We use this bulb in a combo light fixture with a separate halogen bulb for light/heat. We’ve had our turtle for about a year now and both bulbs have held up well.

Bought the product to replace old All Living Things [“ALT”] equivalent, after discovering the latter is now also very dark, emits less heat as well as white light,and is not liked as well by the animals [green anoles].

I bought this for my two turtles with your red eared sliders, the bulb seem to work well provided plenty of light, and I don’t have any complaints other than my fixture tipped over as I was cleaning the tank, and the bulb broke from its plastic base housing. Not sure if these lights should have better Construction and resistance two small accidents? I wish the bulb was made a little bit better, with more comercial grade materials.

I’ve been using these bulbs for 5.5 yr for my box turtle. I change the bulb as recommended (annually) and there is not a hint of pyramiding in his shell.

I like this brand, and have used these exact UVB bulbs for my geckos before. I bought one from petsupplycanada, and it seemed to be working, so I ended up buying another a month later. however, the new bulb was very dim and didn’t work properly immediately out of the packaging, and just so happens, my already existing bulb burnt out after only a month of use. I bough another one of these bulbs from my local reptile store, and it is much brighter than either of the petsupplycanada bulbs ever were. Will be buying these bulbs again, just not from petsupplycanada, as they don’t seem to regulate whether their bulbs are used or not.

This light appears dim and faint. Compared to other lighting this light is so lacking.
