so called balanced trainers that punish dogs for bad behavior… sounds, vibrations and shocks are ALL harmful to the dogs!

Aaaaahhh…peace, quiet. We have a 19 month old German Shepherd – a big dog (100 lbs +) – who is a powerful animal with a powerful bark. He turned into a “barker” at about a year old, and the situation got steadily worse until two weeks ago; when we installed our Outdoor Ultrasonic Bark Control. He barked at everything, people on the street, birds, trees, neighbors, neighbors dogs, his toys, you name it. Now he is quiet; the only exceptions are when something really, really important needs to be barked at. Even then, his barking is brief. My neighbors big white (German Shepard size) dog has barked for 2 years. It has been so bad we’ve considered moving.The rude neighbors and animal control are useless, so regardless of the poor reviews I was desperate and bought this. We have a 6 foot wooden fence so I hung it up even with the top of the fence, about 2 feet away so the neighbor couldn’t reach it, and set it on the lowest setting. The dog was barking when I was putting it up and stopped immediately. It has been a week and it still tries to bark but can’t.
It is nice to know as the dog moves farther away from the house and this birdhouse to bark, I can adjust this to the 2nd or 3rd setting but I have already ordered another one to place farther down the fenceline.

Bought product about 2 weeks ago and it seems to be working on neighbors barking dog. When he barks he doesn’t bark on the side of the house near us because of the Bark Control it causes him to either stop barking or go to the other side of the house to bark. I just wish he would stop barking period. It seems to be doing the job because the dog is not barking as long as before. He will bark only like maybe 5-7 mins. instead of like an hour. We purchased two of these “bark controllers.” They did not work, even on the highest setting. Tried the different settings levels, multiple heights, facing different directions, everything. They died within a few hours of use. They eat batteries. That’s about it. Extremely disappointed for the price we paid.
