With D-ring on top (facing closest to your dog’s tail), and buckle unfastened, place pet’s head through loop. 2. Insert leg through closed strap shoulder opening. 3. Bring free strap behind other leg and snap buckle together. 4. Use slides at neck and belly for final fit.

cannot begin to tell you how disappointed I am in the Kong Waste Bag Harness. I adopted a standard poodle (7yrs old) in January of 2023. I needed a good harness and since I have always respected the quality of Kong products I bought the Waste Bag Harness, your STRONGEST! 19 MONTHS LATER, I am having to replace it since one of the clasps has broken. No longer has a spring. Of course I have no receipt, since who would have thought that I would ever have needed one. I have rescued dogs my entire life and always trusted Kong. That trust is no longer there and I cannot recommend your products to anyone

I wanted a durable, padded harness with a handle and front clip option but a) the front clip doesn’t really work because when he pulls the slider buckles loosen and the harness then slips to the side and b) after just six weeks of use by a 21 pound mini Aussie some of the stitching is coming loose. So it isn’t all that durable, is it?

We’ve probably had at least six different harnessess for our dog over the past seven years, and this Kong harness is one of the sturdiest, best-designed we’ve tried. With the metal clips and buckles (not plastic like other brands), it’s a very substantial piece of kit yet it’s among the easiest we’ve found to put on, going over the head instead of fitting through the front legs first. Quick and easy to put on AND remove. The bag holder pouch is a nice feature…you don’t have to rummage around looking for bags in your jacket pocket (or, if you’re like me) finding arbitrary bags in ALL your jacket pockets when you least need them). We’ve only had it two weeks, but, in all, it’s a great fit and design.

Luna had a vet appointment and her harness I had was so old and dirty even after trying to wash it. Whig the banfield vet team is AWESOME!! For the price I paid, I expected better quality control. The harness itself fits ok and seems durable, but discovering the faulty zipper was aggravating. I purchased the harness for a rescue dock, and once I got a look at the stitching and how sturdy the harness was stitched, and the metal buckles I had to go out and purchase another one for my dog at home. I also fell in alive with the waste bag dispenser and extra pocket.

Did not like where the leash attached on the back of the harness. Had to return and get one where the leash attaches further back on harness. Harness kept moving forward and our pup kept coming out the front of it.

I chose this harness because of its adjustability. My dog is at the lower limits of medium and I wanted an adjustable harness as his weight might change. It has a little compartment for poop bags too that is a cute feature. Good value, well constructed.

I purchased two of these harnesses. One for my pit bull and one for my Yorke pug. Both are snug around the waist and more loose around the shoulders and chest which allows them to slip right out of them

We bought this 2 years ago for our German shepherd and used it to leash train him. It stood up to his pulling until we could train it out of him. The handle is strong enough that we can use it to lift our 95 lbs german shepherd up as well as hold him back if he jumps at anything. The straps are thick and don’t slip from the length we tighten them to as well as allow for different tightness across the chest versus across the stomach. We also love that he carries his own poop bags so we never forget to bring any!

Did not like this harness in particular, I have a large dog around 75 lbs husky , very strong that pulls. He slipped out easily through the head area of the harness. I recommend better the other kong harness without the wastebag feature. With the other harness you are able to restrain without dog getting out.

I bought the XL harness for my rescue lab mix. Fits ok but within 20 minutes at the vet for heartworm treatment, he chewed it right off. I certainly expected it to be more durable. The picture on the hanger shows the D ring toward the tail but that is not the way it actually works. Very disappointed.

I bought the harness, hands free 6ft leash and ultra durable collar. My 9 month Cockapoo easily chewed through the harness within 10 minutes of our walk (only second time wearing the harness). I don’t recommend the harness for dogs that have not previously been trained to wear one. This is for dogs already acclimated, I guess.

I bought a size small in all 3 of the harnesses for reference it is very adjustable l. Although the small doesn’t adjust to 12 inches in the neck part. I had to pull and sew down the straps on my males harness in order for it to fit. He s in black at most I would stay it adjusts down to 14 inches in the neck. If your dog normally wears a small to medium it will fit runs large

I got this for better control of my German Shepherd, and although it seems like a really solid durable harness, I already had to return one last weekend because it tore. And the replacement I got already has tears in it. I’m really disappointed

This is the second of these harnesses that I’ve bought. She outgrew the first, so a second was needed. At first, the xl wasn’t available, so I bought a different Kong harness. It worked, but it just wasn’t the same. I was so very happy to find the xl back in stock. I like the way it fits her, it does an excellent job stopping her from pulling and I can store poop bags in it.

Have bought two different ones for my 75lb pup. I Do like the material and quality but the fitment is terrible on both. After repeatedly adjusting sizing to try to remedy it seems almost impossible to stop the harness from from riding up onto the shoulders, making using either rear or front ring a pain during walks. Will be going with a different style.

I Bought this brand specifically because it is supposed to be a little more durable. Unfortunately it wasn’t as durable as we’d hoped. Especially for the price we paid. Shortly after I purchased it my dog was able to rip through it pretty quick. However, it is convenient having a trash bag on the Barnes.I really did appreciate that feature.

Two weeks ago I purchased the KONG Reflective harness because I needed a new one for our pitbull puppy. Reading some of the reviews, I thought it would be very durable since I’ve used the brand for chew toys that lasted a few months. I just put the harness on our dog on Sunday to see how it fit, it was a little loose even after adjusting the straps. I took it off but had her wear it on Tuesday, I had to make a run for about an hour, when I returned she had chewed through an area near her chest now barely being held together by a few thick threads. If she pulls hard enough the harness will break. I will be returning it to petsupplycanada.
