As a nurse, know that lamb is the meat protein least likely to cause allergies in dogs. 20 years ago when my dog scratched herself raw and her ears oozed all the time, the lamb diet nearly instantly cured her. I still go with this lamb not lamb meal product. Best wishes.

She doesn’t need her puzzle slow feeder cause she is getting her nutrition that I believe she was lacking in her rachael ray limited lamb n rice. Her coat is healthier and she eats less food. I bought this a few weeks ago because my usual “Scientific” adult lamb and rice and I needed something for Max. The lady working suggested Authority. She explained that the lamb in the other food was “lamb meal”, essentially skin, while the lamb in Authority is de-boned lamb. I mixed the last of what I had with the new food. WOW! Max was so excited! He loves this stuff. He has more energy and follows me to the container and literally drools waiting for me to put it in his bowl. He used to take a bite or two out of his dish and drop it on the floor and then wait a few minutes before eating very slowly. This food is gone almost before it hits his bowl. One thing that also shows this is good food is his stool. Nice and firm and the same amount as the Scientific food, which I’ve heard is a sign that he’s getting good nutrition. To boot, Authority is 15 bucks cheaper! Happy dog, happy dog dad!

Our vet suggested we put them to a grain inclusive food, so we decided to try this. We’ve been on it for awhile now, I’ve been noticing the powdery crumbs in the bottom of the bag seem excessive. This bag has random kibbles that don’t belong, they actually look like they might be cat food?! When we got to the bottom of this bag, I decided to measure the loose crumb stuff, there’s between 1/4 & 1/3 cup. Which is a fair bit, considering there was definitely some of it in their bowls all along as well. We wont be buying it again.

This food made my dog sick and caused a $4000 vet bill. Luckily I figured out the issue since my other two dogs refused the food for two days and I knew something wasn’t right with it. I contacted customer service who really didn’t seem to care except to apologize and tell me to return it. I even asked if they wanted to take it to test for contamination and they didn’t. I highly doubt not recommend this food.

I have tried purchasing various sized bags of this food. While it goes moderately well for my dog’s sensitive stomach, there are so many crumbs mixed in with the kibble, it is not worth the cost. I will be switching food after speaking with my veterinarian. Very disappointing because the small bag is where I started and it wasn’t too bad, but the bigger bags have so many crumbs that I can’t even scoop some kibble without getting about 1/3 of the scoop full of crumbs half way through the bag.

Bought this as my dog has bad allergies. Duck and potato still gave her bad rash. This seems to be working as sores are not bad and are disappearing. Didn’t have any reaction to the food. She likes it and she’s fussy so a plus too.

My 3 year old Boxer has been prone to allergies from a young age, we have had many trips to the Vet, for flare ups of irritated skin and constant scratching, he would get shots to calm it down and it would work temporarily. I have used Authority Sensitive stomach & skin for my 2 dogs. One was having some kind of stomach problem but loved the food. After a couple months of it he was doing much better actually. Happy it works so good even though it doesn’t cost as much as the BIG co.’s.
