Bought this for our piggies Bc it’s clearly marketed for guinea pigs. Our new piggie Ella (we had one and got another), was just eating and started ,what looked like, having convulsions. So we tried to pick her up and she ran , so she clearly wasn’t. However when we got a hold of her , a sunflower seed was stuck to her tooth and she couldn’t get it off and started panicking which could have caused her to choke . I googled and this was what came up, which is fine Bc this kind has pumpkin seeds in it as well. So beware. Do not feed this to ur babies! Don’t risk it! I will be contacting petsupplycanada tomorrow

This product is becoming a big issue for my guniea pigs cage .. Cleaned it last night ( scrubbed and cleaned very well ) to wake up and find ANTS crawling in his food as im cleaning it up again .. Not sure why ants are in his food but in honestly upset

This is not appropriate food for guinea pigs. It is all junk. Guinea pigs should have a timothy-based pellet that is *all pellets,* none of the colourful pieces. Of course your pigs like it, it’s all sugar. Would you let your children eat a bowl of sugar for breakfast? Didn’t think so.

Piggies LOVE this, but you shouldn’t feed JUST this, there is too much sugar. I buy a plain timothy hay pellet, about 2 times as much as of this product, and mix it. They also need to have FRESH fruit and veggies, like kale, spinach, chard, and they love a few grapes and tangerines.

This food is inadequate for guinea pigs due to the high sugar content. Guinea pigs are also selective feeders so they will choose to eat some things and not others so they won’t get the vitamins they would get in just a pelleted food. Overall this food is not good for guinea pigs.

This food is highly inadequate for a guinea pig! There’s too much sugar in it! To everyone who’s thinking about buying this because your “piggies like it”, it’s because those are treats! It’s like chocolate! A human being who is left to decide between a vegetable or a chocolate is likely to get the chocolate! In short, they may like it, but it’s not enugh for a good diet! They can get overweigh and contract diabetes. Please buy another brand.
