As a person who has owned a large number of dogs over the years, this is by far the best dog food I have ever given my dogs. The ingredients are top of the line, and the taste must be amazing because my dogs cannot get enough of it. I noticed that my dog was maintaining a good weight while eating this food. I also noticed that my dog’s breath smelled better, his coat was shinier, he had more energy, and was more alert. The food is in large size pieces, which in my option is better, because the dog has to eat slightly slower to make it easier to swallow. The main ingredient of the food is chicken. The ingredients, vitamins, and minerals, listed on the side of the bag, are easy to understand so you know what you are feeding your dog.

My Vet recommended this food. We had our dog on a brand from a little “boutique” store and it was grain free. It was harming his heart. We switched to this brand and just had his blood tested again, it’s been about 9 months and his heart values went from 1100 (safe range was 0-900) to the 500 range. He’s never been food driven or motivated by any food and usually is uninterested come meal time. This food however is definitely different!! He perks up immediately and chows it down as soon as it hits his bowl. His a big, lazy, lump of a dog so having a formula specialized for low activity dogs has been perfect. While he certainly wasn’t overweight, he could benefit from losing a few pounds. This food does a wonderful job at maintaining him at a healthy weight. The best part, he finally has perfect poops! We’ve struggled in the past with fluctuations in his timing and the consistency of his movements. Some days are runny, some days are super hard. Not anymore!! My dog didn’t initially went crazy for it. He smelt it and walked away but once I added a little topping, he was all over it. After few times, I tried again to give him the food on its own but he didn’t eat it as is and I had to mix broth or something else with it to encourage him to eat it. My dog is a very picky eater and does this with most foods I’ve tried.
This product has Great ingredients and the texture and quality was great!

My one dog has used perfect weight in the past and she lost weight. But you have to be strict and not give any other treats/food:). She is a large breed and I didn’t like how the kibble was small. Sometimes she would cough a bit after eating. I had complained to Hill’s before about the size of the original kibble (as have other customers), and I am so happy they finally listened to their customers!:)Now they have this Large Breed kibble, in a large bag, and I couldn’t be happier!! Both my dogs love it and it is helping them lose some weight. Another benefit is one of my dogs always had #2 issues with other foods, but his # 2’s are normal now. This food also helps them feel fuller longer due to the higher fibre content. It also smells good lol. She gained quite a bit after an extended stay with grandma and grandpa getting table scraps and I had been trying to help her lose some of the extra pounds. Since being fed people food she became very picky about the kibble she would eat, I had tried a few other “weight maintenance” brands of dog food she did not enjoy and would spill on the floor instead.
