FEEDING INSTRUCTIONS
Snakes should not be handled before feeding. Snakes should always be fed separately. Place a frozen rodent bag in a cup of warm water for 30 minutes to thaw. Do not microwave. Once the rodent is completely thawed, grasp it by the tail with feeding tongs and present it to the snake. A little wiggling of the rodent may be needed to simulate life and encourage a feeding response. Release the rodent once the snake strikes and acquires. Always wash hands after handling the rodents. Frequency of feeding depends on the species; check with your vet or a PetSmart associate for advice.

I’ve bought these fuzzys for a couple months now to feed my ball python and while shes always taken them and hasn’t gotten sick from them at least 2 from each pack will always rupture the second she bites and spray its organs everywhere, normally i would put it off as a one off or just my snake being too aggressive with her bites. However the feed she had tonight the first fuzzy literally exploded covering a good three inch section of the tank in mouse gore and left an empty skin sack hanging from her mouth. The second fuzzy was even worse and literally fell apart when i tried to pick it up with the feeding tongs, it was rotted. These are mice that I bought frozen, brought home in the dead of winter walking and then put in the freezer, so you tell me how one managed to decay so badly it couldnt even be picked up by tongs.

petsupplycanada is the only store closest to me that sells frozen feeders, so it is convenient. I feel they’re a fair bit overpriced and undersized. They are oftentimes covered with waste (smeared or whole turds, covered in urine) to the point I have to rinse them thoroughly and rub with a paper towel to feel comfortable giving them to my snake. She eats them fine, however. Sometimes, there will be sores or bruises on them, which makes me question how well they were taken care of. If it weren’t convenient, I would not purchase them.

Great quality mice!! My corn snake and ball pythons gulps them down with no issues! I even switched one young python from live to frozen when I got her and she didn’t mind these at all.
For those worried about mice with waste on them…. just rinse and feed. Their waste is either inside them or on them; it won’t hurt your snake just because it came out lol. These are frozen mice so nothing will be rotting.
I have never seen sores on my mice, but a few bruises here or there are normal; these tiny delicate things did have to be packaged while fresh… it’s like bruising a tender apple in transit.
They are individually wrapped which is awesome for freshness and ease of thawing. I also store mine in an extra container to prevent freezer burn.
Once you start buying larger quantities, they are way more expensive than other places, but convenient if you don’t have anything around but a petsupplycanada.

I literally only buy these when no other feeders are available. While packed individually, seals are iffy at best and the rodents don’t look healthy compared to other brands. The price on them is also quite a bit higher than others for similar to better quality.

I really like how they have each mouse in a separate package, which makes it easier to thaw out the fuzzy. Having it in a separate bag prevents it from being freezer burnt and the mice were extremely clean.

Each individual feeder is in is own individual pull off package which is so convenient! Rather than having to pull apart a clump of frozen feeders or having to semi thaw the whole thing to remove a feeder and possibly touching the feeders and putting human scent on them which in turn can cause feeding refusal you simply pull off a sealed packet and thaw *simple* love it!

IThe mice don’t take long to thaw, and my snake doesn’t ever reject them, so I will mostly likely be using these products for the rest of her lifespan. I also like that they come in a box. I’ve tried the ones that come in a plastic bag and these are just simpler to store and easy to use.

This is our second order of frozen fuzzy mice from petsupplycanada. We feed our hognose snake thawed fuzzies, and this product is amazing. At 50 or 100 mice per package, these will last for a while and yet, they remain fresh and tasty (according to the snake!) until the end. I cannot recommend this product highly enough.

I’ve purchased Arctic Mice over the years when I didn’t feel like driving the hour to get frozen mice from my local pet store, and I don’t know what’s happened over the past year, but the quality has gone downhill so fast I won’t even risk feeding these to my snakes anymore! In almost every box I’ve bought there are multiple mice with cuts/bald patches/black stomaches/etc. They stink and I’ve had some of the pinkies explode if the snakes constrict them. On top of that, all of them have a yellowish tint and most look like they have freezer burn (either way over 6 months old or maybe been re-frozen), if this was my only option for frozen I would be feeding live!
