[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this food at the recommendation of my vet and I am so happy I did! She absolutely loves her food and the shape of it helps her slow down her eating, which has reduced her having issues due to eating too quickly. I plan to continue purchasing Royal Canin!

I’ve noticed an improvement in the appearance of her coat (much shinier) and she doesn’t appear to have any of the GI symptoms she experienced with other brands she consumed in the past. No other benefits that I can comment on, but aside from it being a bit pricy for such a small bag it’s an overall good product. I’ve also purchased RC canned food in the past, and my dog enjoyed that too.

I started out with the satiety for my pet. it worked great. to maintain my pet’s new healthy weight the Vet recommended the breed specific line for cocker spaniel, it has helped with skin and coat issues. it is easier for my pet to eat as the food chunks are designed for the shape of his mouth and teeth. he loves it!

I have two cocker spaniels my dogs love this food! It makes their coat so shiny and I can see how much better they are doing with this food. I wish I found this food before! Recently I switched from the cocker spaniel food to the senior food and they love it as well. Overall great products would tell anyone to get this food.

I’ve been feeding the product for a while now and it does amazing job on their skin and coat. It actually does reduce the odor from the dogs ears as well. If you’ve ever been around spaniels you know how beneficial it would be to have a dog food that can do this.

I am a believer that each breed has special nutritional needs to prevent breed inherent health issues. The old adage “You are what you eat” applies to animals also.

My cockers have been on Royal Canin from the time they are conceived (mothers on the Puppy food during pregnancy). They have stayed on the Puppy food until they were 1 year of age and changed to the Cocker Spaniel formula at that time. Never a health issue and they look amazing!

My cocker loves this cocker formula! It does make her coat and skin much better as the food seems to be a little oily/shiny looking. So I only let her have this once in awhile as I think she loves it so much, she eats too much and seems to gain more weight. I used to once in awhile feed her Kibbles & Bits, but found out that she is allergic to it as it makes her have welts on her stomach and itchy spots all over! Within two days of changing her food, the spots and itching almost went away! As we do not have a petsupplycanada locally, I can only buy this for her when I get to a store. So it is a treat for her that she loves!

My danny had tried over a dozen different foods and they all made him super sick (we’re talking out all ends!) I did a whole lot of research (grain free, usa only, etc) and figured cocker spaniels are super sensitive creatures, RC must know this! He has done amazing and LOVES it! Even my picky dog does! I am so happy to have found a food that he not only does well on, but I can find when I travel state to state! Thank you!

      PickyCockerSpaniel (verified owner)

I believe that I have the world’s pickiest cocker spaniel! I have literally bought and returned so much food that she would not touch it’s pitiful! ! She had skin issues when I got her and was extremely itchy, of course everyone demanded that I try all grain free foods and to rid her diet of grains and chicken. So I did. She lost weight (she was already too thin) and would not touch the grain free foods. I tried big name brands and spent well over $500 on foods that ended up wasted. I put off trying RC because everyone said it was a terrible food because of the ingredients but after hours of research and talking with RC reps I decided to try it. My cocker loves this food and I have seen major improvement in her skin and hair her eyes have stopped watering her ears do not smell and she has the energy of a puppy again (she’s only 3 years old but acted older due to lack of good nutrition). She doesn’t itch anymore and everyone is amazed at how soft she is. I will not switch her ever again. She is at her ideal weight and my vet is amazed with her progress. I just wish more people were more focused on overall nutrition and not so focused on ingredients. I agree ingredients are important but you can only take out so much before the quality decreases.

This is the only food my King Charles Spaniel enjoys. The breeder I purchased her from feed her the puppy food. After she was about a year old I changed to the Cocker Spaniel #25 which she seems to enjoy. The price for 6 pounds is high.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a few months ago for my two Cocker Spaniels. First of all, they both absolutely love it ! Jackson can be a picky eater at times, but not anymore! They both used to have patches of itchy skin, it’s now cleared up ! Issiah , age 13, dropped 2 pounds and seems to have more energy. Jackson and Issiah are happy and that makes me happy ! I recommend Royal Canin to anyone who has Cocker Spaniels

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] All 3 of our dogs have been eating Royal Canin for some time now and they all love it (even our VERY picky eater)!! It’s been great for their coat as well as their energy levels. Tho only complaint we have is, the Cocker Spaniel good isn’t available in a large bag! They may not eat as much as a lab, but people can/do have more that one dog! That’s the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5. Otherwise it’s great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have an 11 year old Cocker Spaniel Who absolutely thrives on this food. He picks around at every other food we have tried, but with Royal Canin Coxker Spaniel Breed specific dry food, Beau eats very well. The shape somehow allows him to chew it up with less little crunchy bits laying around his bowl. Very little mess is left behind, if any. I’m so glad we found this and he loves it!!

I had been using regular Purina dog food for the first couple years till a friend of mine who had beagles told me about Royal Canine. Yes it is a bit pricier than the bargain brands, but I noticed and others did too, a change in my dog. Her coat was so soft, she no longer scratched her ears and skin as much…. and after 2 years of using this dog food, I would never feed her anything else!

Best food on the market. Based on research, the food is formulated for breed specifics and each morsel is designed for the ease of getting it into their mouths and is easily digestible and full featured. Dogs love it and it is the very best for them and 100% nutritious.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Cocker Spaniel food has been great for my pup. Other brands seemed to make formula changes that would upset her stomach. Since moving to the Royal Canin Cocker Spaniel product her tummy has been good with every new bag.

My cocker spaniel has been on this for 6 years and has yet to have any skin or ear issues. Please bring this back before I have to switch him and risk issues. I am a technician and recommend Royal Canin to many patients but I can not recommend a product if it is not available. Please bring this back!! Please!! 🙂

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Winston is an adopted rescue. He has skin issues. He ate the Royal Canin Veterinary Diet for 2 years to rule out food allergies. I switched him to the Cocker Spaniel diet for all the reasons listed on the package, his fur, skin, eyes & ears, right down to the shape of the food being easier for him to eat, etc. He has done very well with it. He still has some skin issues that must be environmental but we’re working on that. He’s a happy energetic senior dog. He’s a good dog! He gets lots of love & care from the whole family right Dow to the grandbabies!

My dog suffered for years with dry skin, flaking, itching, and bowel movement was not regular. Someone recommended this dog food to me. Told me it was made strictly for cocker spaniels but other dogs could eat it also. I also have a chiwawa and I didn’t know how I would keep them from eating each others food. It has been approximately one year now and I have been watching Jackson and Skeeter’s skin improving and itching not nearly as bad. Ears seem better too. The only problem I have is that my cocker, Jackson, is and has always been a lot overweight and he doesn’t seem to be losing. If I cut way back on his food, he seems to be starving and week so I feel like I can’t win either way. I’m killing him by making him fat and/or making him sick by putting him on a strict diet. ROYAL CANIN however, is the best food I have tried for my pets and they love the taste. I give this dog food and AAAAAAAA+++++++++++. Would never change.

Had my dog on this since May 2019. It sounds and works great. My cocker spaniel is 9 years old and her blood work and everything has been all normal. No health problems so far (finger’s crossed!) But I have noticed that her food has been softer than normal (this has a 3% fiber, compared to when she was on Blue Buffalo which had 5% fiber.)
