FEEDING INSTRUCTIONS
Snakes should not be handled before feeding. Snakes should always be fed separately. Place a frozen rodent bag in a cup of warm water for 30 minutes to thaw. Do not microwave. Once the rodent is completely thawed, grasp it by the tail with feeding tongs and present it to the snake. A little wiggling of the rodent may be needed to simulate life and encourage a feeding response. Release the rodent once the snake strikes and acquires. Always wash hands after handling the rodents. Frequency of feeding depends on the species; check with your vet or a PetSmart associate for advice.

I’ve bought frozen mice before from other places and sometimes as they thaw they begin to bleed. But these typically don’t. So that’s helpful and less messy. I have 2 snakes so getting the larger box here tends to help more so I don’t need to travel as much to the store too.

Mice are individually quick frozen making it easy to use as many as you need to. They are a bit expensive, but real mice multipy very quickly and tend to escape their mouse cage … lol… fun for cats, no so much for the pantry.

I have purchased these a couple times. They are quite small for a “Large” I also get mediums and they are the same size as the “Large”. Also, this last set, of the 15, at least half were no good, stomachs looked very dark like they were already decomposing before even being thawed, had to throw them away.

The Artic Mice has reasonable size and good quality but I find that over time the mice are prone to breaking down with freezer temperature. Outer package could be more protective of the mice when in colder temp.

It’s hard to write a rave review for a box of frozen mice. We have been buying these for our corn snake for years now and after soaking them in low sodium chicken broth for her, she has never missed a meal. They look well enough when thawed and she seems to be doing well on them so there ya go

Literally every “large” mouse that you buy is exactly on the threshold of what is considered “large”, EXACTLY at 19 grams. Considering the price this is a ripoff and rediculous. I ONLY buy these as last resort when I run out of frozen thawed, do not recommend them unless you need them. $3.50 a pop for a microscopic “large” mouse is robbery.

I am very very disappointed with petsupplycanada. I have, for years, bought my LG Frozen Mice for my snake here and the last few times I drove to my usual petsupplycanada (12 William Kitchen Drive) they were out of stock. It has been a couple months now that I have driven there and they did not have stock. I spoke to employees who let me know that stock is coming but not sure when. I then started going to another location about 15 min away (2050 Eglinton Ave E) and they also do not have stock there either. Absolutely tiny for “large” mice, per other reviews. At $5 a mouse these should be twice the size. Do your research on the Arctic Mice brand, they are probably the lowest quality feeders you can get. If you are local to Port Credit, Port Credit Pets literally sell jumbo mice for $2.79 a piece. They deliver. I cannot believe I’ve been robbed blind by petsupplycanada for all these years.

My almost 2 year old corn snake who shouldnt be eating large mice yet, and should be on large mice his whole life, could not live his whole live on these small mice. I got some tonight and fed him one and it was only 17 grams! The biggest I have seen them is 23 grams and they just arent big enough for him to live the rest of his left on…
