I bought this to use for my hognose to control an under the tank heater. When you’re buying this, keep in mind: this product (after looking online more) has not worked for so many people just because they bought a faulty device. If you have your heat probe set “directly” against a heating device, the thermostat also will not work – why don’t you tell me though why I wouldn’t need the temperature of the glass my snake’s skin could be directly against at some point. I set the thermostat to auto shut off her heating mat at 95°, it got to 106° and never turned off before I just stopped using my heating mat. Beware if you’re going to buy a thermostat OR a heating mat, get an adequate one that’s basically guaranteed to work correctly. If I hadn’t been watching that thing could’ve given my snake severe burns.

Simple, easy to use thermostat. I have 8 and have no problems with any of them.

Failed in 3 months and the heater is stuck in the open/on. Zoomed quotes 4-6 weeks for repair. I’ll just return it and let petsupplycanada deal with it.

Works great for heat emitter it’s not on package but mine has 2 degrees of temperature drop before it turns on.

I got this and found out I liked it even more once I set up. This one even has an actual alarm sound that will sound off if your temps go above below the desired setting you have chosen by the specific amount of degrees. Very easy to install, directions are easy to follow!

This is a necessity for most terrarium setups and is easy to use. I only wish it had a way to go down in numbers when programming instead of having to cycle all the way through the high temps to get to the beginning.

Bought this thermostat as part of a DIY reptile incubator. I have used thermometers to verify temps. I would say it is accurate within a degree or so. Does the job.

The thermostat is great. The included directions are not great, but Zoo Med has a YouTube video that explains step by step how to customize the settings.
