Our Coonhound has decided to start barking at certain cars and trucks so rather than constantly telling him “no” I decided to give this a try. It worked the first time in the factory progressive setting. He barked twice then quit and came to the garage door while I watched from living room window. I have a SportDog trainer that can give both audible and vibration corrections, but I need to be outside with him and press the controller buttons. This is so much easier and can be recharged as needed.

I bought the NoBark Collar for both of my English labs because we were moving into an apartment complex and needed more control over their barking behavior. We saw so much improvement within a day of using it. We did have to change the setting so it initiates at a higher level, but it has been a game changer for sure! I do however wish it also came with a remote capability so it could also be used for other behavior modifications. My girl tends to be very stubborn when confronted with outside distractions.

It is VERY effective, and WILL end the habitual barking. I have 3 beagles housed in outdoor kennels, that had developed a habit of persistent barking. The SBC-10 ended the behavior immediately. Correct color adjustment is crucial. I very much recommend using the ‘user select’ mode, and in the minimal stimulation setting, as it is more than enough stimulation for effectiveness. Although the description sounds less severe, I feel that the ‘progressive stimulation’ mode only creates inconsistency in training principle. My previous experience with e-collars was in stopping hunting dogs from running deer. I found that to be quite simple, effective, and straightforward. Using the SBC-10 is quite different in that it is not as straightforward for the dog, in that since the stimulation is likely to produce barking in reaction, and that a chain of bark/stimualtion, bark/stimulation is likely to occur, and takes MUCH longer for the dogs to learn to avoid the pattern. A mode level low enough to avoid the reaction barking, and high enough to stop the voluntary barking is the goal. Using an ordinary e-collar to break dogs off deer of course does not stimulate the dog to a reaction bark, but is not useful for bark control.

I bought one of these for our dog who barks at EVERYTHING and anyone that passes our window. It takes a little time to figure out the settings. I was hoping the progressive setting would work but it did nothing. I am now currently upping the settings on the collar (we are at 5 but need to go to 6) and I can definitely see a difference. Our dog is a different dog when wearing the collar so it definitely works. We used our neighbor’s collar first (same one) which is what led me to purchase our own. Their collar is for sure dialed up way higher than ours and worked like a charm! I think it might have been a little too much though so trying to get ours just right. When he was wearing our neighbor’s, he barked once or twice and then I never heard another peep out of him, so I know this works. It does take a little bit of time to figure out how to adjust it. I learned that you have to follow the instructions word for word or it won’t work as there is only one button that does everything. Now that I have it figured out though, it seems very effective. I do think they get shocked if close to another barking dog so if you have more than one barking dog, get one for each of them or the one wearing it gets punished for something they didn’t do. Otherwise, I really like that I don’t have to remember to carry around a remote to shock my own dog the second he barks. This one does all the work for you. My dog hats this thing so I had to rate the pet satisfaction as a one but my satisfaction is much higher.

I thought the quality and functionality of this was great, but it was just too big and heavy to work with our 13 lb dog. It would bump into things when he jumped on furniture or got in and out of his bed and that would knock it off center to a point where I don’t think the connections were in the right spot. So it only worked for us part of the time and without constantly checking and adjusting it, sometimes it didn’t work (I think because it wasn’t in the right spot on his neck.) I think this is probably a fine solution for bigger dogs but didn’t work for us.

With several referrals to SportDog I was sure this product would work and after trying competitor brands I was excited to try this one. I have an excessive barker, she barks at everything passing by, at home, on the road, at parks, wherever we may be she feels the need to constantly use her voice (much like my 11 year-old daughter, two peas in a pod, haha) I have tried other brands; however, I dislike them because she will get shocked when other dogs bark. This is the first collar I have tried that does not shock her when other dogs bark. The built-in technology does work on that front. However, it does not work in some cases, sneezing. My dog has been shocked when sneezing. Now I worry that the technology recognizes her sneezing as barking and will continue to shock her. That being said, I usually only make her wear the collar while we are not home. She does continue to bark at everything at home but as soon as we put the collar on her she understands what will happen, and rarely barks. But sneezing is automatic and she can’t just turn off a sneeze; therefore, I don’t use the collar as often as I hoped. Overall the collar works well, but I don’t use it at home which means still no peace and quiet at my house. I do recommend the collar, but caution use on dogs that sneeze regularly or have allergies.

I like that it’s rechargeable and it also comes with an extra set of contact points just in case you need them. I’ve used a bark collar on my dog before and I think it traumatized him when he barked and the collar “shocked” him cause he let out a big yelp. I guess he remembers what happened before cause as soon as he sees me pick the collar up he runs and gets underneath my bed and won’t come out. I’ve only been able to get this collar on him one time and when I did he jumped up on my lap and sat as still as he could. I’m hoping to get some help from someone holding him and maybe try a second time on him and see if he has a different reaction. He’s 7 years old and barks so dang loud and so much EVERY TIME I walk inside. I think he could probably wake the dead with how loud he is.

We have a 90-pound Doberman that barks at everything. We have tried 5 other types of bark collars, but nothing worked. We bought the SBC-10 in April 2020 (5 months ago) and it was awesome!!! It stopped the barking immediately, even on level 1 (out of 10), but since then we have had to go up to level 6, and it just doesn’t work anymore. I’m not comfortable going above that. I’m not sure if the collar just isn’t working, or if she just built up a tolerance and is ignoring it now. Bottom line, it’s a great training tool…if even for a little while.

I have had this device a few months. I have a Colorado Mountain Dog and she is very furry! These longer contacts get through to her. She also has an instinct to bark at many things so before the collar she would bark and run around. This calms her way down mostly. We even bought a second one as a back up! The only down side is its a bit hard to get the charger to connect and the collar is a bit difficult to put on due to its holes in the collar design. These are small issues and very workable.

I have an American Bulldog and he snores. He’s only had it a few days. Wearing it from when I got gone from work until bedtime. He lays around and snores A LOT. The darn thing put holes in his neck, I noticed it today. My poor dog has to go to the vet now. He only barks when someone comes inside my house, which is why I bought it. I rescued my 5 month old Yorkshire Terrier 4 weeks ago. I live in a one bedroom apartment and he was not barking in my presence. it was not until i bought cameras that i witnessed his COMPLETE separation anxiety when I would leave for work in the morning. The only thing I would change is the actual collar part. I know it needs to be secure on my dogs neck. But it is difficult to adjust once you trim the excess length. You only get one chance to cut it to the right length.

I am very disappointed in this collar. It works once out of 100 barks. I have shaved my dog neck, if put on the longer tips, and still dose not work. Maybe if I went with a upgrade with the remote one, it might have better. The SBC-10 will not get a good review from me.

I bought this collar so that the loudest of my two huskies does not upset my neighbors. It does work for barking. However because my husky likes to yell and howl, it does not pick it up despite having attached the longer prongs for long haired dogs. It has also picked up the yelling from my other dog from time to time and so the husky that is wearing the collar receives a shock despite him not doing anything. Kind of disappointed for paying as much as I did. I would recommend for barking, but not for a siberian husky.

I have two dogs and bought one for each. I DO NOT RECOMMEND the NoBark SBC-10. One of the collars clearly shocked my dog as he was lying perfectly silent. It was all I could do to get it off off him as he jumped, squealed and ran in full panic mode. It was heartbreaking to see. I wish I could return them both, but since the literature indicated the collar recognized your individual dog’s bark and would not corrected them for external noises or other dogs barking, I wrote their names on each collar with permanent ink.

This is my second collar I have tried for my corgi. He loves to bark loudly at anything and everything. After a few days I was able to let him go outside without wearing the collar and he stopped barking for a few days. Every now and again he tests to see if he has the collar on or not in which I will do some more training with the collar on. It has really helped leaving him unattended or outside to play. He hardly ever barks now and it has relieved a lot of stress. I started with the gradual increase setting but sometimes he would try and bark through the first couple levels. I have found setting it to 4/10 works well and he will only bark once and stop. Highly recommend!

With these collars as long as you properly fit the collar according to the directions the collar will deliver a correction immediately. Purchased this item because I recently moved and my dog wasn’t getting adjusted to its new home. She would bark constantly when we left behind to do some errands & neighbors were starting to complain. We decided to implement this and crate training, best decision I’ve taken. Progressive mode is the best solution when training. We only leave the collar on for a few hours when we are gone, and when we return and take it off she still doesn’t bark. It’s definitely helped with her excessive barking when someone knocks on the door, walks by etc. Great product, extremely satisfied.

We are so thankful that this well-made product has helped us train our sweet boy into a good neighbor.

I would give this 0 stars if it was an option. I have two mini schnauzers one isn’t too bad with the barking but the other one yelps when he’s walked because he’s overly excited. This collar caused my dogs real pain. They were yelping and jumping up into the air when it would go off. Then they would freak out and bark again and it would go higher and hurt them more and the way the collar is put on made it really hard to get it off quickly. One of them was shaking after and was incredibly terrified. It made me cry because of the amount of pain these caused my poor babies. Do not but this especially if you have a smaller dog. And yes they are old enough and heavy enough (according to what the box said) save your money and don’t traumatize your dogs. Fearful dogs can quickly become aggressive. Not worth it. Absolute waste of money and can’t be returned. Not to mention the handbook has a sketchy liability section saying that the company is in no way liable for anything that may happen to the dog.

We bough the collar 2 days ago for our mini pincher. As soon as we put it on and he started barking he received the static and freaked him out enough to make him stop barking immediately (we did put it on the level 1). About 10min later he went to his crate but within minutes he screamed and run out of the crate, than he screamed again right after – we believe he got a static without him doing anything. Needles to say we removed it immediately from his neck and he run upstairs and refused to come done for hours. I think the collar may had malfunctioned but I’m not sure what to do next?!

I personally like that it comes with a test tool so you don’t have to do it the old fashion way (video included) and that it’s not set off by other dogs barking near your dog. I have an old beagle and she tends to bark outside at night. Since using this she has almost completely stopped. If you’re looking for a solid waterproof and durable trainer for your dog look no further. Even though I got this in exchange for a review I would totally buy this over the other ones on the market today

He was trained 2 days in like no other collar was able to manage. Now on walks he’s a polite non-barking pup and he can be left alone without the neighbors knowing we’re gone.

Our dog would use to bark all the time while in the yard. She is 2 and we were a little worried she was set in her ways. The first time she barked with the collar on she yelped and cowered under my legs for a good 10 mins. She did not bark again when the collar was on that 1st day. Over the next 3 days we would only put the collar on when outside. Again, one bark and done. Now she doesn’t even bark when she has the collar on or if there is a bark with a shock, she still doesn’t bark even if we take the collar off her after the 1st shock. We haven’t tried the pick your own shock level as she had never made it go beyond that 1st shock.

Best money ever spent!! I have a 90 pound doberman who barks when he’s in a crate or outside alone. he would literally bark all night long. it only took him one bark with this collar on and i haven’t heard a peep from him since!! he even acts much more calm. don’t waste your time on any other bark collar this is the best one out. very easy to charge as well and lasts really long.

My shepherd was one year old when I purchased. At first the device worked great, for about two months there was no barking. Now he doesn’t stop barking. I’m starting to think he likes getting zapped. Is there something I’m doin wrong? I know it work because I’m able to test it. I change batter often. I’ve even switched up the prongs. What do I need to do?
