Cleaning Instructions:
Remove all bedding and wash enclosure with a mild soap solution at least once a week.
Rinse cage thoroughly with clean water to ensure the removal of soap residue.

Always replace bedding with fresh product.
Maintaining a clean cage will keep your pet from developing respiratory problems due to ammonia buildup in the cage caused by urine.

We have 3 Guinea Pigs in a huge 6’x2’x4′ double decker cage. We use the entire 85L bedding every 2 weeks on the bottom and a small bag of bedding on top and I love it. After taking out the clumps and evenly spreading it out, there is roughly 1.5-2 inches or so of bedding in the entire cage. The cage never smells and the bedding is not dusty. So after being guilted into adopting these 3 brothers, and making my kids super happy, I can say I am extremely pleased with the quality and odor control of the clean & cozy bedding. I would definitely recommend this bedding to friends.

I’ve been buying this product for a couple of years for my rabbit. It’s usually super white and really soft and absorbent, etc. However, In the past couple of months, the product I’ve been given has been an off-white old-looking color. And the texture isn’t soft but like dried chopped-up paper. This is how it’s been when I order to be delivered or pick up in the store. However, if I don’t order it online and go directly to the store and get it off the shelf myself then it’s the beautiful way it’s supposed to be. So what is up with this? If you have old unsold products in your store, I don’t want them for my pet. And if the Oxbow company is packaging this awful stuff you should send it back. Just saying. Other than that I love petsupplycanada very much.

We purchased another brand, same type of bedding, and I noticed that our guinea pig would push it around n rearrange her cage. She was always upset when we changed her bedding and I noticed a lot of dust at the bottom. I picked up some Kaytee brand and she loved it! No more dust at the bottom (which is great since dust is bad for them). No more being upset and rearranging her cage. I clean out her heavily soiled areas twice weekly so I can’t attest to long term odor control, but it definitely has good odor control for the few days between cleanings! She and I are both loving the brand! I won’t switch to another!

It’s absorbent and keeps urine from spreading underneath. My only reason to knock it down to 4 stars is it’s very dusty. It never used to be as dusty as it is, say the past year. If they could shake the dust out before bagging it somehow, it would be ideal. Nevertheless, I recommend this because of its absorbency and I never notice urine odors. I spot clean twice every day because my bunny does love to drink water!

the bedding is extremely dusty and it is not safe for bunnies to be inhaling that much dust. My rabbit was sneezing, would not recommend it. The bedding claimed to be 99.9% dust-free, but it was actually 20% dust-free. It even made me sneeze a lot.

Kaytee is the softest out of all the brands in paper bedding. A lot of brands are very hard and difficult to peel apart. I have found small plastic shavings in some of the other paper bedding brands. I have 2 dwarf hamsters that love Kaytee bedding.

However, there is absolutely no odor control so don’t buy this if that’s what you’re looking for. The bedding stinks after 24 hours so I have to change the cage every other day. It’s also very dusty.

I bought this for a hamster and three rats. Two of the rats are hairless, so a soft substrate is quite important. As I was putting this into the cages, I noticed that there was VERY little dust, which is important. I also noticed that it was incredibly soft, like Charmin toilet paper! It was very compressed, so it took a bit to fluff it all up nicely, but so far I believe this is going to be a winner.

Not sure.What is going on?But I ordered the spedding and when I took them out of the box.The bags were noticeably smaller and lighter compared to what i’ve gotten in the past. I thought maybe I ordered the wrong size.Grabbed an old bag to compare with. Is all state that they are 85 L… You can see the pictures for the size difference.They are not packed firmly.The consistency is more like a pillow there.They are definitely not eighty five liters anymore. Guess Kaytee and petsupplycanada figured we wouldn’t notice.

I had bought three packages from Kaytee, the first one was awesome! No problems at all, except ammonia control. It smelled terrible on day two. Don’t know if it’s the bedding, or the rats. I got another package when I cleaned their cage, (I had to sadly return the rats because they weren’t moving, biting, and had no interaction with humans. They were also from petsupplycanada.) and this one was also okay. The ammonia control is sort of better, and smelled a couple days in. I cleaned them I think three times now and when I got my package with the bedding in it, (and only bedding in it,) a thick layer of dust was on everything. I plan to return this and get a new one from Tractor Supply.

I brought this bedding for my pet rats. Normally I put down a paper pellet bedding first and then add a little paper bedding on top of the pellet bedding. This time I just put the Kaytee paper bedding down alone because I was waiting for the paper pellet bedding to arrive in the mail. I worry a lot about my rats sensitive respiratory systems so I am very careful about what goes in their cage.
This bedding to my dismay, used alone, was extremely dusty. The day after putting it in their cage there was a layer of white dust everywhere! Needless to say I removed it from their cage immediately. I returned it for a refund. I was surprised because I have not had this problem before with the Kaytee paper bedding. I don’t know if I just got a bad batch, it was very disappointing. Not sure if I will give it another chance, definitely not for using it as their main bedding.

This claims to have odor control but compared to others, these don’t control odor at all. In fact, I’m changing the bedding for my bunny every day as opposed to ever 3 days because the odor is so strong. It is definitelly dust free which I like but I would rather use the other one with dust because it’s better absorbent. These also stick to his feet and butt so the bedding gets everywhere, sometimes with p00p still stuck to it.
