It’s a light bulb. So far so good. It works.
I cannot comment on longevity.

I’ve read quite a few bad things about Compact UVB bulbs, mostly when it comes to keeping Beardies. While I don’t use these for my Beardie ( I use a 24” tube), I do use these for my Green Anoles. They seem to like them and get very close when it’s shed time. As soon as the shed is over, they continue to go about their business throughout their tank. They are fairly inexpensive (cheaper than the tube light) and don’t completely burn out after only a month like some of the basking bulbs I use do. I have two in my tank and rotate/replace them out one at a time every 6 months ( I started with a smaller tank and one bulb). I’ve experienced no eye problems using these bulbs and will continue to use them. Also seem to work well with live plants–mine are all thriving under these lights and I can kill a cactus in only a few weeks 🙂

The burned out within a day of purchase. I will go elsewhere from now on

The bulb stopped working after 3 days. That is better than the last time I purchased it and it didn’t turn on at all. I’ve been using this bulb for years because of my turtle and it seems the last couple years it’s hit or miss if they work. This is the last time though. Never again. I’m changing the entire lighting set up.

I have a red-eared slider turtle and this bulb has helped out greatly. She has really thrived with this light and am grateful that it lasted as long as it did. I have had the bulb for a little over a year and it just blew out today. Great bulb and quality! You definitely get what you pay for with this one.
I recommend this product to everyone.

Bought two a few weeks ago pretty sure I bought an opened product and possibly used one had its packaging on the inside and it’s info paper the others did not both work just fine but still I shout have to worrie about buying a open or used product.
But the product it self works great and I would definitely recommend

This light barely lasted me a month on a 12 hour cycle before it burnt out.

I bought this light because of the UVB output. Not only does it do this, it keeps the humidity up for my anole. Also, ever since I have been using this light, my anole has been green a lot more. I would recommend this to anyone, especially someone who has an Anole.

My turtle seems fine with it. I’ll be buying another when it comes time.

Worked for 41 day enough time for the warranty to go out so you can throw in the trash for 16$ per waste of mine and time

This a nice (not too bright) bulb that gives off heat for your tropical reptile. I don’t prefer the bulbs that are too bright and this is the perfect amount of light and heat for my red foot tortoise. He loves to bask under it and soak in the heat.

WE HAVE HAD AN IGUANA FOR 8 YEARS NOW.WASNT EXPECTING IT TO LIVE 2 MONTH.BECAUSE I MADE MY 10 YEAR OLD AT TIME TAKE CARE OF IT.WE’LL NOW HE IS IN COLLEGE AND HIS DORM WILL NOT LET HIM BRING IT. SO HIS MOM AND I HAD TO TAKE OVER..THAT BEING SAID.WE HAVE REPLACE 1 BULB IN EIGHT YEARS.AND THE ONLY REASON FOR THAT IS BECAUSE THE PERSON AT STORE RECOMMENDED US TO..NOW THE HEAT BULB ONCE A YEAR..WE RUN LIGHT 12/12..SO TAKE IT HOW YOU WANT IT.IF YOU BUY ONE AND IT BLOWS OUT IN AN HOUR.I THINK I WOULD CHECK BEHIND MYSELF.BECAUSE SOMETHINGS WRONG..ALSO YOU CAN PUT A LIVE TROPICAL PLANT IN THE CAGE ALSO AND THE IGUANA AND THE PLANT COMPLIMENT EACH OTHER.

Good UVB bulb. I’ve used the Exo Terra bulbs for my Red-eared slider for a few years now. They work well and last to the six month mark without issue. And of course, UVB is a must for your reptile, so do research on your pet’s specific needs before purchasing. Overall, Exo Terra is reliable from my experience and I would recommend.

I’m not sure how a light bulb with specific UVB output would get anything less than four stars other than if it didn’t turn on? It is a good product though, does the job and my frogs seem to enjoy it. Although it is $20 and for my terrarium I need to buy two, you only need to replace them once a year (suggested).
