These bulbs don’t emit an uv with a screen covering. If you’re able to, always test your bulbs before use. These need to be replaced every 4-6 months

I bought this light for my bearded dragon and 1 week after I bought it the light went out. But it worked well for him, for the time that I had it anyway. And it may have just been that one bulb that I bought. Overall, this is a well working light and I think that it is perfect for people with lizards!

The proper care that’s told to customers for the turtles you sell,such as the Red Eared Slider, the lighting is incorrect. The staff needs to be educated correctly and petsupplycanada needs to carry the correct lighting.

Had this setup since it came with my “chameleon cage starter kit”. It’s not ok to use for chameleons at all. It made my chameleon get MBD from lack of uvb. I had to buy a t5 ballast and Arcadia dessert bulb. My chameleon could’ve died if I hadn’t researched and caught it early. Nothing the pet stores recommend and sell was correct. I had to buy everything online because they don’t even carry the correct stuff online. If you get a reptile join a group for proper info, they didn’t even carry the right calcium & multi vitamin here.

I have bought 3 of these cause they don’t make the bulbs for my old fixture anymore. The first one went out constantly and the 2nd lasted one month! My old bulbs lasted more than a year! DO NOT BUY!
