I love that this helps with how much my dog pulls. It does not completely solve the impact from the pulling. But it does help it to not be as bad. The one-inch width and 6-foot length is perfect length for giving your pet enough room to walk in front, by your side or to stop and check out a new smell. My dog Hazel weighs only around 20 lbs., however, if she spots something like a squirrel, another dog, etc. she’s a pulling powerhouse and a few times has caught me by surprise by launching the leash right out of my hands. This leash helps me to feel more relaxed and also frees up my hands for another dog (I can focus on my other smaller dog) or to pick up the poo.

The handle is soft, with a clip to either comfortably wrap around your wrist or attach to perhaps belt loops? I would say it’s made for a 60+ pound dog. If you have smaller dogs, this leash will be way too much. The metal clasp is big, but easy to use, and it would be great if they made a scaled down version of the leash for smaller dogs too. The shock absorbing feature really seems to work for me as if the dog pulls, there’s give with the leash. It’s a wrist saver. The handle and wrist loop is grippy, and feels secure when I hold and use it. Highest quality leash I’ve ever used for sure!

Great until your dog exploits its flaw on being able to be over tightened and snap the cheap plastic clip. Husky on the run for 40 mins rates a 1-star. Check out Arcadia Trails its metal construction. Fastens together and how you connect the leash never allows over cinching of the waist and breaking.

Love this leash. Gives me so many options for running with my dog on a trail or busy street, or just a leisure walk with tons of smells and distractions (I have a hound and there are many things to sniff)! I replace her leashes every few years; my only thought is that the bungee might not last that long but that’s about her being a hound and apt to take off like a lightning bolt, stretching the least to its limits. I’ve no problems connecting the leash to my waist belt. My 60 lb pup is easily 200 pounds of strength and after a couple of years, the buckles have held up just fine.

We just got a purebred registered Australian Shepherd and he is already quite strong at 7 months old. I love the 2 hangles, the length and the shock absorber part too. I also love the reflective tape that shows in the dark. I feel I have more control and have a variety of lengths to work with. I have yet to explore with it by using the shock absorber’s main use for attaching leash around the waist. Once our puppy is trained I think we will really like this feature.

While on a walk he see’s other animals or people he wants to run towards them, this leash seems spring loaded. You have to wrap the leash a second time around so that it feels secure.

I finally realized you can use it around your waist but I honestly wouldn’t because it doesn’t make sense. I have a 15 lb dog so it’s very sturdy and I don’t see him chewing it up or it snapping any time soon. The handle piece toward the bottom is also very nice if I need to yank my dog back quickly but it does hang awkwardly when my dog is walking and it’s not in use. I can clip this to the belt and get a more even exercise while also ensuring my dog never gets away because I drop the leash. of the loops is closer to the collar clip, which has been great for holding our pup when he gets overly excited by squirrels. The clip is smooth and secures well. The shock absorbing leash idea is a good one, however it is heavy and pulls the dogs harness off to the side. Attached to the collar, it can drag on the ground if not kept taunt. I really appreciate the short lead handle incorporated close to my dog for when I need to keep my dog near me. Now that I’ve become more familiar with my new dog I realize she doesn’t pull on the leash so I would have been better off with a regular leash.

This is a strong well designed lead but the bungee design does not allow for easy correction of your dog unless you are holding onto the second handle closest to the animal. If using as a regular lead, understand that you will have minimal control ofy your dog likes to pull. Not a good leash for training since you can not easily correct them with a firm on tug back in line.
I bought this leash last week but returned it after realizing all this after the fact.
I recommend using this leash under specific circumstances that you decide would be appropriate.

I bought this last week & before the weekend was over our labradoodle had almost chewed through the section between collar & the “handle” section. It was advertised as the toughest leash that King offered. I’m getting a metal leash to replace this. I think it should have lasted more than 4 or 5 days for the price they charge! I would only recommend this for large dogs that aren’t heavy chewers.

Overall this is a good leash. My only complaint about the product is that the first layer of stitching on the handle closer to the hook came undone after just a few days. The second layer is holding well and I really like the leash. I hope it continues to hold up as it’s convenient to have great control of my dog when I need it and then let her run freely with the long end of the leash.

It allows you to adjust the part you put around your wrist, waist (or wherever else) and had a D hook to use to attach anything or to hang it from. The metal is all very heavy duty, expected for Kong products. The accordion like portion allows enough give but if your dog pulls, it can be a bit frustrating. There is nice padding on the handle as well.

I bought this yesterday and it’s so great. My cheap regular leash trying to handle a 130lb dog was causing shoulder and back pain, but with this leash it honestly makes it so comfortable. On a larger dog this wouldn’t happen. The secondary handle is great for those that need to keep a tight leash. The bungee action is also really great for dogs that pull. The leash itself is super heavy duty. I like the loop where I can attach my poo bag holder.

I thought the shock-absorbing version of the same leash would be better, for those times my pup gets distracted by a squirrel and tries to drag me there. I think it is more comfortable for those situations, as it’s a more gradual pull, but then for normal casual walking, it’s easier for her to pull and not realize it. With the non-shock absorbing version, she quickly adjusts to the limits of the leash to not pull while walking. Overall, I really like this leash, but it’s better to be introduced once leash walking is already fine-tuned, since bad behaviors are easy with this leash.
