When I put this in his bowl, however, he are it in about 2.5 seconds. To avoid any upset stomach issues I have been transitioning his gradually. I will continue to blend his old food in until he’s finished with it, however, if he keeps eating this I would happily switch. He used to eat Wellness core salmon but then stopped eating that too. Maybe he just gets tired of the same food. He is considered a small dog at 20 lbs but these pieces of food were super tiny. I’d probably get him the regular breed food next time.

My pup just turned 1 the other day and we bought this to be her adult food. We started the transition from her puppy food with 75% puppy food, 25% this. I tried multiple different methods but Rocky is just really picky when it comes to hard foods. He’s used to the one I feed him now so switching it up was a big no go for him. I gave him his first bowl of this last night so I’m not sure how the overall benefits are in terms of digestion, energy, coat, etc. but based on the great reviews, I’m hoping we’ll see some positive results! My dog had trouble chewing them they were so small. Think tiny tiny Tostito chips for dogs. The product does have decent ingredients but the size made it hard for him to eat. If you have a puppy or teacup sized dog this may work. But for my toy poodle they were too small.

I am so happy that I tried this dog food! I have 2 Chihuahua’s F(9 years) M(7 Years). After years of suspecting that the HORRIBLE brown tear stains on my female Chi were stemming from her food, I came across this digestive formula. After they were on it for 2, 12 lb bags her eyes have cleared up! It’s amazing, I feel terrible that the first 8 years of her life she spent with miserable wet brown eyes but happy that we have found a cure. I am only giving this 4 stars instead of 5 because I have purchased a few bags that were super crummy at the bottom, but I can deal with it if it keeps her face clear. Both of my dogs eat this with no problem! We love that it comes in small bites!

I wanted to write a review because most are from a free sample which, IMO, doesn’t give a whole picture. A couple years ago my dog was having a lot of digestive issues, so my vet recommended we switch to one of the brands vets always recommend. I didn’t like the brand or the ingredients. I feel like there is a lot of bias in the pet food industry to those brands. i can’t even provide a good explanation why I dislike them so much but I do and didn’t want to feed my dog it. After looking at other digestive lines, this seemed the most comparable to what was recommended, and I felt much about the ingredients. She did great on it. My dog enjoyed the taste. Her poops we’re consistent and normal. I didn’t have issues with a mess or too many crumbs. My only compliant is the bag doesn’t close up tight so I stored it cereal storage container- it fits perfectly in the oxo or rubbermaid ones. I had no idea this line came in a senior blend. I would have loved to feed her that I don’t remember that being available when we first switched to this. My dog is about 12 and been having health issues this last year and the digestive issues have been getting worse. I don’t believe it’s the food as she ate it without issues for a long time. Unfortunately, my vet recommended a prescription food this week. I’m sad I’m not able to feed her this anymore. I think this is a good food to try if your dog is experiencing minor digestive issues. My doggy was experiencing loose stools and having accidents. After a round of antibiotics, my vet suggested a digestive health food and I chose this one on the recommendation of the “Dog Food Advisor” website which I trust. She gobbles it right up. The kibble is small, perfect for a 5 pound yorkie. It also has a probiotic and prebiotic in it. I will also use the canned version of this product too!

I was feeding my puppy the wellness puppy food for the first year. He ate it ok, but never really seemed to like it and battled little episodes of vomiting in the mornings (despite later night snack). We bought a a bag of the Core Small Breed Digestive Health. The pups like the taste but our issue is the whole bag is nothing but crumbs. I’m not talking about the bottom of the bag, the whole bag. Making changes abruptly can cause diarrhea. This is a great alternative to prescription diets for sensitive stomachs. My pets did not experience any soft stools during the food transition. They both found it very palatable as they barely took breaths whiles devouring their meals. My only complaint would be the mess left behind in the food bowl. This could also be the fault of my dogs salivating excessively while eating. It’s not a repurchase for me personally but I will tell my clients about it.
