This comes nowhere near the recommended housing size. I would not recommend this because hamsters are living creatures and they deserve enough space to live!

I have used the Tiny Tales brand before, I have the rocket version and it is super easy to assemble and stays together well. The castle went together just as easy as my rocket did. My hamster loves it. It has a decent amount of space and if you need more you can just add another house with connections. I would definitely recommend this.

And this was just a super cute addition to their big giant cage that they already have. They love crawling through the tubes. It’s made very well. This cage is wayyyyyyyy to small if you need help finding a perfect size for your hamster go on YouTube and search up Victoria Rachel. Hamsters need a bigger cage. This is bad . Okay we just bought this today. Putting it together was not a great time. The pieces didn’t really go well. It was a struggle putting it together. I expected it to be smaller so very please it was bigger. We plan later to get a more sturdy habitat but as a first time affordable option this will do for now.

We plan on housing a mouse or possibly a smaller sized hamster due to the smaller size of the habitat! While I would prefer the habitat to be much bigger it does allow for you to add additional habitats to create a bigger world for your pet to explore and get exercise! The kit has most of everything you need to start out including a food bowl, water bottle, exercise wheel, and several connecting tubes! With how easy it is to assemble I would still recommend light adult supervision when assembling with a child! For around $50 this is a very easy to assemble starter habitat with the ability to add additional spaces for your small animal to explore! There is only a few things you need in addition to this product like bedding, feed, treats, and toys! I’d say that this is a perfect way to spread enthusiasm about small animals to young children, I would definitely recommend this product to parents and children!

I bought this cage because my daughters begged me to. It’s cute, but too small and not great quality. It was difficult to put together. There is also a gap where the door doesn’t align correctly. I heard a bit of a ruckus right before going to bed, went to check on the hamster and she had gotten her foot stuck in the gap by the door and was frantically squeaking and trying to get her foot out. Poor little thing! I managed to free her foot and put her in her playpen to make sure she wasn’t seriously injured. I’m SO glad I was awake! We will be shopping for a safer and more suitable habitat for her ASAP. If I could give zero stars I would. Do NOT recommend!

The house is tall enough to have everything in it they might need and a little more. It was easy to put together and add the little attachments. The wheel is a great feature in a smaller house such as this one. Animals need exercise and room to play and even though this is listed as a hamster cage it works well for other small animals that need the bars to be close enough together so they are not able to get out. The openings are tall enough and the do close safely even though we add ties to make sure it stays closed. To clean it, you just simply wash it out and take the extra pieces and I soak them in water to make sure all the ick off of them. I’ve already recommended this and my sister purchased one too.

I had to wait for my husband to get home to put a few tunnels together because they are so hard to snap in yet they have fallen out a few times nitw and then I struggle to get them in. Otherwise it’s afireable and a good roomy size. Our biggest problem now is cleaning as I know better than to take the top of the bottom because that did not go together easily either so I use gloves and reach in and scoop out the bedding and wipe out the cage.

They are living breathing animals and need large cages that exceed the north American minimum. Would give this product ZERO STARS if I could. This “Hamster Home” is NOT a good home for your small pet. They get easily bored even with added wooden chews and getting them out of the cage regularly, the wheel is too small so you will need to upgrade that if you do purchase this home, and they opt to chew the plastic pieces when they do get bored. Unfortunately, our hamster chewed the side plastic cap and pushed it out of the cage. Our hamster escaped during the nighttime and we were unable to find her. DO NOT BUY THIS.

If we wind up going regular we will break down and buy extra homes to give the fella a fun life. It very cute and fit in with the room but I can see us adding on to and making it a celebrity hamster home so it can have fun . The assembly of this product was pretty simple and straight to the point. The instructions were clear, and I was able to assemble it pretty quickly. I also love how compact the design is because it doesn’t take much space.
Another thing I love about this cage is that it has great ventilation, which is great for the little furry one, and also it helps keep the environment fresh (and not smelly).
In overall, this is a fantastic environment for any hamster and their little girl!

I had to struggle with it a bit to put it together, it was not the easiest but I managed to assemble the cage. This cage on its own is pretty small in my opinion. One of the good things about this cage is you can add on other “towns” to the castle and make a little village for your pet, giving your pet more room to run around. Several items in this cage are plastic and can possibly be eaten and chewed up, something to take into consideration as you don’t want any of your pets getting loose or injured.
The presentation when opening this item was really nice and kids will like it for sure, but will your hamster is the question.

I bought the Tiny Tails Castle for my daughter’s hamster a few weeks ago. It has an interesting look to it, but it’s kind of difficult to assemble. However, the biggest problem with the castle is that it is completely insecure. There are two portholes on each side of the cage that are supposed to be used for connecting the plastic tubes. When tubes are not connected to these pork holes there are plastic covers inserted to block them. This past weekend, we realized that our hamster was able to easily chew through the edge of these covers and then push the entire cover out of the porthole and Escape. Now our hamster is gone and our daughter is devastated. Under no circumstances, should you buy this cage.

We couldn’t figure out how the hamster kept getting out of the caged. After watching for abit, we saw the hamster fit through the door cage bars, by pushing her head against it and getting out. Once we zipped tied it, we noticed she also chew a bar out and pushed her body out of a whole.

It was a great way to teach my child responsibility, as everything from assembly (with adult supervision) to clean up was able to be taken care of by her. There’s many connectable spaces and parts that can be purchased and added, which if housing anything bigger than a small mouse, id highly recommend purchasing. The minimum size cage for a hamster is 450 square inches of UNBROKEN floor space for dwarfs and 600+ for syrian hamsters. you will not be able to fit an appropriate sized wheel or be able to fir the minimum of 8 inches of bedding. This is the cutest lil hampster cage Ive ever seen! My 11 & 14yr old assembled this themself w very little assistance from me. The cage is plastic and for $50 you cant expect a professional quality cage. It came with the food bowl, water bottle, AND the wheel – what a great kit for the price! When selecting a Tiny Tales cage, you have to understand that the attachment play houses are NOT meant to be cages, they are add-on fun houses. We have the pink princess cage w the pink princess castle tower add-on. Last thing – the tubes and rings on these are durable, yet functional. The kritter cage we had the ring stretched after tsking them apart just one time and the tubes are a lil more narrow and do not split in half if your lil furbaby gets stuck. What i love about this one is the tubes come apart if your guy is a lil too hefty carrying his food for later in his cheeks 😉 Its perfect for our new addition “Princess Chunks”. (Side note- on the add on tower. We packed some of the bedding to the bottom where the twirly staircase meets the bottom. She ia still new to the maze and was a lil confused trying to squeeze thru there…lol)

I thought you would just be able to pull it out of the box and put your hamster in. Not true. It was also a pain to assemble because the walls are slightly flimsy and they kept falling out of the grooves before I could put the connectors together. I will fully admit that it could also have been user error because my kids were trying to “help” and let’s face it, weren’t. I loved that everything you would need to home a hamster were included. It came with a food dish, water bottle, exercise wheel and two tubes with platforms for your hamster to climb through. You only need to purchase bedding and food. The enclosure is smaller than I expected. It looks massive in the picture, but it’s only large enough to have a dwarf hamster live in it. I actually wanted a gerbil or teddy bear hamster, but was told it wasn’t nearly large enough for either. There are other enclosures you can purchase that actually connect to each other through the tubes, which would make a much roomier home. Overall, it’s very cute and my dwarf hamster seems to adore it.

It comes with the exercise wheel, water bottle and food dish. So you have everything ready to go! It’s all open so there is a lot of airflow. I really like the large door and the closure which feels very secure. This design has a lot of parts, but I don’t think it will be too difficult to clean. Yes, it’s on the smaller side. It’s 19.5”x12.9”x20.7”. This is good for a single mini Robo. However this cage is designed to be connected to other habitats and play areas. It comes with the ports/tubes. So if you had 2 connecting, that would be ideal. But overall it’s a good starter cage for a single mini Robo. And it’s really cute, so it would make a great gift! I’m always impressed by the Tiny Tales line. They have themed cages, toys, accessories! And they really add a lot of fun for your little furry friends. Definitely recommend.

I was so excited to get this as my hamsters name is Princess and it’s very fitting for her but this cage is not an everyday cage AT ALL. It is way too small and I’m not sure why this product is even being sold as a single hamster needs almost double the space as this one has. The plastic is super flimsy and not durable at all. Cleaning it out isn’t really an issue but definitely do not recommend this cage to anyone. It’d be more likely for it to be a transport cage if it doesn’t end up in the garbage.

I bought this for my daughters hamster a little over a month ago. This morning I found the hamster in our cereal box, as she chewed the plastic “cap” off the stop of the cage and got out. She also chewed another cap and it’s not s useless cage. I went and purchased a wire cage, as this is obviously not a fool proof way to keep her safe. I would not recommend this to anyone, and I’m a little made I spent so much money on it and it’s now useless for us to use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a cute little cage better suited for dwarf hamsters or mice I don’t think a teddy bear hamster would be super comfy in here unless you buy the other cages to create a whole town. The cage comes with a food bowl, wheel and water bottle. It has two little shelves on either side so the critter can have different areas for feeding, sleeping and going potty. The cage was kind of easy to put together the most frustrating part is the side tower pieces but it didn’t take more than 30 minutes to put it together

The included wheels are too small and can lead to serious back injuries for the animals. Additionally, the bedding trays aren’t deep enough to provide the necessary 6+ inches of bedding for burrowing.

Great for a starter home with lots of options for adding on. There are several entrance points, plus the main one is spring-loaded, making it more secure. The installation installations were fine, but some of the steps were challenging just because it’s a nice tight fit. All in all, it’s a great product.

You will need to have several homes connected to get the recommended 450 square inches for just one hamster. We are using this cage for a place for our hamster to go while her cage is being cleaned. It’s just a 10 minute or so spot for her while her mansion is getting a once over. The water bottle is junk, it leaks every thing out within minutes. Thankfully we don’t need it. The stickers are cute but we didn’t use them. The shelves are a bit iffy, there a gaps where feet may or may not get stuck as they don’t fit tight or level. We are watching that closely. Recap: I do not recommend this for a full time home unless you have several connected together. This is much too small by itself to have any critter living in it. Looks cute.

I needed another set of hands to hold pieces in place while I connected the base to the walls. The cage is a great size and with the ability to expand by connecting to additional products, you can have a fantastically big playground for your critter. Once built, it was about the cutest thing ever. We no longer have our hamster, so my daughter is using the castle cage as a bedroom decoration. I should mention that my daughter loved “Dash’, the mascot for the brand, and all the stickers that were included.

The wiring is a little flimsier than I would like, but the other pieces are thicker plastic. It is a bit of a pain to put together because there are many parts, but if you follow the directions, it is pretty easy to follow. I also love that you can connect other Tiny Tales homes to it!
