When I brought home my Standard Poodle pup, he had been on a cheap adult dog food. His stools were huge and soft, and his teeth were already building up tartar! I purchased my mini poodle puppy Lu at ten weeks after he’d been weaned onto a raw diet. It was initially a struggle to switch him over to kibble and he dropped weight. My vet recommended Royal Canin. Lu immediately took to it! You can’t imagine my relief to have him eating well and eating something I know is backed by decades of study to be healthy for him. Our toy poodle loves Royal Canine for poodles. We live overseas with the military. It’s sold locally in Japan so we don’t have to worry about using a local dog food brand. Is it more expensive than other brands? Yes, but the people who buy it don’t care about that, including me. It’s worth the cost. I’ve used brands, like Iams, which are full of fillers and left my dog unsatisfied and unhealthy. I’ve used Royal Canine with a Yorkie in the past as well and was very satisfied. I highly recommend Royal Canine.

My vet suggested Royal Canin for our new standard poodle puppy. We fed all of our other dogs a cheaper food in the past and had many issues with digestive systems. Reagan loves the food, eats it well with no issues and has very small formed stool even with his current weight of 50.7 pounds. It is more expensive but the vet says he is in the best of health.

Love Royal Canin is breed specific. Our new addition loves it and is growing like a weed and healthy. I did find a piece of light green foreign something in the bag of dry food; it looks like a piece of chewed spearmint chewing gum. Until now, I’ve been using another puppy formula for dogs up to 50 lbs. Royal Canin’s kibble is half the size of the competitor’s kibble, making it easier for my baby to chew and swallow. The guaranteed protein analysis is 31%, a little more than the one I was using, which is 28%. It is pricier than the one I have used in the past but my puppy’s eagerness to eat it makes it worthwhile.
