With this harness, the leash attaches at the front of your dog’s chest, unlike standard collars or back-attachment harnesses which compel the pet parent to pull from behind. Apparently there is a med-large size, which would have been perfect (I think), but that’s not available on-line. I will be returning this one and getting the med-large.

We have gone through four different types of harnesses on our 5 month old Aussie. Over his head, step-in, no-pull with chest strap that went between his legs and none worked as well as this one! He has the freedom to walk with out a strap pulling his leg to the side and our walks have improved 100%.If you have a “chewer” be sure to remove it after a walk. Four days after I bought it, I left it on him for 15 minutes (in his crate) and he chewed through it BUT, I called the company and a new one was shipped that day, FREE! Lesson learned. I highly recommend.

At first my dog had a hard time getting used to walking next to me and kept pulling. I thought I had it on him correctly, but when he pulled it would move the harness. Several times I had to stop and adjust it. So it took awhile, but by the end of the walk he was slowing down and walking next to me. Then the harness was perfect. I am hoping he will continue to walk next to me. I will follow the training pointers included with the harness.

Bought this a week ago for our 5 month husky-lab and it instantly worked for the pulling. Not a huge fan of the ring being attached at the front as she would typically walk into me when she would try to pull. She had limited alone time with it on and it was chewed threw within the week. In order for her to wear it properly it meant it was loose when she wasn’t pulling and could easily fit it in her mouth. Overall, I would probably not use this product again (I had really high hopes after the first couple of walks), may try a kong harness or stick with the collar and work on the pulling.

This was bought to replace another that looked nice but simply didn’t work. First walk was so much better. Nearly no pulling, spinning, or attempts to change direction. The martingale feature is probably a big part of the improvement. The four adjustments are significant to comfort and fit. And comfort and fit improvements must improve focus. The other harness was simply uncomfortable to the point of distraction.

Got the deluxe model and glad I did because it’s quite a bit sturdier than the regular and only $2 more. I love it because it’s made a HUGE difference in my enjoyment when walking our Wheaten (and probably hers too) I used to hate walking her because she’s such a puller. (it was a real DRAG) It’s been a complete turn-around in her onleash behavior and I’m so glad we got the harness. I really didn’t expect to be so happy about this purchase. The only thing that’s a bit off is that it’s slightly too wide across the chest for this dog, but it still works well.

This was a life saver as my puppy was choking and pulling on her collar. It was a little tricky to get the harness fitted, but step by step instructions are supplied to help. Because the leash is attached to the chest strap, there is no more choking or worrying about her harming herself. It is very sturdy and holds up to a lot of chewing!

My dog had surgery around her neck. I purchased the Deluxe Easy Walk to accommodate the wound because her old harness fit too closely near the wound. I originally was not a fan of this new harness because I prefer the notch (that attaches the leash) at the top of her body and not around the chest area. But I wanted to give it a try so I bought it, and also bought the regular Easy Walk Harness and the 3 in 1 Harness (all made by PetSafe). I tested all 3 and really liked the 3 in 1 Harness; it’s well made, has the notch at both top and chest area, but it didn’t quite fit as well as the Easy Walk and Deluxe Easy Walk. Besides price and color, there’s very little difference between the Easy Walk and the Deluxe Easy Walk. I chose the Deluxe Walk because it fit just a little better! I’m really pleased with this product! It’s played a huge part in my dog’s recovery process.

I have been using this harness since my dog was about 6 months old. Every harness that I have tried that clips from the back entices her to pull, but when I switched to the front pull EZ Walk, it almost immediately corrected the issue. The only downside is that she frequently walk over it, but just being attentive will prevent that from happening.

My dog has anxiety. She pulls because the second we get outside her objective is to come back home. This harness does not allow for her too be able to get too far ahead of me. Because of her anxiety, she still attempts to pull and get ahead, although she can’t get too far. I can give her a gentle corrective quick snap back with a command to bring her back. As a result of the leash being attached to the clip at the front of her chest she physically is unable to get ahead of me. Also, when she does pull her legs are pinched together so she is forced to slow down/stop.

Harness, fits well but our dog has scratches and sores from it rubbing on her body. Person sold the padded one to me and we still have issues. Our vet recommended putting extra padding to prevent. They said her skin could be sensitive, but said overall it’s a good product. So those are things you need to take into consideration.

Thank you to previous reviewers for recommending this to help with pulling, that heavily influenced our decision to try this one and it has worked out great! We had a different type of harness originally that had the leash hook on the dog’s back, and our puppy was SUCH a puller on walks. Once we changed to this harness he has already gotten so SO much better with walking politely. Like other reviewers mentioned, being able to pull the pup to face you helps get their attention if they’re misbehaving. Our pup is only 5 months old but has been a great walker since we got this and switched to a plain leash instead of a retractable one to go with it. Very worthwhile purchase.

I would not have believed it if it wasn’t for my own dog who learned to pull and pull and pull a normal leash and a normal color. Then, a friend suggested the pet safe harness. Now, my dog cannot pull, because the harness actually keeps her from pulling. I would not of believed it myself. The difference was in one day. No more coughing from the dog because I was hurting her throat. No more pulled arms or shoulders her elbows. And I look like I’m in control of my dog all the time. Best with a standard 6 foot leash. A 6 foot leash give us the right feedback to the front chest of this dog. This harness is the easiest to put on, typically, goes over the dogs had first, and then the colored strap goes under and behind her front shoulders and easily hooks to the other side. It’s expandable and contractible if you get the right chest group. Awesome product. Lifesaver for everyone.

Happy I got this harness as my puppy was pulling all the time and would literally be coughing as he pulled me for a walk! This harness definitely helped us but it is not adjustable enough to fit his small chest as it should and tends to slide down into his shoulders even though I have it as tight as it can go. The under strap fits fine. Definitely a better walking experience but not 100%.

My husband and I just got this for our 5 year old chocolate lab. We lived on a farm for most of her life and had no need to have her on a leash. Once we moved to town we both really struggled trying to walk her. We tried a few different things like a chocker collar and harnesses. Either really made much of a difference. Walking her was just not an enjoyable experience for any of us. She pulled so much that it was almost impossible for me to walk her alone in the winter with snow and ice. I ordered the Easy Walk Deluxe. It was easy to adjust to fit our puppy. It is very well constructed, looked great and had reflective material making it easy to see in the dark. It was truly amazing what happened the first time we took Piper out. She tugged a bit at first. By the time we walked about 30 feet, she was not pulling. She would walk to the point where the leash was tight and immediately slowed down. I was very impressed. No training and really no effort on my part, I just let the collar do the work. Piper weighs about 42 pounds and the medium collar fit great – with room to grow. I would highly recommend this product.

I bought these for my 2 Frenchies, they stopped the pulling instantly, but unfortunately, I could not get a proper fit on them. The medium size was too big, even at the smallest setting. My smaller dog slipped right out and the other one chaffed badly in the armpits. I returned them for size small, and they were too small at the largest setting…. If I could get them to fit properly, I would have been happy.

I thought that the harness was great. It definitely stopped my lab from pulling but I noticed when we got home that he had a really bad irritation on his side from where the buckle was. I had a medium adjusted all the way out and it was too small so I bought a large and every strap is adjusted as small as possible and it’s still too big. I will have to modify it or take it back for a refund. Who ever designed these should have done a better job.

I bought this harness for my American staffordshire terrier. He was 7 years old 75 pounds when I started using these harnesses. He is now 9 years old. These are the best harnesses I have ever used. Prevents a lot of pulling and embarrassing dragging associated with bully breads. It also helps me maintain control of my dog when he is triggered (animal reactive) or shows sign of reaction or aggression, I can completely redirect him in walks and maintain absolute control over him. We ended up buying three more as we went from one dog to four. If you use them as described they hold up really well.

Adjusted to smallest fit but then the nylon webbing covered the padded areas that the Deluxe offers and the chest buckles ended up right at his elbows and would rub. My dog fits a size small easy walk harness so we got a medium for him to wear with his winter coat. We tried using a harness with a back D-ring but he was pulling like crazy on walks. It worked with our old dog, but not with our energetic puppy. We had the standard easy walk harness for our last dog. It lasted us 15-16 years. I like that they now made the padded version. It is a massive improvement to keep my puppy from pulling on walks. He still pulls some, but he is so much easier to manage. I do wish there was more reflective stuff on the harness. But it is still a great product. Great quality. Presuming this one lasts as well as the one for my first dog, it is definitely worth the money.

It took about 15 to 20 minutes of reading the instructions and manipulating the straps to achieve an appropriate fit for my dog. It is critical that it be snug but not overly tight. We have used it now for 2 weeks and it has been extremely useful. Because you lead the dog from the front, it automatically put my dog into a heel position. It took her just one walk to discover that the harness was only uncomfortable if she was out of position. My dog is fear aggressive at times and this harness has been very helpful with that. It gives me greater control over her and I can get her attention easier and calm her much quicker now. My dog has no hesitation with harness. When I take it out, she gets excited and runs to the door waiting for me to put it on her. I can wholeheartedly recommend this product.

My 45lb hound/staffy mix was impossible to walk. It was constantly a fight of pulling, keeping her from running/lunging at things, and trying to get her to slow down. Putting the Easy Walk harness on her was like the difference between night and day. My 10 lb wiener dog pulls harder than her now!

I’m not sure why this works…it just does. When I measured my dog he was right on the edge between two sizes, so I ordered the next size up. It was too big in the front, but I used it anyways and it still helped a lot. Because he is still a puppy, I decided to keep the larger harness and to also order the next size down. That arrived last night, fits snuggly and well. Afterwards we went out and had a near perfect walk! He stays right at my side in a heel position. Now we did not run into any other dogs on this walk, so I’m sure there is still work to be done, but there is something about having the lead tie on to his front (chest) that makes him walk much, much better.

I’ve tried several harnesses for my two dobermans as my female pulls like crazy and is very reactive to squirrels and bunnies. I’ve been worried she will hurt her throat when we walk them on their collars. Both dobermans are around 85 pounds and I got the size large which fits great and is adjustable to fit them right. I’ve tried other harnesses where either the neck or the chest would fit but not both. Don’t expect this harness to solve all the pulling issues, the dogs still keep tension on the leash but the pulling seems much less aggressive and I like that it’s not putting pressure on their throats as this harness fits around the front of the chest, and over the shoulders. I think the design of this harness actually does help with pulling as the front clasp can’t rotate all the way to the side as the vertical strap behind the front legs keeps it from pulling to the side too far which was the issue I saw with someothet harnesses I tried previously.
Overall I’m actually happy with this harness and glad I tried it. I’ll be keeping it and continue using it for sure!

I honestly didn’t know what to expect as my 7 month 65 lb saint bernard mix puppy has been a nightmare to walk ever since he was young. We thought he just needed more training but as he grew it just got worse. It was impossible to walk him without at least two people as he would dart at other dogs and charge forward, we’ve fallen multiple times. The change was incredible! I couldn’t believe it was possible to walk him so easily, I came home everyday this week without sore arms and legs. Another member of our family was even comfortable enough to walk him with her arthritic hands, something we would never dream of previously. I bought this to help an Australian Shepherd heel a bit better. While only 45 lbs. she is a strong dog. Once I figured out how to get this harness adjusted to the right size (it adjusts in 3 places) it worked great! I bought the Medium size. She wasn’t crazy about it at first, but got used to it. Doesn’t completely stop her from pulling, but definitely helps! Probably reduces pulling by about 90%. It takes some getting used to on the part of the human as well, especially as the leash attaches in the front. I found using a shorter leash (5 ft) instead of the traditional 6 ft leash, really helps. Struggled at first getting it to fit right, but once we got it the right size, super easy to get on/off. Love this harness!
