I was happy enough with my last dry dog food, a fairly generic yet good quality food that was fine despite his sensitive stomach, however the kibble was quite big and as my Chihuahua aged and started having problems with his teeth I started looking for a smaller kibble dog food. A dear friend who has Irish Setters told me about the Merrick Lamb & Sweet Potato, and to get my boys off what I was feeding them. So we did a gradual switch, and they are now on the Lamb. They also get coconut oil, pumpkin with the dry kibble – they bot seem very healthy and coats are better.
But have a concern – could the Lamb be to rich for them? All of a sudden have ear problems.
Would the beef be better?

My 3 yr old (yes 3) standard poodle was acting like an 8yr old when he got up after a nap or early morning. We changed to Merrick at the reccomendation of some friends who switched their mastiffs to the product. He is now almost 5 and keeps up with his sisters (age 4 and 8, also standard poodles) with no problem. still looks like a lanky teenager, but now with bounce and sometimes grace! I have also found that the volume of food they comsume is less and credit the natural/protein content for this. I expect they will have healthier lives without the ugly fillers!

This is the first Merrick dog food product that I have purchased. I have a Miniature Australian Shepherd. I decided to give this particular food a try as I had a high-value coupon and was impressed with the product claims on the packaging. I like that it is grain free as I like to feed my dog natural foods (meat and veggies if not feeding him traditional dog food).
